Product Description:

If you are looking at value for money, the Pearl Izumi Select Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey gives you just about the best option available. Made from the Select Thermal Fleece, it gives you enough plush warmth to be worn alone on mildly chilly days, and is compact enough to be layered with a heavier jacket. The fabric works continually to keep you dry and warm by wicking your sweat away. It has a full length zipper so that you can completely ventilate your front. It also makes the jersey easier to remove if you have to trot into the cafAA during the middle of a ride to do a number two; no need to lift it over your head and risk dislodging all the gear in your carefully packed pockets. TheyAAAve given you three roomy rear pockets along with a hidden sweat proof pocket. That way you can keep all of your stuff safe, and wonAAAt have to worry about getting you iPod or cash soaked. With this jersey youAAAll also find specially shaped sleeve hems which are intended to fit your wrists perfectly, giving the upper part of your hands the extra fabric for protection, but reducing the amount of fabric on the underside of your wrist so that it will not bunch up at that important contact point with your handlebars. The Pearl Izumi Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey comes complete with multiple reflective elements to keep you visible in low lighting situations. It is available in Black/White, True Blue and True Red. It comes in Small through XX-Large.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  This Jersey is AMAZING !, June 7, 2011
By Prime Convert
I commuted to work on my bicycle until the exceptional snowbanks made the road too narrow to ride safetly after Christmas this past winter (2011). On the coldest day, 18 degrees F, I wore this jersey, a very thin shell, my ski helmet and gloves, and Pearl Izumi thermal tights. With this jersey, re-purposed ski gear, and my other Pearl Izumi gear, I did not stop riding because of the temperatures associated with a New England winter. I was amazed that I was able to ride my bicycle comfortably in the winter. Other than some novelty jerseys, All of my cycling gear is Pearl Izumi.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Thermal, November 5, 2011
By D. Sooley (Ramona, CA USA)
This thing has saved my life a few times already. I wear a body armour shirt under it and between the two they perfectly wick moisture and keep me toasty warm. The coldest I have ridden with it is around 45F.

The quality is excellent and the sleeves are extra long to come down and cover over gloves etc. The neck zips up high and tight and really keeps in the warmth.

I bought a large and it is a very snug fit for my frame.

One of the best investments I have made for my bike riding.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  functional but could be better, November 29, 2011
By jiyeon
It fits well in the chest area and the body length is right. It keeps me warm during 40 degree temp in combination with a base layer and wind blocker jacket. However, the sleeves are too wide. I could fit both arms in one sleeve. The sleeve length is also 3.5" too long. I am going to take it to a alteration place to get the sleeves narrowed and shortened.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Pearl Izumi select mens thermal jersey xl, December 29, 2011
By Gadgit Tech (PHX)
Normally I ware a size 42 or Xl size shirts with a waist size of 34. Decided to order Xl evenknow it is said that this manufacture runs small. So far I'm happy with the fit. Sleeves are able to overlap my gloves and the Jersey is comfortable as a second or third layer keeping me warm in the upper 30's but works well in the mid 40's as a second layer..

5.0 out of 5 stars.  my favorite jacket, February 14, 2012
By scorona
i deliver sandwiches on my bike for a part time job in college, and i have been wearing this jacket (the safety green) every time i'm on the road. the jersey pockets are extremely convenient. also its surprising warm. i wear spandex thermal base layer (north face) and this jacket and i'm comfortable to about 18 degrees. i wear it whenever i ride. just make sure you use a fender if you are in the snow, my jacket has road water all over the back. if you are in between sizes, i'm 5'10 170lbs, and am between medium and large, size up. medium was too small, large was perfectly snug.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Warm & comfortable, February 12, 2012
By foreignthinker (Aptos, CA)
Perfect for Northern California fall and winter riding. Just right under a light shell or more substantial rain gear in the morning, and warm enough on sun filled afternoons to serve as the only item. Lining is very soft even after a dozen washings. Ended up buying a total of three.

Well made and durable. Very comfortable and easy to take care of. The screaming yellow will make the user easy to see by those in motor vehicles.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  My first biking thermal, January 11, 2012
By Bluenycom (Racho Cucamonga, CA)
I really don't have any reference to compare to since this is my first and only biking thermal. I have been only riding with temp down to the upper 40's and 50's. It's fine with that kind of weather. It's a bit cold at the beginning before I warm up, but perfect after that. It certainly didn't feel hot in the temperature range above during hard climb. I like the design and color. I am 5'9" and 150 pounds. Medium was perfect size for me.

I wear this over a Helly Hansen turtle and under a Pearl windbreaker.
Works great in the 35 - 45 degree weather I've used it in.
Warm and comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Warm Jersey, January 2, 2012
By 50PLUS
I use this jersey as an extra layer when needed during cooler temps. The Jersey is well made from nice weight material, fits and feels good. The white color with the black trim looks good and shows well during evening riding.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Thermal Jersey, November 25, 2011
By H. Yang (FV, CA USA)
Picked these up for evening riding along the river bed trail all the way down to the beach and back. Temperature can reach mid 40 F. These thermal jersey along with a pair of knee warmers are just want I needed to keep warm.

You can not go wrong with Pearl Izumi.

Happy Riding !!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Izumi for the win!, November 14, 2011
By E. Young
Another great jersey from Pearl Izumi. I seem to be almost completely decked out from head to toe with their gear now. I just love it and I am very satisfied customer. I wore it on a 40 mile ride in 60 degree weather and felt perfect. If it were colder I might need an under or over layer. It was a bit chilly in the elbows.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very good water resistance, April 16, 2012
By mgonzales (Oregon Coast)
It rains...a lot, here on the Oregon coast. So my cycling gear needs to keep me warm and dry. This jersey isn't truly waterproof like a rain jacket, but it can handle spring showers pretty well. Nice and warm, with extra long sleeves, it keeps you toasty. Be aware, sizes run kinda small. I have the large but the next one that I order will be a XL.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Jersey, April 6, 2012
By Mike Wolford (Bloomington, IL United States)
I'm 5'11.5", 190lbs, athletic build and a Large fits me very well. I've worn it with just a base-layer in the upper 20's with 10-15 mph wind and have been fine on training rides (3 hours, 20mph+ avg). For what I'm doing, I wouldn't wear this jersey when it's above 45-50 degrees, depending on the wind. This jersey would be 5+ stars if it had a wind proof layer on the torso.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Comfortable, warm, and visible, March 12, 2012
By Mark Waite (Loveland, CO USA)
I purchased this jersey to replace an earlier Pearl Izumi winter jersey that was a little rough and scratchy to wear. This jersey is soft, comfortable, and and has kept me very warm riding between work and home in northern Colorado. It washes well, wears comfortably, and the full length zipper is much better than the partial length zipper on the older winter jersey I was using previously.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for those cold morning rides, February 24, 2012
By X (Denver, CO)
Got this jersey so I could get back on my bike in the winter months. So far, it's great. I've mostly used it on early morning rides when the temp is in the 30s, and it keeps me plenty warm. I find it a little too heavy when the temps get into the mid 40s, but that may just be me. It wicks well, and in combination with the Pearl Izumi Men's Elite Barrier Jacket I stay nice and comfortable. It's a thermal jersey, and it does what it's supposed to. Probably not good for sub 20 degree rides, but you're not going to get anything that is for this price.
