Worthless, December 23, 2010

No quality control here!
Perfect as a toy for kids up to 9 for their schoolbooks if they use as a trolley and never on a bike! (it may last a few weeks longer!))
Everything shatters from road vibrations and there are is no place to get parts replacement.
Total junk and the company has yet to respond to the quality of the garbage I was sent (3 units all defective)
Milk crate and bungee cords from now on!
Extremely disappointed!

Perfect for going to the farmer's market, December 19, 2010
By Sarah (Washington, DC)

So far this has worked PERFECTLY for me. I go to the farmer's market, pop this basket off, wheel it around and fill it up with delicious foods. Then strap the bungee net on top (you probably do want that to go with this!), and head home. It does feel kind of flimsy, and it rattles a ton. But so far, so good!

Worth the money!, July 10, 2011
By OregonBay (Oregon, USA)

To start off with, you need to know that this basket is designed to work with TOPEAKs' brand of bike racks. Like anything else for bikes it's pretty much universal, so you could use it on another bike rack, but it's made for their own specially designed version to work best. If you don't have a rack yet, the TOPEAK Explorer MTX Rack is a good choice to go along with this basket.
The folding basket has a ramp that slides into a channel on the bike rack and locks into place with a quick locking system. It's a pretty slick system, and makes for an exact fit, placement, and it's super fast to attach/detach. There are NO worries about the basket or other accessories sliding around with this system.
Overall the basket seems to be pretty durable for a lightweight basket, and the fact that it conveniently folds down for travel and storage when not in use is an extremely nice feature not found in other baskets. You need to know that this basket is designed to carry items up to 19.8 pounds, I suspect if you overload it like you would a milk crate that it would not hold up very long.
The handle/rolling feature is also very nice, and not found in other baskets.
I'll just do a brief overview of PROs and CONs for review:
PROs
Attaching system/Locking system
Folds for travel/storage
Lightweight
Durable
Rolling system
CONs
May not hold up to heavy usage over a long period of time
Rattles during travel (not a big issue for me)
Only comes in the grey color
Overall - This is an awesome product, the only real complaint for me (and minor at that) is that it doesn't come in Black, which I think would look a lot better on my bike. But it does look good on my bike since it is grey anyway, so I'm probably just nit-picking here. This is a great basket for light shopping or carrying any items around 20 pounds.

Well constructed, works great!, October 23, 2010

This product does exactly what it says it will do. I use it to go grocery shopping. It slides on and off the Topeak bike rack beautifully. I have to be a little careful not to overload it, as it makes my bike seem a little harder to balance, but that's not the fault of the product. I would recommend this product.

The family that rides together, November 29, 2010

This is a fantastic bike basket for carrying around relatively larger loads. I purchased this bike basket for my wife, who neeeded something more than the wire mesh 'shopping basket' I have for my own bike. The folding/unfolding procedure only took a few minutes to master and now my wife uses it for carrying materials for Girl Scout meetings, swim gear, work materials, etc. and can wheel it around when she's off her bike.
Since we went with the Topeak system, we now have the added benefit of choosing which basket we want to use, or just the spring-loaded bike-rack they integrate with. HIGHLY recommended.

So convenient, June 20, 2011
By MagEbeth

I absolutely love this basket. It's so convenient for the grocery store. It does rattle if it's empty, but it's not really wise to keep it on your bike if you're not using it - anything will break with constant impact. Once it's full, it doesn't rattle much at all.

Clever product, March 19, 2011

This basket is such a great concept. It does exactly what they say - snaps on a Topeak rack, can travel flat or opened, and rolls around on built in wheels with a long handle. It solves every problem with rear baskets except for keeping stuff from sliding around. You'll probably want to get a bungee net to go along with it.
That being said, I find myself wanting a bag more often than a basket. The bag is better for carrying just a few items and the Topeak MTX bags can expand to hold a ton. If I was only going to have one it would be a bag. But nothing beats the convenience of this for the market.
One thing to note is the basket is pretty heavy. I'm just an around town biker and I don't fret over weight but even I notice the added load when empty. It's not a deal breaker by any means but 4 pounds is the difference between a cheap bike and an expensive bike so it's not an insignificant factor.
I sound too negative. It really is a perfect product for what it claims to be.

Great...but, September 12, 2011
By Chris.reads

I put this on my bike less than 24 hours ago and I've already had a complete stranger ask me where I got it. I'm trying to use my bike more for the little errands around town--better for me and the environment. And I needed something to carry a package or two or three. This fit the bill just fine. I like the wheels so I can shop with it in the store--that keeps me from buying more than it can hold and saves on bags. Unlike some other reviewers, I did not experience any rattling--it rides nice and solid--but I did put on the extra top bar supports and secured the yellow side locks which made it feel very stable. But I have not ridden with it folded up so maybe that's when the rattling occurs. Where I have a problem is sliding it off and on. It is very tight. At first I thought it was just a sticking issue so I sprayed it with silicon. That made it worse! So now I'm trying to sand down some of the plastic burrs in hopes that will solve the problem. Other than that I love the tote!

Great Basket, November 10, 2010

I was originally using a milk crate on the back of my bike, until I saw the utility of this folding basket. It is well made and has a great design with a place for everything. I use it when I pick up groceries after work. The fact that it will fold compact is great for storage in your house and on your bike.

Nice product, June 24, 2011
By Bayle (Los Angeles)

I bought this along with the Topeak rack. I use it for local shopping. It is great and really holds a lot of items. It is a little sticky to slide onto the bike rail and the handle is a little floppy, but for what it is used for it works great for me. I would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have to fight a little with it to slide it off and on. The company should have put some metal or different material on the slider parts for ease of use. Again, Amazon is awesome because I ordered on a Friday and had it by Saturday. Sweet.

This is the perfect match for use with topeak type
slid and lock racks. If you need to haul some light weight
whatever with your bike this is the ticket.Make sure you get
the cargo net as well.

This is a very smart concept.
The basket comes in very handy when going for groceries.
IT folds in a very smart and quick way. It fits perfectly to the rack (Topeak Explorer Bike Rack with Spring). I was afraid that somehow the spring would come in the way...
It's a very elegant product, even for carry books and stuff. The plastic is a good one - it bends slightly but it's not easy breakable. The wheels are good too. Overall: excellent.

Ingenious! (but you probably don't need it), February 29, 2012
By Terrance (Minneapolis, MN)

I love this basket, which is full of clever details. The only issue is that it reminds me of a solution in search of a problem. I don't really know why it needs to fold. The amazing trolley feature is very cool but doesn't really seem necessary unless you are stocking up on very heavy items and don't want to carry a bag or basket. And it makes the basket quite heavy. My guess is that the Topeak wire basket might be a better bet for most people with a Topeak compatible rack. That said, this weird basket should please all bicycle geeks.
Pros: Cool, geeky design Probably great for hauling potatoes, beer, and huge amounts of red beets; otherwise other types of baskets will do.
Cons: Heavy Hard to swing your leg around when mounting the bike
