Great for Handyman/Mechanic, February 2, 2009

This is a great item for any handyman or mechanic. It's magnetic and will stick anywhere there is metal. Holds nuts and bolts close by so you won't lose them.

Best "husband" present ever!, October 21, 2010
By Shannon Smith Hartwell (California)

My husband is constantly doing bike repair in our backyard. In the middle of each repair session I would hear, "ARGH! (insert expletive here)" because he'd lose a bolt or screw or nut...NO MORE. For our anniversary I bought this magnetic bowl and it has been bliss ever since. He said, "You REALLY know how to pick out a perfect present, Honey!" GET ONE. You will love it.

A very handy product. Now I no longer have to look for screws, nuts, and washers on my garage floor. If your eyes are a little older like mine, you will really appreciate this product.

Just about useless..these days., November 22, 2011

Almost every small part these days are an aluminum alloy......which is a non ferrous metal......which is not magnetic..........hmm. I guess if you're working on a bike pre-2000, it may make sense.

Tiny Bowl For Tiny Parts, March 3, 2011
By Ste7en2buy

This bowl is small, but just right for tiny bike parts or if you are one to disassemble electronic cases or cabinets you will appreciate knowing every small item will hold fast to this very strong magnet. Blue color helps to identifiy small parts easier too over the chrome or stainless steel magnetic bowls. Bottom magnet is very powerful.

Nice addition to the workshop., December 26, 2010

This came as an add on to another order. It is a nice item to have went trying to keep screws from rolling all over the shop table. My only gripe is that the magnet is very strong and it can be a bear sometimes to move the bowl.

Excellent for Small parts, December 4, 2010

This magnetic bowl works perfectly to keep all those small nuts, bolts and washers from rolling off while you are working on your bike. Just remember though if its not metal it won't engage the magnet...learned this the hard way when a piece I thought was metal was not and I accidentily dumped the bowl...all the metal parts stayed in place but the others went everywhere. My fault not the bowls. I keep it right on top of my workbench and eaisly drop pieces in it as I work.

It is very cute, July 7, 2011

I bought it with the intention of holding parts while working on my bike.
But it looks so nice that it seems a shame to dirty it with greasy parts.
The magnet is strong.
I keep it in the living room filled with paper clips and turn it upside down above visitors' heads.
So I will probably order another one for bicycle parts.

Good, but I like Pedro's better, February 1, 2012

In line with what others have said, color influences the usefulness of magnet bowls. I also own a Pedro's magnetic bowl, and I find the Pedro's has the slight, 5-star edge on Park here because the mustard yellow color provides better contrast against dirty and dark metal pieces inside.

Works very well, February 21, 2012

steel things stick to it so I guess it does its job nicely. I can magnetically stick it to my upright toolbox and just throw screws at it and they just stick.

Not full plate magnetic, only the actual magnetic part does the work...., February 3, 2012
By Slapshoot !!! Red Wing! (Staunton, VA USA)

I was expecting this plate is processed as a whole plate magnetic, since the price is not cheap, too....however, the plate is just a metal, with a medium piece of magnetic located in the bottom, which is the real thins that does the trick, not the whole plate.....
I felt not so worthy to pay for that price when the plate is not processed with magnetic (ex: the screw drivers that can stick the screws on it, that is what I say " magnetic processed"); just assamble 2 things together...I can make this myself with lower price...and biger working space
Well, overall speaking, this is still a very good item, but just not the way I expect.
