1.0 out of 5 stars.  Either I'm very unlucky or these tubes aren't that great, August 14, 2011
By Reason (Boston)
Ordered two. First one sprung a leak after 10 miles at where the metal valve meets the tube. Second one literally popped as I was pumping the tube up because the previous one had already broken...

5.0 out of 5 stars.  awesome bike tube, fast shipping, August 12, 2011
By appatil8 (De Pere, Wi)
an awesome bike tube for the price. once one understands types of valves(presto and others), than changing bike tubes is a cake walk. much cheaper than a regular bike shop sale, and even beats walmart and others.
bike tubes are important to change for good biking mileage and this product fits the bill . a recurring buy.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not great, October 28, 2011
By MikeRidesBikes
These tubes are not very good. Seem to be flat prone. I have got deep rims and have to use a valve extender and they are the only tubes I've ever owned that let air escape when pumping up the tires with the valve extender on. I won't be purchasing these again. Unfortunately bought 3....

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great tube at a great price, October 26, 2011
By Jon
I haven't had any bad issues with Avenir tubes. I've been riding on the same tubes for near ~800 miles now and over some VERY tough terrain (wrapped in the tough-as-nails Conti 4000S tires though). I thought the long 60mm stems looked a bit goofy at first, but after dealing with them for so long I wouldn't go any shorter. Makes cap removal and pumping just that much easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Like A Baby's Bottom, September 9, 2011

I like the smooth stem because it is much easier on my pumps. The threaded stems chew up the pump heads.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  As Advertised, July 28, 2011
By Sam F (California)
These tubes work well. I run them with puncture resistant Serfas Seca tires. I would prefer to have a threaded valve stem to hold it more tightly to the rim, however the smooth valve stem is fine once inflated. These tubes inflate easily and fit nicely into the tire and rim. So far no punctures and I am very happy with these tubes.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very Reliable, June 27, 2011
By R.D. Monsoon
I ride between 80 to 100 miles a week, and Avenir's tubes have lasted me well over a year.

Nothing more to say besides that.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  7 months and still going strong, May 24, 2011
By Pal
I ride 120+ miles per week, sometimes more. I bought my last tube in September and am buying some more for backup for some longer rides I'm about to do. Love the long valves, easier to pump up.

Updating after 7 months of usage... recently these have begun to pop more often and I'm going to switch to Michelin or Fuji to give them a try. Moving from 5 to 4 stars for now.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Worst Tubes Ever!, October 22, 2011
By WalterGA
Have tried four (4) of these worthless tubes. All four failed where the valve stem goes through the rim. Additionally, the smooth valve stems slip out of the pump nozzle, making inflation with a floor pump almost impossible, without someone to hold the nozzle on the valve.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Multiple bike owner., March 19, 2012
By Marquis Toson
Exactly as advertised. 60mm stem is what I needed and these fit the bill. I needed the extra stem length to accommodate my 43mm rim height and these worked out perfectly without having to used valve extenders.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Buyer Beware!, March 17, 2012
By phodges0921
I have purchased 4 of these tubes. Two, I had no problems with. On the other two, I was not so lucky. One developed a pin hole leak for no obvious reason but I was able to patch it. The other, I never got a chance to use because of a split seam which could not be patched. This is the way it came directly out of the box. I plan on using other brands in the future. There seems to be a lack of quality control in the production of this product.
