3.0 out of 5 stars.  Love(d) these gloves (UPDATED), June 23, 2011
By Tiffany Whitten (dayton, ohio)
I didn't want to get gloves. I didn't think I needed them. My husband convinced me to buy them and I will finally admit... I hate riding without them. I went on a 30 miles ride the other night and forgot them and whined the whole time.
They fit comfortably, cousin my hands from being able to feel my cables under my bar wrap and keep my hands from getting sweaty.

I love the ring finger loop for easy removal. Also, I've fallen once since I purchased these and it sure was nice to not have my hands scraped all the hell and back!!

The only thing I don't like is that I purchased the small gloves, but after a bit of wear, they seem a tad loose around the wrists. I wish the velcro extended further onto the wrist area of the glove so that I could make them tighter. It's only a small annoyance, but it's the only complaint I have about them.

****AUGUST 3, 2011****UPDATED****
I'm going to take a moment to edit this review. I've owned these gloves for a few months now and I'm not as happy with them! They've stretched out a bit and don't fit as snugly as they once did. The velcro issue previously mentioned has become more of an issue...
The other day when I pulled them off, some of the rubberized elastic- type material actually was falling out of the gloves! Not impressed.

Love the gloves. I am using them for kayaking. The pads on the palms help greatly. Made well and fit well.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bike gloves, June 26, 2011
By AnaB
I used the sizing chart provided and the gloves fit great when they arrived. I have used them on two long bike rides so far and couldn't be happier. Very comfortable - I forget I'm even wearing them. Clean and hold up very well in washing machine.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Love the Pearl Izumi Women's Select, May 21, 2011

I received the gloves pretty quickly. I love the color of the pink and the design. I used them for the first time on a 20 mile ride. They were very comfortable. I was happy with this purchase and the service from the vendor company.

I love the gloves. Without them the web of skin between my thumb and index fingers get sore from holding onto the handlebars.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice gloves, April 26, 2011
By Houston_Guy
I got these gloves for my wife and she likes anything pink :) She was very happy with the gloves and has used them for about 2 weeks now with no issue. She's also washed them since and they came out just fine. We're both happy with the purchase.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Ouch! These gloves run small!, October 5, 2011
By rocker outter (Chicago, IL)
This is my first pair of cycling gloves. I wear size small to medium in women's winter gloves. My motorcycle gloves are a women's medium. I got this pair in medium. They are easy to get on, but are painfully tight (around the fingers especially. Movement is restricted. I'll be exchanging for a large. I'll go ahead and review them based on having tried them on until I receive the proper size and take them for a spin. :p

Cons
-The fabric around the fingers is kinda scratchy
-The fingers are a bit long, restricting separation
-The tag inside the glove is itchy
-The easy removal tab should go on the middle finger as opposed to the ring finger

Pros
-The colors offered and reflective stitching should work well for visibilty
-The sporty/girly mix of styles
-The gel padding is soft and thick
-The ventilation holes

1.0 out of 5 stars.  cute, but poor quality, September 21, 2011
By joesgirl (Atlanta, GA)
The finger seams started unraveling at the start of my first ride. I have long thin hands and the woman's large size glove cut off circulation around the crotch of my fingers. I have three other riding gloves and haven't had this happen before. So sad cause they are cute.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Love these gloves!, July 16, 2011
By Magsimama (SoCal)
With their leather palms and gel pads, the gloves do their job in prevent chaffing and cushioning my hands against the handlebars . I gave them only four stars though b/c they run small, at least for me. I wear a small in other gloves, and I've had no probs with them. These are a bit snug, so when I take them off, I have to peel them off...and, they end up inside out...which require nimble fingers each and every time to sort out those pesky inside out finger-sleeves...Otherwise, I have absolutely no other complaints. The blue is both cute and sporty, and the velcro closures ensure that the tops don't flap in the wind. The price isn't bad either. I would definitely recommend them!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Awesome :), July 14, 2011
By lovetomove
These gloves came in the mail like 2-3 days after i ordered them. I ordered the blue ones and they're gorgeous! They fit snugly like they should but not too snug to where your hands are suffocated. I'm a 5'4" and weigh about 120 pounds so im kind of petite and the small fits perfectly!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  nice biking gloves, work fine, September 11, 2011
By Walter E. Gillett
Got them for my wife, she's happy. Tight at first but they've loosened up a little. Acid test is her hands are no longer numb at the end of a ride.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Better than nothing! Not built for petite women, September 8, 2011
By Jefner
If I'd followed the fit guide they would have been a mess. Good thing I've lived with my petite self for so long I knew the larger size wouldn't work for me because I've got short hands. The smaller size is a bit snug, but not too tight. The length of palm from bottom of fingers to wrist is too long for me. They will be too long for any true petite leading to extra bunching in palm and thumb crease area. If you've got "normal" length fingers/hands they'll probably be fine.

The seam on the palm between the forefinger and thumb is fine on the left hand, but stiff, sharp and uncomfortable on the right hand. The padding doesn't seem like much, and there is still discomfort while riding, but post ride there is significantly less lingering discomfort than wearing none. The padding is in a great place to protect the meaty part of the lower palm. It seemed the middle of the palm didn't have much.

There are two very large tags in one glove, but I make sure they are folded up to the upper part of the hand vs. the palm and they haven't bothered me. The grey color is nice and the white parts help for hand signal visibility. They were the best out of the 10 I tried on in a store, but there's room for improvement.

Still surprised that companies don't make goods in petite and tall versions of things. All the rest of the clothing fashion community can manage it, why not cycling?

Overall they're pretty good. If they were destroyed I'd get a pair again until I figure out that magical illusive well-fitting, perfectly padded pair.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  They're ok..., September 6, 2011
By J. Disser (San Diego, CA)
I use these for mountain biking. I bought them to fit snugly, but not tight. I find that the material inside my thumb rolls down and rubs on my thumb. They didn't make the thumb long enough in the glove. They do hold up well in the washing machine - a definite plus. I would like for there to be more absorbent material on the back of the hand to enable me to wipe sweat away. The material on there works ok, but is not terrific. I also wish there was more padding in the palm.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  looks and feels good!, August 3, 2011
By Amazon-aholic (PA USA)
Bought these gloves because my fingers/palms start to go numb when bike riding...love the look and feel of the gloves, left pinky only went slightly numb which is much better than before I wore gloves...only worry is that my wedding ring will tear the fabric so I turned it towards the side but then it was hitting my pinky...for the ride back I just took my ring off.

A little hard to get off for me even with the 'easy off' tab on the ring finger but I expected that since it's not a full pair of gloves.

Definitely plan to continue wearing them when I ride bike...better than numb fingers/hands with sharp tingling shooting up your palm!

2.0 out of 5 stars.  cause more blisters than prevents, December 12, 2011

I used these for about 2 months and ride 20-50 miles 4 days a week. Not comfortable and seams as well as fit are a problem in the thumb area especially.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  cut small, December 7, 2011

Pearl Izumi is usually true to size but these are slightly on the smaller size. My wife loved the design but thought the quality was poor compared to pair she ownes by Specialized.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  The gel padding is a little too thin, November 21, 2011
By Nic
The design is great, but I feel that the gel padding is little bit too thin as compared to my Trek gloves which I have had for more than 7 yrs. Other than that its quite cool wearing it. But not sure if I can withstand long distant ride with this gloves, haven't given it a test yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Terrific glove, November 9, 2011

I love this glove because it pads my small hands exactly at the pressure points where I need the padding. It is good-looking too.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice Summer GLove, October 30, 2011
By liseV
I purchased these gloves after the palms on my old ones basically disintegrated. I liked the design on the gloves and they have just enough padding and in the right places. Initially they were a bit tight but after a few wears loosened up a bit. So far so good.

Gloves are comfortable and look cute. My hands feel secure on the grips and don't slip from sweat. Good quality and the price was right. I bought a 2nd pair so I can wear one and wash the other.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  disappointed, August 6, 2011
By drakegirl
I ordered this pair to replace a pair of pearl izumi select gloves. When I received them, I was disappointed in the minimal amount of padding. Sizing was as expected and I liked the material used for the top of the hand as it seemed very light weight.
I ended up returning this pair as they had an odor and a oil stain from the shipping and/or handling. Disappointed in my experience this time, but have been happy with pearl izumi in the past. Because I needed the gloves for an upcoming ride, I ended up making my purchase at a store and went with another brand.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Liked gloves but defective stitching, July 23, 2011
By Nancy J. Winnon (Bastrop, La USA)
I bought 2 pair of these gloves in different colors. This pair had defective stitching around the palm which caused one glove to start to fall apart after only 2 wearings. The company took the gloves back but I had to pay for shipping the gloves back then more shipping to get the replacement gloves. Therefore, I opted not to pay the shipping and asked for a refund. If the company had paid the shipping, I would have been pleased with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  gym gloves, July 15, 2011

I use these fingerless gloves over a wrist support for spin and pump classes. They stretch over the wrist splint without problem and are a great help lifting

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good gloves but not much padding., April 5, 2012
By HeatherJ
Gloves are true to size and well made. The grippy stuff on the palms is well done. Only disappointment of these for me is that there really isn't very much padding in them.
If you're someone that prefers gloves with a little thinner padding, these are for you! They're very comfortable, I just need more padding.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  True to size, April 5, 2012
By SNHansen
These gloves definitely fit true to the size chart. Some people in the reviews say they fit tight, but they are supposed to fit that way to an extent so that the gel comfort spots on the gloves sit and stay on your hands in the right area. The stretchy part on the ring finger makes them easy to take off. They are very breathable. I rode in 92 degree weather and my hands didn't get hot. My only complaint is that I wish there was a bit more gel support for my hands because they get sore easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Just what I was looking for..., May 25, 2012

I needed new riding gloves that had less padding in the palm. These fit the bill. The fit is nice and snug.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Okay but not Okay.....-, May 24, 2012
By The One
I bought these gloves because I was getting sores on my hands from riding and I thought these would be great because they have gel padding and I thought, what's better than that!!? So when they arrived my first thought was that they are VERY nice looking, but then my second thought was, WHERE THE HELL IS THE GEL PADDING??! There is barely a millimeter of gel in these gloves. I am very disappointed with these, for the price I payed, these are NOT even worth $5 let alone $24. Anyway, I am too lazy to return them so I used them while I waited for a diff. pair of gloves to come in the mail and on the 2nd day of use, the tiny tiny tiny tiny tab they put on the glove for "easy removal" broke!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  cycling gloves, May 22, 2012

I first bought the wrong size gloves so make sure to properly size your hands. But once I got the right size they fit great and are doing a great job.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Glorious Gloves!, May 20, 2012
By Kim (North Carolina)
I absolutely love the snug fit, the cool, airy fabric, and gorgeous design of these gloves. I chose the white ones. I feel spoiled when I put these on because they are so beautiful. I purchased them mostly for sun protection on my hands while riding my bike to work. The light padding on the palm is great for me (I've read some complaints about the padding being too thin) but I ride a cruiser style bike on mostly smooth pavement. Being in a more upright position, I don't have a lot of weight on my hands while riding.

These gloves improve my grip and noticeably help wick away sweat from my hands.

I read they work well for kayaking. Double duty = win. We kayak out to Bear Island of North Carolina every year and I will never make that journey again without gloves!
