5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice bottle cages, January 9, 2011
By J. Williams
Sturdy and somewhat lightweight. They do a great job of holding my bottles while I zoom over potholes and railroad tracks with wreckless abandon and they look great doing it. Very good quality. And nobody else I see has them.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Bottle Cage, October 22, 2010
By Gary Raley (Turlock, CA)
Good value. It does look like it is made of carbon fiber. The most important thing is that I have not lost a bottle yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice looking cage, October 11, 2010
By NCRider
I wanted to get decent water bottle cages for my road bike without having to spend my 401(k) on carbon cages to save 10 grams. After doing some research on eBay and Amazon, I found these Ibera aluminum cages and the look, weight and price were good enough for me. So I bought 2 and I am quite pleased with them. They are sturdy enough to hold a full bottle firmly while riding on the road (I did not try them on a mountain bike). They are reasonably light and look better than the standard aluminum cages. Overall, a good product at a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great product, January 7, 2011

but the hardware it comes with is pretty flimsy and I wound up using different screws to attach the cages other than that it is a great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  If you don't mind that it's not real CF, June 15, 2011
By jschristian44
This water bottle cage is excellent. Fits my water bottles perfect, they are 24 oz. It is a very stylish water bottle cage as well. It looks like real carbon fiber I think. If your up real close it doesn't, but like 2 feet away you can't tell the difference. They are almost as light as carbon fiber one's would be as well. They make my bike look very nice and I recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Value, March 10, 2011
By Miami Biker
This item looks great on my all carbon road bike. It holds a standard bottle perfectly. I have gotten several comliments on it and everyone thinks it is real carbon. As far as the weight is concerned, its not heavy at all. lighter than most aluminum holders. In a nutshell, unless you are a hardcore tour de france type of rider, or money is not an issue, this is a great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for all types of bottles and drinks., July 2, 2011
By Mat Pinta
I tried all types of drinks on it, even an Arizona can (23ounces) and it held it and did not spill a single drop with the can open. It's lightweight but strong.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Not that great, June 16, 2011
By R. DAILEY (GA)
Ok, so the bottle cage is cheap, that's why you're buying it right? Well, I guess you get what you pay for. I got the "Carbon looking" cage and I guess you could say it looks like carbon. But it really doesn't, but hey, it's cheap.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Aluminum Bottle Cage, September 21, 2011
By Just Honest
It's a great price, unless you receive it broken you really can't complain about a 9.99 price point for a bike accessory.
I can't speak for the glossy/shiny finishes but I ordered the black which is a flat black incidentally and of course when it arrived it was chipped off in numerous places and the silver shines through really voiding the whole purpose for black. I'm a little unhappy about a beat-up looking 'new' bottle cage, but at the price point, if I would have considered the 'aluminum' in the title better, I would have expected this and ordered another color. That original packaging is the typical piece of cardboard that hangs on a peg and the cage hardware(screws) attach the cage to the hanging cardboard, so unless they truly care about their customer you're just going to get one pulled off the peg and tossed into a box 'as-is'.I can say the aluminum feels rigid(firm) not so much flexible so if it suffers impact /abuse it'll probably break when trying to bend it back. These are just some background tidbits, things I should have considered or would have liked to know prior.
In the end, it's only 9.99, it's very light/low profile, a nice tight fit for the CamelBak Podium Chiller I bought it for, and mounts just fine to my bike with the bike's existing hardware. I've only have it a couple weeks and no change in integrity so far, but only time will tell. But again at this price point, even Walmart has nothing comparable, so I'd just buy another.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  great lightweight bottle cage, February 8, 2012
By S. L. Tomar
nice styling and lightweight, at a fraction of the cost of a carbon bottle cage. works well with traditional plastic bike water bottle; lip slips into the indented part of the bottle to hold it securely. haven't tried it with a straight-sided aluminum bottle.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Does the job, July 21, 2011
By JOBNUMBER
Like someone else stated, the carbon look doesn't look quite like carbon. More like the pattern was lifted from a black and silver koi Goldfish. I mean, I guess it kinda looks like carbon, maybe from from a bystanders point of view if you rode past them doing like 14 MPH.

I bought the carbon look because at the time, the carbon look was the only color choice that was available with Prime Shipping. I would've rather gotten the all silver if it had the Prime Shipping at the time.

I've noticed that the paint from the cage rubs off on my Camelbak Podium Chill water bottle, but it cleans off the bottle easy enough with just some rubbing from your fingers. Wonder how long before the paint rubs off the cage completely.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect for our needs, October 2, 2011
By Bryan Lewis (California)
My wife just got a carbon bike with the natural carbon look (clear coat no paint), but we didn't want to spend another $100 on two actual carbon cages. These aluminum cages work great, are still quite light, and match perfectly. Installed them very quickly. Good buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Bought 2 and I love them, September 8, 2011
By Bill Jacobus (Houston, Texas)
The bottle cages look great on my bike. Holds the 24-Ounce Polar Insulated Water Bottle just fine, but the cages do need to be squeezed in a little to make a tight fit. I jumped off of a curb on my MTB and one of the bottles flew out of the cage. So when I got home, I squeezed the cages in (gently) and held them in a squeezed position for around 30 seconds. It is stiff aluminum, but it can be bent without breaking, but be careful.

Came with hardware, but I just used my old bolts to attach the cages. The included bolts were longer than my bolts. Both bottles fit fine and do not interfere with each other or the front derailleur.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Has Wow Factor, September 8, 2011
By susan viereck (Riverside, Ca. 92503)
Just recieved Ibera Aluminum drink cage and it is even better looking than i hoped for. The silver color goes really great with the pewter and white color of my bike. Was really easy for my installation person (husband) to attach to bike. My Clean Bottle fit in it like it was made for it. Will be taking bike on ride soon to test it out , but i forsee no problems. Would definitely recommend it to other bike people. The price made it even better. There is a big difference between $9 and $40 dollars. It made a hot bike look even hotter.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  OK for a street bike, not so much for a mountain bike., September 8, 2011
By Thew (Minnesota & Colorado)
For cages made from sheet aluminum, this one feels much sturdier than much of the competition. I currently have this, and two of the wire style cages mentioned below on my bike, and personally prefer the wire ones for stability, strength, and the ability to take a beating. For anyone who isn't rough on their bikes, or sticks to more traveled trails, than this cage is a decent choice. For those who prefer single track, stump jumping, suicidal speeds, or anything else inductive of an adrenaline rush, than check out the link below and skip anything made from sheet aluminum!

If you have a tendency of being even slightly rough on your bike, then I would very highly recommend looking at this one instead :[...]

I highly recommend avoiding this one: [...] It is made of very soft aluminum and plastic, and does not last at all. The plastic molds are not adequately molded to remain fastened to the aluminum, and if it breaks free once, then the entire cage is useless. Also, the plastic is so soft that when mounting it on your bike you have to be careful to put just enough torque on the screw to be secure, but not so much as to cut through the plastic. After a few hard hits, those screws will either be loose or will have broken through the rest of the plastic on their own.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  It doesn't look like carbon, but a good cage nonetheless., August 29, 2011
By Esquire (Oklahoma City, USA)
I installed this on my carbon bike, and the texture doesn't match at all. My carbon frame is darker and the weave pattern is completely different than the pattern on this aluminum cage.

On the bright side, it secures my water bottle way better than a standard cage.

I reluctantly recommend, because if you wanted to pay for a real carbon cage, you like would have already bought one.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  These Look Great!, August 26, 2011

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Price and fits a large selection of water bottles, August 25, 2011
By G. Habermann (Akron, OH)
This summer I purchased a nice bike (as in something better than your average department store bike) and after the first couple of trips out, I realized that I needed water if I was going to make it any distance at all. I purchased this to go with a new water bottle Polar Insulated Water Bottle and to be honest, I didn't go over my bike to figure out how this would be attached.

When it showed up I realized that there are standard holes drilled into most modern bikes (at least non-department store or vintage bikes) that allow for proper attachment of a water bottle cage. This cage looks slick and appears to be carbon fiber. It might not pass scrutiny of a careful eye.. if they are going over it with some amount of detail but seriously... who has someone go over something like this so closely? Get a life! Anyways, this bottle cage lines up perfectly with standard mount bike holes and is sturdy. It fits both my 24oz Polar bottle as well as my 20oz Nalgene and I think I could go slightly larger or smaller if I had a different bottle.

The only negative I have is that the screws that come with this mount didn't match what was needed to affix it to my frame. I kicked around my garage a little and found a couple of extra mismatched screws that worked perfectly and have had zero problems.

Pros: sleek looks, lightweight, standard mounting, sturdy. +5 stars
Cons: the 2 screws included didn't work for my frame (but they might for yours!) -1 star

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Keep Bottle on bike, August 21, 2011
By James Paris (FRISCO, TX, US)
The cage came with screws in case yours are missing from the bike. Light wieght but very sturdy, some flex to mold tighter for some bottles. Best part is the pressure tab, for lack of better description. It keeps a bottle from rattling around. I have had 3 other cages over 8 years of biking, this is the best and will be replacing my old wire style cages.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  straddles my front derallieur, August 10, 2011
By megaba
I got this design because I have a smaller framed bike and regular cages don't fit over my front derallieur. These work just peachy, look nice, and fit. No problems so far. Keep in mind I'm not fast enough to start counting ounces on my gear, so I'm not sure if these would be considered light weight enough. I think they're pretty light.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Black Cages Look Great and Hold Bottle Securely, August 9, 2011
By Sheraz A. Choudhary
After much research, I ended up getting the black cages and was pleasantly surprised by how nice they looked. The image of the black cage on Amazon does not accurately portray the quality of the black cage.

They are light and have a look similar to a nice black plastic cage but when you pick it up you realize the cage is made of aluminium and feels very sturdy. Holds my bike bottles securely while allowing them to be easily removed.

Some have complained about the bolts that came with the cage. They seemed adequate but since my bike and most bikes come with blots this is a non-issue. Even if you don't have bolts the bolts that come with the cage will work.

SUMMARY:
Cheap, look great, sturdy, hold bottle securely & allow for easy removal. Excellent product!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice cages, July 8, 2011
By James Briscoe (PDX, OR)
These are nice cages; they do what their supposed to do and they look like their carbon fiber. My only complaint (and it's not a big one) is I wish they were flat carbon colored and not shiny because they would match my bike better. But $40 verses $10 apiece for saving 20 grams of weight per cage doesn't work for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Carbon look for a quarter of the cost!, July 7, 2011
By bigetan (MD)
Super fast to install.

Holds my two CamelBak Podium Chill Bottle (Carbon, 21 -Ounce) snugly and they are easy to get to during the ride.

PROS

carbon look (everyone wants carbon fiber on their bike b/c it has the cool factor and the expensive look!)
cheap (cost nearly 1/4 of what real carbon fiber does, and its really not that heavy)
easy install ( two 2 minutes to install)
snug hold ( holds my two water bottles alot tighter than my previous, never fear losing a bottle)

CONS

does loosen after use ( i have had to tighten the screws down about once a month after using it frequently) not a big deal.

Noone buys real carbon fiber cages for the weight reduction they buy it for the look! Why pay more!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid bottle holder, July 1, 2011
By YJ
Surprisingly enough, this bottle holder does in fact give the impression of being made of carbon rather than metal, so it looks very sleek. Really easy to install and looks far more expensive than it is. Only drawback is it is very stiff metal, so it does not flex much to adjust to slightly "off" size containers or bottles. But would definitely look to buy it again for any future bikes.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Product, January 20, 2011
By G. Anthony (Cleveland, Ohio USA)
The product is very sturdy and is exactly as shown. Very Nice. Unfortunately, it is to long. We can not fit a regular water bottle in the holder. The holder came up to close to the upper bar. It ia real hard to sqeeze the bottle in between the upper bar and the holder. She has a schwinn hybrid ladies bike.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bottle cage for the price, February 20, 2012
By Skeeterfood (Marion, IA)
I wanted something nicer than the standard metal bottle cages for my new road bike, but I'm not a weight weenie, so I didn't "need" carbon fiber. So far I'm very happy with the two I purchased. I've only taken a short ride with them, but they look nice and seem to hold the bottles securely. Hopefully the black won't wear off too quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good bottle cage, February 20, 2012
By Joe (Cleveland, OH)
I purchased two white aluminum bottle cages for my road bike. They each fit a 24oz water bottle well. I used the existing hardware from my bike to attach to the frame and not the included screws and nuts. The cages look good, perform well and best of all they were very inexpensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Look at a Great Price!, January 22, 2012
By J. Drake (San Diego, CA)
I bought a pre-owned white CAAD-9 which already had one boring and heavy bottle cage. I wanted to carry two bottles so I found these (in white) and bought a pair so they would match. Carbon cages were out of the que$tion. I was prepared to be disappointed -- the price and the form/function were too good to be true. Well, I was not disappointed. At all. Install was a snap (I used my existing hardware), the bottles set firmly with close to no play yet they are easily removed and replaced while riding. They look great -- even though my bike is aluminum, not carbon. The one thing I could stand was a less visible Iberia logo. But really, if I sold these cages, I'd be proud to put my brand on them as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great cage for the price, bought in white, January 17, 2012
By Edwin Ortiz (Brooklyn, NY USA)
I was a beginning cyclist when I bought this last year (i still am a beginner) so I don't really have much to compare this against but I have to say this cage gave me the most bang for the buck. Sure it's not as fancy as those other high-end, super-light, carbon fiber models but it's light enough and gets the job done by keeping my Camelback Podium Big Chill 25 oz bottle in one place. I've never had to worry about my bottle flying off while I'm dodging potholes and such during my daily commute. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the product for the price.

If I had to decide if I should buy this again, I would.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great holder for the price, September 23, 2011
By beneri (Minneapolis, MN)
I have owned this water bottle holder for almost a month now and it works great. Very easy to slide me water bottle in and out of. I like the look of this much better than a standard wire holder and it keeps the water bottle very secure. The only negative thing I've notice is that the inside of the cage has scuff marks from my water bottle. Other than that, it has worked as advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Got the black version for my mtb, August 11, 2011
By powerop (San Diego, CA)
I think the carbon-look is a great way to have the look without the premium cost, but I got the black version because it matches my frame better. Totally satisfied with the quality, fit, and design of the bottle cage. At first it was too tight to fit a regular bottle, but pulling the arms apart just a tiny bit made all the difference. I would not recommend bending it more than a couple times, otherwise you will decrease the strength of the metal. But its a great cage nonetheless. There is a hardened rubber part at the top to help hold your bottle in place. The black coating is not glossy but more like hard-anodized look and feel. Now I dont have to do a balancing act holding a bottle in my hand while I ride.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  No problems, July 22, 2011
By TeckFreek (Texas)
This holder fits my typical water bottles with no problems. Easy out without having a hard tug and easy in. Feel the snap so I know that it is all the way down in the holder. I really have no complaints. It even sits on my tube dimples a little high so it doesn't scratch the paint. I initially bought one to try it out since some aluminum holders seems to flex less and snap or bend. I ordered another since I liked it enough.

These cages are gorgeous! Light strong, easy exit/entry of water bottles and they look great. You can't tell they are not carbon. I was quite amazed when my order arrived. 5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Cage for the price, February 24, 2012
By Jayebee
I purchased two of these cages to replace the cheap, aluminum cages on my road bike. The old cages were easily bent out of shape and wouldn't hold water bottles securely. I have only had these cages for a few weeks but they seem to work great. They hold my standard water bottles securely and are easy to insert and extract. They also look as good as the very expensive cages.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Does a great job, and looks good, too., February 22, 2012

I ordered 2 of these in silver. I use these to hold my Polar Insulated Water Bottles and they are a perfect match. Will definitely be buying more for my other bikes.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  lighrweight and strong on the cheap, February 21, 2012
By S. MacFetters (New Orleans, LA)
Having been to the local sports stores and a few area bike shops i couldn't see buying a plastic bottle cage or wire aluminum for $15-20 each (2 bike, 4 cages). Well, i now own 4 of these. So far, great purcahse. They are strong, adaptable to different bottles, lightweight, and they look cool too.

Great buy!

Mounted these on a Bacchetta Corsa recumbent at about 25 degree angle and they work great and hold the big polar bottles in place. Did I mention that they look good

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Happy with my purchase, March 7, 2012
By Marcos (Sunny Florida)
I recently bought my first Trikke. I realized quickly I was going to need a bottle cage. This was exactly what I was looking for, and the price was right. I received it in 2 days and couldn't be happier.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Water Bottle Holder, March 7, 2012
By C. Town (Gobles, MI)
Purchased this water bottle holder for my spinner, holder is made very sturdy and seems like it will hold up well. Did have to make the holes in my spinner to attach, husband had no problem doing this, and the couple of times I have used it, it works great! Better than having the bottle sit on the handlebars!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very solid and looks great, March 2, 2012
By kilmer
When I bought this I was unsure if I would like it due to how cheap of a price it was, but when it came it was great. Simple and solid constructed product. It may not fit none standard(larger) bottles but works great for me. Ill update if it doesn't hold up over time.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  First Impression, March 1, 2012
By MatthewRPollock
The Good:
My first impressions of these is that they are light weight and the black looks better in person than in the pictures.

The Bad:
They came with several chips in the paint on them, which may not be a big deal for some, but for me, I will replace them with a different brand after they chip too much.

They also seem a little flimsy, although I am no expert on aluminum bottle cages, but they seem like they will deform after a few rides. I will post back after my first week of using them to let you know how they stand the test of time.

Also bummed they dont come in a glossy black - I don't want poser carbon fiber, I just want a nice glossy black to match my bike.
