I live in the Marshall Islands where the salt air disintegrates metal in a matter of months. I have two sets of these fenders and am fully satisfied with the plastic fender material and stainless steel support rods. They are fully adjustable and have fit on both our Sun and Schwinn cruisers. Great solution if you're looking for a rust resistant fender. Well worth the cost.
