Three piece flag works., August 3, 2010
By Jay H. Harris (Minneapolis, MN United States)

There are three types of bike safety flags: one piece, two piece and three piece.
One piece works as a sefety flag but is practical for storage only if you're going to leave your bike/trike on the ground/floor when storing it.
Two piece works equaly well as a sarfety flag but reduces storage height by 2+ft.
Three piece is taller than the other two so works better as a safety flag and reduces to less than either making it even better for storage as well.

Good, but joints are plastic, September 14, 2010
By Jeffrey B. Fiedler

This just arrived and overall looks like a good product.
The 3-section design is definitely a huge plus relative to one and two-section designs, if you need to bring the bike/trailer inside.
One complaint: the section joints are plastic, not the metal that they appear to be in the picture. I'll see how they hold up to daily use and report back.
EDIT: The plastic joints are holding up fine after several months. Still think they should be metal, but not as much of a problem as I feared.

Excellent Flag - hardware would be nice, September 28, 2010
By Margaret Metzger (Rockville, MD United States)

The flag is very nice in that it is three pieces rather than one long one. Much easier to store and travel with than a long poll. I knew from prior reviews that this flag really doesn't have any hardware to help in attaching it to the bike. If you have a spot on the tire that works you could put it below the bolt - that doesn't work for me since I'm attaching this to my son's Ezy Roller Ultimate Riding Machine - so I bought some plastic ties to use to fasten the base.

Good flag for good price, January 16, 2012

The three section flag is tall, and reasonably sturdy. It is very reasonably priced, too! Initially I was afraid that the joint wasn't going to hold for the torque but it does. The metal joint also performed quite well despite the huge swings by an unsteady rider.

Nice flag for the price, May 16, 2011

I bought these to use as signal flags in an industrial setting, so not sure how well they would last on a cycle, given their 3-piece design. For our purposes, though, they are exactly what we were looking for and the price point was excellent.

Orange Flags, August 16, 2010

The flags are fine, but the attachment? There is no screws or bolts to hold it to anything. You have to find a way to mount it to your bike yourself.

Good, but with primitive hardware, May 23, 2012
By Omroot (Illinois, USA)

Already knew about the plastic components when I bought it. I think that for the price, the seller should include better hardware that can adjust not only to a bike but to a bike trailer as well, for the rating to be 5 stars. I tossed the metal hardware and just used the plastic hose clip to attach the lowest stick. Holds up great. A little ingenuity, and no regrets. Decent product.

Bought for Burley trailer, March 28, 2012
By Matt

It's OK. - Flag is a little smaller than I expected. - Mast is more flexible than I expected. - If I remove the sheet-metal bracket at the bottom (with a hacksaw to the mast), the now cut-off mast basically fits in the flag receiver on my Burley trailer. It's not an exact fit, but I think it can be made to work.

Just fine, March 19, 2012

3 pieces, which I like, so I can make it shorter and it breaks down for storage and travel. Works just fine, I use it on a Sun Recumbent with a QR hub. Just fastened it under the QR mechanism. No problems.
