Works well, November 12, 2009
By Stephen M. Charme (central New Jersey)

I bought a pair of these after I saw the winner of the 2009 NYC Marathon wearing arm warmers (though I don't know what brand). He was wearing a tanktop, but the weather was a bit cool, so he had on a pair of arm warmers. That allowed him to basically create the effect of a longsleeve shirt with an armpit vent (I have never seen such a shirt, hence the usefulness of this product). If you run any distances, you know that sweat builds up in the armpits and can soak a regular shirt, which is not comfortable.
This product is perfect for a day where a tanktop alone is not warm enough. Also, if the temperature warms up, you can remove this product while you continue running (though you need a pocket to put this in).
This is made of synthetic materials; there are more expensive wool arm warmers. But if the temperature is so cold that I need to break out my fleece running gear, then I doubt I will be using arm warmers rather than a fleece jacket with armpit vents.
This is one size fits all and easily slides onto your arm, though it is skin tight, so if you like only loose fitting clothing, then this is not for you. It covers your entire arm from the wrist to the armpit. Only your shoulders are exposed.
This is a good accessory for Fall running. When a fleece jacket is too warm, this works great with a tanktop, and goes perfectly with a light nylon vest for windy conditions.
Buy this on Amazon. My local running store wanted nearly triple the Amazon price for this product.

Great Product, March 7, 2010
By Nicole G. (San Diego, CA USA)

I bought these to wear on my early morning runs. It is really cold when I leave my house, but after a couple miles I start to get too warm. I can fold them halfway down, and if needed, remove them completely and tuck them into my waistband. I love this product!

Thicker, more cottony than dry-fit, August 30, 2010
By L. Chan (pasadena, ca)

These are pretty thick arm warmers. They're feel more like a thicker cotton material, than a thin dry-fit material. So when you sweat it gets a little heavy and wet.
I don't use them for running anymore. I ended up using them for biking, or other less "sweaty" activities instead

Good for the Price, November 7, 2010
By Tabitha (So.Cal, USA)

I live in Southern California, so arm warmers are needed for most of the year. I used these during my last half marathon and they did the job well, didn't rub after 10 miles (at which point, it had warmed up sufficiently to take them off) and held there shape after a machine washing. Afer reading other reviews, I would recommend hand washing, which isn't a big deal. I've handwashed and an dhang dried them as well and they dry pretty quickly.
You could pay more and get some with moisture wicking and pockets for your gels and I will probably do that at some point. But I will use these through the winter (or the cool summers that SoCal has from Nov to Mar) and be satisfied.
Can't say how these would work in really extreme cold, but for here, they do just fine.

Cycling Warmer!, October 23, 2010
By Samantha
|
|
I purchased the warmers to use when cycling, as my jerseys are short sleeved, and I didn't want to have to purchase a new jersey for some of my fall rides. I wore the sleeves on a 15 mile ride, and they helped SO much! I ended up purchasing another pair for my boyfriend, for him to wear when riding and running this fall. The sleeves were comfortable, and did exactly what I needed them to do... keep me warm when riding.

Arm Warmers, June 29, 2010
By Gadget Man (Los Angeles, Ca)

These were purchased as a gift for a friend to is an avid runner. She uses these all of the time for cold morning workouts. She loves them and says that they are very comfortable. These are good to keep warm on cold days or to protect arms from the sun on days that it isn't very cold.
These are a real attention grabber because at the last 5k I went to, several people approached my friend to ask her about the arm warmer.

Don't machine wash, March 13, 2011
By stonewall

This is a pretty good product for comfort and warm on a cool run; however, no information about washing requirements, so I put them in my running clothes wash and the seams delaminated rending this product useless. Would advise purchasers to hand wash only!

Love these arm warmers. They are light weight but warm and stay in place once they are on. Great for running or working out and easy to take off once it gets warm. Good quality material.

It's a pretty decent item.
The only problem I have with it is that it's too small.
I'm a guy that wears a size Small, but these arm warmers aren't big enough. They aren't long enough and are a bit too small.

Great alternative to long sleeves!, February 3, 2011
By JC
|
|
Most of my running gear is short sleeved and this was an inexpensive fix so that I didn't have to purchase long sleeved shirts in a mild climate. They are plenty warm enough in 40ish degree weather. I did have some chafe problems on longer runs, but applying chafe stick before long runs solved the problem. These are a thicker fabric so I don't think I would use them in weather above 50 degrees.

I ordered these arm warmers in white. They looked very nice the first time I wore them, but after I washed them they had these little balls of material on them. Looks dirty. The armers kept me warm, stayed in place.

Arm Warmers feel like pajamas, July 6, 2011
By runnerK
|
|
I wore these in teal for my third duathlon in Alameda CA. The weather was chilly and overcast with some wind so I didn't want to race in my tank and nothing covering my arms. I liked how you can peel them off at any time.
This was my first try at wearing arm warmers and the only ones at the Running store that were affordable. Not only were they stylish, more importantly they were comfortable, cozy and warm. Perfect on the bike leg in the wind but not overly warm on the run legs. I wore them all the way home after the race and didn't want to take them off.
Bought them off Amazon in black for the next cool weather race or training run or bike. Love them!

Just as advertised, November 13, 2011
By DLake

Love these for that "inbetween" warm/cold weather that happens in the fall and spring. I like that I can wear a tank top or cut off shirt for running with these. I also sometimes use these for biking on sunny days when it just gets a bit cold when the sun goes behind the clouds. I'll have them under a thin long sleeve bike jersey on 50-60 degree windy cycling days.

thrilled with this purchase!, January 19, 2012
By Fran V (NE Ohio)

I bought these arm-warmers to use in the Goofy Challenge in Orlando in January. They were absolutely worth it! Because of weather and Disney Park considerations, you have to get up at 2:30 am for a 5:30 am start time. Day One was 48 degrees and overcast. Day Two was 51 degrees and very humid (and eventually sunny). Both days got up to around 75-77. These were perfect for standing around waiting for the start of the race. Not too heavy, not too constrictive, but snug fitting. If you really wanted to, you could pull them down over your hands to act as temporary gloves. I did not wear them for the entire duration of the races. When it got warm enough, I pulled one inside the other and tied them in a knot on my fuel belt one day, and actually threaded my belt through them on the second. I get very warm when I run, but I could see leaving them on during a cooler day. I live in Northeast Ohio, so I will definitely pick up another pair for springtime running. Cost is very good, too.
Note that these are NOT lycra/spandex compression. They are made of a light knitted material. I did machine wash them in a small garment bag and did NOT dry them in the dryer. They did not shrink at all.

Great for marathon running, January 10, 2012
By Hyung Lee (Scarsdale, NY USA)
|
|
I purchased these to use in running marathons, which take place in the spring or fall when the weather is cooler. I wear these arm sleeves along with my shorts and sleeveless top (tank top or singlet). At the beginning of the race, when I am cold, I keep the sleeves down. If I get warmer during the race, I will roll them down once, twice or three times and keep them on my wrist to use to wipe my sweat. There have been times where I started with the sleeves up, rolled them down during the race, then pulled them back up towards the end of the race because the weather got cooler. Very versatile and a great alternative to wearing long sleeve shirt at a race.

Happy with my purchase, January 8, 2012
By J. Knight (NC)
|
|
I purchased two pair of these Asics arm warmers from Amazon. The value is fantastic. My wife and I both wear them, and neither of us has any issue w/ fit. She's 5'8" and I'm 6'2". These are perfect for days when you're not quite sure about the weather, so a long-sleeved shirt could be the wrong choice. With these warmers, it's easy to just throw on short sleeves or a tank, put on the warmers, and go out. If you get too hot, just pull them down or put them in your running pack. With short sleeves, these work for me down to about 50 degrees. Lower than that, and I put them over long sleeves. But I typically wear Nike compression base-layer shirts, which are pretty thin. If you wear thicker/warmer shirts, you could get away with colder temps. I'm not sure what material the warmers are made of, but I've had no problems with them holding sweat. Overall, a very good buy and I plan on purchasing a few more. Highly recommend.

I just got these and put them on. I bought them becasue where I live the morning temps can be around 20 degrees then climb up to about 55 degrees. A heavy coat was too much in the afternoon. I bought these so I could use them for my arms in the morning without having to use a heavy coat. Now I can use a decent vest and these and don't have to fight the bulkiness of a heavy coat!.

I love these. I was confident with this purchase because of all the great reviews and I have to agree with them. My arms are 15" and these were fine although I am sure if they were smaller these would be even better. They stay in place and are incredibly comfortable. They are perfect on days that either you or the day will warm up.

You really can't beat this with a stick!, May 22, 2012
By Jonathan

I run, I cycle, I hike, and these things go with me all the time.
pros: Price! Gotta love the price, great bang for your buck
They're snug but not too tight
easy to wash and dry
cons: They're not the warmest things but do you really want super warm when you're working out?
I have read others stating that these fall apart really fast after washing. I hand wash and hang these nearly after every time I've used them. They're still in one piece so far. However, I haven't thrown them in the washer and dryer. These things are thin and I'm not sure they were meant for that kind of abuse. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, the weather is always changing, so pairing these with a short sleeve t-shirt is one of my favorite things to do. When it gets warm, I simply roll them off my arms and stick them in a pocket!

I like these warmers, but..., March 13, 2012
By AC (New England)
|
|
I purchased a blue pair of these arm warmers on January 3, received them approximately 10 days later. Since I live in New England, I was looking for a product that could provide extra warmth to my arms on those particularly chilly days that are common for our winters. Based on the the reviews for this product and similar, I picked this product, thinking if would be durable enough for my needs (running 3x a week, and not always necessary needing this product due to temperature).
And while I do like these warmers, and find them to be a fantastic fit...I noticed today that one cuff is already becoming 'unwound'. This doesn't seem to yet be an issue with the other cuff (yet?) ... but I really shouldn't be seeing this type of wear after barely 2 months of ownership, and under 10 times worn.
Naturally, I'm outside of my return period so I guess I'll keep using these until they disintegrate completely - at which point I'll look for something more durable!

Works well, February 20, 2012
By Anonymous (USA)

They are warm and not so sweaty after 10 miles in 30 F weather under 1 wicking layer. Your probably will pull them off by the middle of a long run as they do work really well. In 20 F weather, you probably want to wear them under 2 running layers, and in 10 F weather, keep them on throughout the run. One small comment: they smell like dye, though, even after a number of washes.
