5.0 out of 5 stars.  Virtually pointless, but looks cool, June 4, 2009
By CKingBackRoadMaven (New York, NY)
This product is virtually pointless, but I found that the Blackburn Camber CF Carbon Fiber Cage is the least-expensive of a line of OVER priced carbon fiber bottle cages. If you are going to make this silly purchase like I did, buy this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good deal for a carbon cage, and durable to boot!, December 7, 2009
By Matt (TN, USA)
A carbon cage is a little absurd when you think about it. Aluminum cages are light and durable and you can usually find them for less than $10. There are 4 reasons to get a carbon cage:
- To shave a few grams off of the weight of your bike when replacing an aluminum cage
- To complement your other carbon components
- It's the only carbon accessory that you can afford right now
- It's carbon and therefore it's better

Bottles fit snugly in this cage and this is by far the best value that I have seen for a carbon one. The matte finish is nice and will complement a bike with a matte finish.

Update (2010/09/14): I've had two of these cages for almost a year now. Like most cages (even aluminum ones), they loosened up a little, but bottles still fit snugly. They will probably last for years.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Blackburn Camber CF Water Bottle Cage, March 29, 2010
By dzak (Florida, USA)
A great cage so far! I was always wary of buying a carbon fiber cage. Most of them look flimsy and I'm not sure of how well they would keep a bottle after hitting a big pothole, especially the seat tube setup. The ones that do claim to hold the bottles extra secure look like they are near impossible to reinsert the bottle easily on the fly, especially during a race when you have to be quick about it. This one, I'm happy to report, has proved to be not only classy looking, but very secure holding the bottle and a breeze to reinsert bottles into while on the bike. I really love the extra beefy bottom tab to hold the bottle. No little single tab here, but a nice, sturdy arcing tab. Blackburn has always been a name I can trust.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Useless, Overpriced but Sexy, October 15, 2009
By S. Payne (Bentonville, AR United States)
I'm not one to normally spend money on form over function but for some reason I've wanted a carbon fiber bottle cage since I got the CF bike 2 years ago. I've had excellent experiences with Blackburn in the past, both with the products and their customer service so they got the nod...and they were one of the cheapest CF name brand cages out there. If you are going to spend money on bling you don't want it stamped Nashbar. The cage is well constructed, the bottle fits very well but still it isn't difficult to remove and replace in the cage. Maybe not money well spent but well enjoyed.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Expensive but superb bling, April 21, 2009
By Kevmo (Salt Lake City, UT)
These are very lightweight, look cool, and hold the bottle well. It is easy to put bottle in and pull out. I would prefer that the Blackburn logo was smaller but a minor quibble. Definitely expensive for minimal weight savings but for a high end road bike sometimes we make irrational purchases.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great fit to water bottles, April 11, 2011
By mc0197
I use the 24 oz. polar insulated bottles with these cages and I was very happy to see that they fit really snug. I haven't lost a bottle yet and I just completed Battenkill - a tough course full of gravel and potholes. Great cages.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Bottle Cage, February 5, 2011
By ctsracer
I looked at all the carbon fiber bottle cages available over a year ago and other than the cheap "chinese" cages, this Blackburn cage was the most affordable (25%-50% cheaper). I've been using these bottle cagess on both road bike for over a year now with temperatures between 15F and 100F without any issues. They are strong and keep the 24oz water bottles firmly in place regardless of road conditions. My other teammates were impressed and purchased these cages when they saw mine and also did not experience any issues. They are nice looking, sturdy and less expensive than many of their competitors' products. Great product, would highly recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice cage but too loose, January 4, 2011
By Camera
Just put these cages on a new bike, yes they are expensive but they do look slick. My biggest complaint is that they do not seem to grip the water bottle tight enough. I feel that in rough sections of pavement during road races, a big 28 oz full bottle will fly right out of the cage. There seems to be little resistance to removing it besides the weight of the bottle. For some road races where the pavement is not the smoothese I will probably have to remove these cages and put something else on.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nicely priced carbon cage, March 3, 2010
By Beth Kenney
First you have to get over the fact that you will pay more than $10 for a water bottle cage if you go with carbon. This lightweight cage holds all my water bottles snugly and yet releases easily - important considerations for racing.
So far the airlines haven't broken it when I've flown with my bike, so I am getting my money's worth.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Light, Sleek & Strong, August 5, 2011
By C Collins
Absolutely impressive water bottle cages that are very light and strong. It has a very sleek matted white look. I carry 2 full 24oz bottles on my long Sunday group rides in these cages.

The price for the weight is worth it. Great buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best of the carbon cages, October 6, 2010
By Chad (Phoenix, AZ)
I bought two of these to replace Performance carbon cages that had the bottom stop tab break off. I wanted light yet sturdy. I wanted a cage that would hold any shape of bottle snugly. I wanted Carbon. I got all that at a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent bottle cage, April 18, 2010
By Amazon User (Columbus, OH United States)
I have tried other CF bottle cages and was disappointed. These are so much better! They are attractive, strong and hold my Polar bottles very well. I highly recommend these if you want the bling of carbon fiber bottle cages.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Product for the price, December 27, 2011
By Starbucks Drunk (California)
The product is exactly as described. For the price you can't beat it. I saved money with this product. Don't spend $100's of dollars, unless you really need something that weighs 1oz. You can't go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Awesome product!, February 19, 2012
By jdm5lughatch
Love it and it's held up great over the past 4 years. And it looks great to boot. If you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing product you can't go wrong with it. It won't hold much more than a standard water bottle though which is usually all I need on a ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Bottle Cage - Thoughtfully engineered, October 22, 2011
By EBC
This is one of the few carbon fiber bottle cages that have the attachment points on a different plane than the backbone of the cage. The mounting holes are recessed relative to the backbone of the cage. On very small or compact frames, this allows the cage to be mounted over a front derailleur clamp on the seat tube of the frame without pressing against the derailleur clamp or bending the backbone of the bottle cage. This is a very thoughtfully engineered design. The cage is also sturdy and holds a bottle very securely. Expensive, but worth the price just because of the thoughtful engineering.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Blackburn Camber CF, October 8, 2011

This is a fantastic bottle cage. It's light, strong, and it looks great. I've never had any problems getting the bottle in or out. I use a camelbak podium and the two work great together.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Loosey goosey, August 11, 2011
By Midwesterner
I bought these cages because of good luck with other carbon cages and the color red matches the colors on my Giant Defy. However, after weeks of experiencing a horribly annoying rattle on rough chip and seal roads, I finally discovered it's the cages and bottles making the noise. So, I either have to ditch my favorite Camelbak Chill 25 ouncers or get new bottle cages. I'm disappointed because others seem to have good luck with these cages--and they are pretty.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Blackburn Camber CF Bottle Cage, August 5, 2011
By skooba
Very sturdy and lightweight. Installation was very simple and took no time at all. The price was also a selling point for me. I'm in Japan and plastic bottle cages cost almost as much as I paid for the carbon fiber cage. Shipping was also fast.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  It weighs Nothing, June 26, 2011

The only issue I have with this is that it is a little bulky looking. Other than that it is okay.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  light, holds water bottle quite firmly, February 17, 2011
By Roy Gordon (Berkeley, CA USA)
It is very light and holds the water bottle quite firmly. It has not loosened its grip at all in the six months I've had it. Actually, I wish it would just a bit.

Purchased a 2nd one about a month ago for the seat tube.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Expensive, but well worth it, February 12, 2011
By Valdemar (Los Angeles, CA)
I think it is a fantastic product if you can convince yourself that spending 40 bucks on a bottle cage is not insane. Provides very secure fit for my 24oz Polar insulated bottle, and at the same time easy in/out while riding. Got a matte black finish to match my frame and it looks great.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Cool, May 8, 2012
By Jim
I bought this because I like the color red, and carbon fiber. It is red and carbon fiber. Super light. Don't even have a light bike so it doesn't matter. Only bought it for the looks and to feel better about myself. Mission accomplished
Also my bottle fits perfect and tight in it.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Cage!, April 30, 2012
By Jason Silver (Chester, NY)
I just received my second Camber CF after being impressed with my initial purchase. I wanted to try this cage out before mounting two on my bike, which I now do. They are light with many colors to choose from, at a good price point, and this cage functions flawlessly. It is firm enought to keep my camelback chills in place and easy enough to release them when needed.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Worth it, April 29, 2012
By Lou McErlean
I must admit that this was (initially) a vanity purchase in that I bought a new Specialized carbon fiber bike and was looking to accessorize with cool-looking gear. The bike is gloss black with red accents, so I thought the red color of the Blackburn Camber CF Bottle Cage would be a nice complement.

The other reviews I read gave me confidence that it was not mistake to spend the extra money, and they were right. The cage is feather-light but like other carbon fiber items, it's very strong. My Camelback "Big Chill" bottle fits perfectly and securely in the cage. It's easy to take it out and put it back without breaking stride.

And of course, it looks really slick!

Now that I've tried it out and am happy with it, I'll buy a second one.
