This one star is: I hate it.
This is a Houston Texas import company distributing from Scottsdale AZ throughout the US and operates as electricwheelstore.com

Their site and their customer service say:
1- 100% satisfaction guaranteed
2- 8-2011: Scott Maulden at their customer service phone line said that they check all bicycles personally to make sure they work before shipping and that they don't send defective bikes; further that he said that if there is a defective product, they would work with you to get it fixed or to replace it.
3- We purchased 2 electric bikes in August 2011 and found there were misaligned welds and other defective parts. We took pictures and emailed them to Electric Wheels. The pictures showed that the first bike's brakes appeared to be mismounted and there were parts missing or shipped bent. The fork of the second bike had a misaligned weld and torqued fork arm--so much so that the wheel could never be mounted.
4- We called and spoke to Carlos at Electric Wheels (ewheels) immediately and he had us take bikes to bike shop. Electric Wheels, Carlos, said they would fix the bikes using their own credit card numbers.
5- We took the bikes to the bike shop but when called numerously from the bike shop, they would not return the calls. The bicycle repair person showed that there was no way to true the wheel on the first bike nor did he have parts to replace defective or missing pieces. The repair person said the replacement fork sent us by Carlos would not fit since the replacement stem was too big to fit the original recepticle. We had to pay $29 for the bike shops' time.
6- We emailed Electric Wheels several times and spoke at length to Scott the other customer service representatives but were told we had to speak with original service tech, Carlos.
7- We attempted to use Electric Wheels email service line but that part of their webpage did not work either.
8- We called again and again but were told again only to speak to our original rep Carlos. We emailed & got no response.
9- By late September 2011, when Electric Wheels did not respond to either phone or email requests, we contacted the credit card company to reverse the charges on the card.
10- December 31, 2011, a Mike Hines supervisor of EWheels collection department emailed us to call him at 732-584-0593 (their typing) to return the 2 electric bikes, and said he would issue a call tag and send us a FedEx return lables for both bikes to be returned at their cost and to call them about the return.
11- We called 732-584-0593 on 12-31-11 and 3 times afterwards to double check, but the number was disconnected.
12- We called Electric Wheels phone number on their website and were told we had to return the bikes using our own money since our credit card had been credited back. We informed Scott about Mike Hines email and Scott denied that Mike's email said what it did. Scott said his collection agency would be stepping in to go after us and that Mike Hines didn't work at Electric Wheels.
13- We searched for this phone number and found it registered to this Chinese importer site with a different area code: [...]

14- On 1-4-12 when there was no response to our emails back to Mike Hines, we called the new (832) area code and left a message for Mike Hines regarding the promised call tag and fedex label. No calls back nor reponses-yet.
15- Although we did good faith efforts, the company was dishonest about their policies and products.
They specialize in selling defective manufacutured electric bicycles and ignore their warranties and claims. They import from China to TX, sell from AZ all over the US. They give phone # for callbacks in emails but the #'s are immediately disconnected. Although we got credit card credited, we are told we have to pay for return shipping for unusable hunks of metal.

This folding bike works great, I commute to work from a parking lot 2 miles from my place of work.
I store the bike in my car trunk, it easily folds and it is very light.
I have no complaints about this bike. I suggest if you are interested in purchasing a electric folding bike this is the ticket.

I LIVE IN NEW YORK AND I USE MY FOLDING BIKE DAILY FOR RIDING TO THE SUBWAY AND ON TO THE OFFICE. I HAVE HAD MY EW-450 FOR 6 MONTHS AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE. I HAVE NEVER OWNED AN ELECTRIC BIKE BEFORE, THIS HAS BEEN A NICE EXPERIENCE. THE BIKE HAS BEEN VERY DEPENDABLE AND IT IS ACTUALLY VERY COMFORTABLE TO RIDE. I HAVE ALSO BEEN RIDING MY BIKE ON WEEKENDS FOR RECREATION. I HAVE SHARED MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BIKE WITH SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS, MY NEIGHBOR JUST PURCHASED THE SAME BIKE AND IS VERY PLEASE WITH THE BIKE. THUMBS UP EWHEELS!

Purchased this folding bike about 8 months ago from EWheels. Really great bike. I take it with me when I go on long trips. Fits right in my trunk. I love it. Can't say enough great things about this bike.
Would recommend to anyone looking for an electric bike that is easily transported.

Love this bike. We can take it anywhere and it folds up so easily. We ordered one now getting ready to order the second. We had some questions at first but the service dept. at EWheels helped us out quickly.

WE OWN 2 BIKES AND WE TRAVEL IN A RV ALL OVER THE WEST, WE USE THE BIKES TO TRAVEL INTO TOWN AND FOR VISITING OUR FRIENDS IN THE PARKS. THE BIKES ARE VERY LGHT AND WE HAVE NO NO PROBLEM CARRYING THEM AND FOLDING THEM FOR STORAGE. THE BATTERY HAS PLENTY OF POWER AND PROVIDES DEPENDABLE TRANSPORTATION FOR BOTH OF US. IN THE PAST WE HAVE TRAVELED WITH HEAVY MANUAL PEDAL BIKES, OUR NEW FOLDING ELECTRIC BIKES ARE WONDERFUL.
