Fabulous for plus size gals!, August 4, 2011

This is 1 of 3 pairs of biking knickers I have purchased, and has quickly become my favorite! Let's start with the fact that I am both plus sized (22-24) AND tall (6'0"), so I have a really hard time finding clothing that fits well. These knickers fit well in every aspect. I don't feel like the waist is going to roll, I have adequate coverage onto my back, the little grippers on the leg openings keep them from sliding up, and the chamois is the most comfortable of any of my knickers. I also have the Pearl Izumi Superstar Knickers and have problems with rolling, inadequate back coverage, and the legs sliding up. Definitely go with these!
The ONLY complaint I have about them, and it is very minor, but still... is that the elastic in the waistband is very thin and twists very easily. I always have to take a moment after I put them on to get it to lay flat again. I hope in future iterations that Pearl Izumi will simply use wider elastic.

Pearl Izumi Women's Sugar Knickers, July 26, 2011

These fit a little big. Fabric and padding are comfortable. Don't like how perspiration shows on the outside of the pants at the crotch. Looks like I wet my pants. Not good. Wouldn't buy them again. Price was right.

Pearl Izumi Women's Knicker, Black/Pink Punch, February 17, 2012

I purchased these knickers after cycling with no "protection"- big mistake. I was advised to look into different saddles, and I have, but still haven't found the right one. In the mean time, I chose to get some cycling shorts/knickers that way I can use any saddle/bike with minimal discomfort. I was right- I LOVE these knickers! They give me the protection I need and are fashionable for being cycling-wear. They stay put during the ride and don't bunch or ride up, and the waist doesn't roll or flip down. They are comfortable and easy to care for.
I chose the knickers versus the shorts because I definitely like the added coverage. It has been a little cold these past few weeks and I haven't really felt it thanks to these knickers. I think that once it warms up, they will still allow for enough air to pass through to feel comfortable and not too hot.

Slightly baggy fabric, April 19, 2012
By Huffy

Comfortable chamois, although a touch big in the bottom when standing and walking, but comfortable on the bike. The fabric isn't as stretchy as regular Lycra shorts, it's a different blend of material. Feels slightly baggy on, but the sizing is correct. But they look ok, and they were at a cheap price, so I guess you get what you pay for. Most importantly they are comfortable when riding, but not the best shorts I've had.

Saved my butt in spin class!, March 25, 2012

These were just what I was looking for to help with the soreness I was experiencing from spin class. The padding is perfect. I love the Capri length, which is harder to find. They run true to size. I have been wearing them 3 times a week and machine washing them and hanging to dry and they have held up great. Best price on Amazon too.

Great Spin Class Pants, October 10, 2011
By Sabina

I bought these pants to wear to spin class. They're great. They fit true to size, the moisture component keeps me cool in class and doesn't make me smelly and avoids sliding on the seat. It took a bit to get used to the padding but it definitely helps alleviate the strain after an hour on the bike. The little glue ball things on the inside of the pant hems keeps them from riding up and keeps them in place. Plus the calf length is such a great difference from the 80's style biker shorts. The last (and probably most important part) is that they have a high back. This means that while you're bent over your bike & your top rides up, your back is still covered!

Super cute and comfy!, May 12, 2011

I ordered these a few days b4 a mountain biking trip to Sedona...They are VERY flattering and comfortable. The only problem I see is the fabric is a wee bit thin...You can almost see skin through them. I do think they are great for summer riding and are true to size! I would buy them again!

The Pearl Izumi Women's Sugar Knicker fit true to size and comfortable. Bought these for spin class and the padding definitely provides welcoming protection from an hour on a bike :)

Could be better, December 13, 2011

I bought a pair of these PI Sugar Knickers after reading how great they are in other reviews. I don't think they are so great and I will not buy any more like this. There is no compression quality to them and the chamois is not as comfortable as the PI shorts I have and the fit is, for lack of a better term, different. Maybe they run a little big? and I should have ordered an extra small instead of the small I bought. They do not seem to fit like the PI shorts I have do. I'm 5'7", 122 pounds and the size small shorts fit perfect.
On the plus side they were great for riding in the 50* weather I rode in and stayed in place like they should have and didn't ride up.

Very happy with this purchase, February 8, 2012

Just starting cycling and these 3/4 length pants were a good buy. The padding makes it more comfortable and the higher waist at the back is great to ensure underwear isn't revealed. The fabric is soft and nice quality and the fit is accurate. In short, I enjoy wearing these pants.
