Great casual biking shoe, May 13, 2010
By Greg (North Carolina)

These shoes are super comfy and feel very sturdy. Run true to size with a good amount of room in the toe box. Rubber outsole allows you to walk around without looking like a duck. They work great with my Shimano pedals.

Run VERY small, January 28, 2011

My husband usually wears a size 9 US, but we had to order a size 44 EU (10 M US) for him after the first ones arrived far too small. The size 44 is perfect, and the quality and look of the shoes are both excellent. We are looking forward to going out riding this spring!

Nice shoes, May 9, 2011
By Smacker (Connecticut)

I bought these to haul my kids in their trailer on the bike path and be able to walk around before and after the ride. These fit the bill perfectly. Stiff enough to really enjoy your ride and not too bad to walk around in. The fit is just a bit on the small side. I've always been a 42 2/3 - 43. The 43 just fits with my big toe just touching the front while walking. That's how I like my road shoes to fit so I'm not unhappy. Hope this helps you all.

Great shoes, November 5, 2011
By Steven J. Wolf (Turlock, CA United States)

Ever since I started mountain biking 11 years ago I've worn hiking type shoes because I often have to get off the bike on some pretty rugged terrain. I've worn several Shimano and Specialized models and these are the best I've ever had. Easy to clip in and out, yet good hiking tread. The Velcro straps allow quick and easy on and off, as well as easy adjustment of the fit throughout the length of the shoe. I'll never go back to laces!

Great commuter shoes, October 12, 2011
By Alexander J. Czisny
|
|
I use these shoes for commuting to work. The soles on them are substantial enough that you can bike for hours without your feet hurting. As other users have noted, when you look at the sizing chart, get ½ size larger. I have found this to be true with all Pearl iZUMi cycling shoes.

Good all-around shoe, January 31, 2012
By Go Horns! (Austin, TX USA)

This is my first cycling shoe, and I am very pleased with it. The recessed SPD cleat lets me walk around on most surfaces without making extra noise (besides rough concrete). As a walking shoe, the shoes are really comfortable. Can almost forget that you're wearing a cycling shoe. On the bike, the shoes are a huge improvement over a non-cleat shoe. The only issue that I have is that the top-most strap rubs against the front of my ankle, but other than that, I would recommend this shoe.

Runs small, January 18, 2012

I like the quality and design of this cycling shoe and had ordered based on other comments, unfortunately I ordered too large. It appears that my size eight foot fits the 42 just right! The ratchet mechanism is a plus if you like to snug up your shoes, I hope they hold up.

On my second pair, February 23, 2012
By ninerfan

I just bought my second pair. Not only are these shoes very durable, they have great traction for the many times I carry my bike through the sections I can't ride. My only concern when I first bought them was that the plastic ratcheting buckle wouldn't last long. After three seasons of riding I haven't had a single problem with the buckle or any other part of the shoe. They have regularly been coated with mud, soaked in creeks and hosed out without any issues. I bought a second pair because I got new pedals and used it as an excuse to get new shoes. The old pair are very comfortable and still in use.

Solid constructed all-purpose SPD-compatible shoe, April 9, 2012
By Cycleagain

Excellent product quality. I previous used a pair of Pearl Izumi I-Beam MTB shoes for about 5 years (20,000km on/off road), still holding together with retread soles from a used used MTB tire. The sizing is tight, I have 43.5 Pearl Izumi I-Beams perfect fit with room for the toes to move. These X-Alp Enduro II are very, very tight on the length of the shoe at 44 size. The construction and design is very different between these two products, this shoe has more ankle protection, it's thicker, and has excellent soles for regular bike-hiking, ideal for the touring I do. They are not currently selling 45, or they are out-of-stock now. Be careful, the next full size up would fit you, I will try to use these as is.
