5.0 out of 5 stars.  Fox Helmet, an excellent option, June 26, 2011
By Leocha9981
As a biker, I have used many brands and many types of helmets, however, the Fox Striker helmet is the best one I have had.
I really recomment it to any one who like to practice ciclism and also be sure on the road.
Its confortable and adjustable manipulation is really usefull.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  It arrived after I left for a race!, September 11, 2011
By Monster Movie Matinee review (Blossburg USA)
Just got the FOX Striker Helmet yesterday, haven't rode with it yet but my first impression is very good. I chose the Charcoal color because Black was 20$ more, also the gray color will go with most of my other gear, which is mainly black, grayish or Army green. It looks pretty cool, maybe the coolest I've seen, and I've been shopping for the ultimate helmet for nearly a year now; had a Walmart Bell just to get me out there. POC Trabec, Fox Flux, Uvex, 661 Recon, Azonic and Kali were close contenders. I wanted a mountain bike helmet without looking like an alien, astronaut (like another reviewer said)or a ROADIE! Got the Fox helmet liner too for colder weather, the vents on this helmet are quite large. Like I said in the title, I arrived at my first mountain bike race and my daughter texted me that the helmet just got delivered; oh well, it just would have gotten very wet and muddy the first time out.
Sizing, my head diameter is 58cm or 22 3/4inches and I opted for the Lg/XLg, and it seems snug, in fact I had to make it larger right out of the box to put it on! Visually I would say my head is medium/large or average. On these points, I was very skeptical in choosing a size, I made out fine with the Lg/XLg. I just want to add that on the box the size LG/XLg is for 59cm and up. That's odd, cause it fits me and I had to open the adjustment quite a bit. You would've thought that a size rated for larger than I, I would have had to tighten it to the max. I just want to make it clear to be careful when selecting the size.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  FOX Striker Most Comfortable Helmet, February 7, 2012
By Pedro Garcia (Berkeley)
Tried 20 different helmets at a bike store and the FOX Striker top out all of them.
It was very comfortable, smooth, soft, warm and fit like a glove.
They didn't have the black one, so i order it from amazon.com.
I tried it when it arrive and felt the same way has the store.

The only problem i had, was with the visor not being held on properly.
Wish it came with a better visor and extra replacement visor.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great XC helmet, August 6, 2011
By J. Williams
This is the best helmet I've used thus far. It's very light, allows ample air flow, is comfortable and looks cool too. Also you don't look like an astronaut with it on.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Super Ventilated, May 21, 2012
By Casey Parker (San Diego, CA)
Awesome helmet, keeps one's head cool.

Con:

Little tight on the horns on your forehead if you have a normal shaped, sort of elongated head. Definitely built for a more round head because it's a bit wide looking on the skull as well. That's the only reason it gets 4 stars.

Pros:

much more lightweight than an entry-level helmet.
perfect ventilation for hot summer riding
visor doesn't pop off due to its permanent attachment
will keep you from dying on a trail miles from help...

Also, the vent holes work perfecct for attaching a lightweight tactical light with a velcro strap or two for your rides at night.

Due to its shape I would give it a 3 1/2 if Amazon would let me.

Don't buy JUST 'cause its Fox, there are other lighter helmets.

BUT it will save your life...haha..so...
