5.0 out of 5 stars.  Sweet cassette at bargain price, October 8, 2010
By Ben Abney
I put this on a bike that I built to ride steep grades at my place in the mountains (18% and higher). The Dura Ace 7900 cassette costs 3 times as much. Yes, it's a little lighter, but not that much. I have the 7900 on my newer bike and can't tell the difference. Both the SRAM and the Shimano cassette perform flawlessly.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great cassette, November 5, 2011
By Rod Tunnels
I moved from a SRAM 11-24 to this 11-28. The swap was easy and fast - and made a big difference in my ability to climb the foothills around Denver. If you're a strong rider, you may not need the extra help - but I did (do). I put a new chain on at the same time - and everything shifts quick and quiet. I highly recommend this product if you ride a lot of hills and need a little extra help getting up and over.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excelente Cassette!!!, August 16, 2011
By HAGC TD42

5.0 out of 5 stars.  RIDE ROADS & TRAILS, June 26, 2011
By STEPHEN B
JUST CAMEBACK TO BICYCLING after 20 years & a triple bypass operation & was fortunate enough to be offered a top of the line cross bike at half price. A quick & light ride, but, limited in some ways (transmission & tires) so have been modifying & riding for a year now, with the Apex system at the core. This is a great multi use (road & trail) cassette SRAM APEX Cassette PG -1050 (10-Speed) when in combination with a 34/50 chain-wheel SRAM Apex Crank Set w/GXP Cups 68 Compact & the right tires (I have only the one bike that I use for almost everything, but have 3 wheel sets with road, cross, town & one trainer tire(s)) I can choose where & how I want a day's ride to go. I installed crank, cassette & rear derailleur SRAM Apex Rear Derailleur myself with a minimum of hassle (key to this is right tools, patience, go on web for instructions & schematics, & ask any questions of your local friendly bike shop mechanic). After adjustments & final fine tuning it is a real pleasure to ride with smooth shifting & wide range. Much easier on the old legs than the 46/38 front & 12-26 rear that came with the bike, & I can get down the paved road or head across country on a dirt trail & up into the hilly country with more ease on longer rides. For the cost I don't know of a better system for the all around bike.
