1.0 out of 5 stars.  Don't buy, April 25, 2010
By bikerider
For any bell to work, there should be 'ring' to its sound which makes the sound travel farther and thus alert someone you want to alert. This bell has no 'ring' to its sound. It sounds more like 'tick-tack' rather than 'ding dong'. While using this bell, only I could hear its sound. Pedestrians 20 feet away on a busy road didn't even hear it. I don't know how people are giving so high marks to this bell. I fell for the wrong reviews. Hopefully you won't.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great little bell, April 23, 2009
By Prizefind (LOS ANGELES, CA United States)
This bell is cute, small and has a loud "ding". It seems high quality and I like how unobtrusive it is on my handlebars.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Bell or Klacker?, November 7, 2010
By KyleStyle
To start, this item does function exactly as it says, however, it is not the same the childhood bells you grew up with on your bike.

This bell lacks the resonation after the initial hit on the bell. Because of that, it cut the sound short right after using it.

That being said, it worked perfect for my nephews, as I didn't want the bell in my ear all day, and the lack of resonate tone actually helps keep the headaches away!

*Fits very well on standard BMX/Mountain Bike handlebars.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  It's Ok, October 12, 2010
By Gina R. (NC)
its ok, it looks better in the pic then live, plus I was disappointed in the ring sound I was hoping for a little more of a ring a ding this is well low sounding and boring. (well it what it is and I will use it) I purchased do because of other reviewers liking it. Reviews if your goanna take your time to review please be honest. so buyers like myself can make a decision.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice ring, June 25, 2010
By Doowhite (Hilo)
Well, it was cheap, easy to install, and makes a nice ring. Unlike some of the other ones we've had, that either chimed in a rattling sound or honked loudly, this one gives you one pleasant "ding." Not irritating at all. I bought 3 for my 3 kids' bikes, but it didn't fit my son's slightly thicker handlebars. My 2 daughter's bikes were fine. Just make sure your bike handlebars are the standard size.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Ventura Mini Bike Bell, May 23, 2011
By DJ (MD, USA)
I purchased this because it was cheap and compact, so it doesn't take up room . It was easy to put on the bike handle and sounds great. I would buy another one if I need it for another bike.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Low Efficiency Bell, April 9, 2011
By JP (CT)
The mounting clamp ring is not big enough for my bike and the bell is not running efficiently. Unique sound but not loud enough for me compare to other bells.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good enough, January 23, 2011
By Honestly Now. . . (Hilo, HI)
This is a good bell for the price. It's not winning any awards, but it has a "DA-DING" loud enough that people look behind them when I'm on my bike without thinking it sounds obtrusive and rude, which is enough for me. Fits on the handlebars of my Specialized bike and doesn't rust.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Kids love this, February 7, 2010
By 'Nana' (IA)

This is a great bell for children's trikes or bikes. It can also bring a smile to the parents and Grandparents faces as it brings back memories with its familiar sound. Very sturdy.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Cheap, March 29, 2010
By Hale (Valley Village, CA)
This thing is a cheap piece of c**p. Its a lot smaller than it looks in the photo. Doesn't fit on my handle bars and it arrived broken. Gonna shell out a few extra dollars for a nicer one from the bike shop.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not loud enough, December 10, 2011
By KTS (Houston)
A bell is supposed to alert people. This one doesn't. It is too quiet to be effective, and the tone is too dead to be readily noticed. Should have sent it back.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Enough, June 29, 2011
By Steve N.
I received two of these bells. One works as intended, so far everyone on the trails has heard me (except for the ones listening to music). Unfortunately the second bell has a much more dull sound to it. I haven't tried it out on the trail to see if it's still effective at warning other trail users.

Also the lack of the charming ring is somewhat disappointing compared to my friends bell but it does what it's supposed to do.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  well built, small but strong bell, November 17, 2010
By JPnyc (New York City)
Not much more to say, really.
Definitely does the job, needs to be screwed onto the handle bar, which is good > hard to steal.

It's a bit smaller than expected, but it's loud enough, so it's a very good deal for the price.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Worst purchase to date, May 10, 2012

What a piece of crap ! This does not deserve to be called a bell. It has a dead ring and I would return it if it wasn't such a hassle...........into the trash it goes!
