2.0 out of 5 stars.  Mediocre product, October 13, 2010
By Stephen M. Charme (central New Jersey)
I am a runner and need to be "lit up" when I run at dawn, at dusk, or when it is pitch black. This product emits a relatively weak light that is not easily visible except in pitch black conditions. And even then, the light is not that strong. In addition, this is not particularly durable. If you are a runner or bicycle rider, there are much better products out there. I do not recommend this. Instead I recommend the Nitezone armband, which I have reviewed on Amazon.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Safety for bikers, joggers, walkers at night!, February 7, 2009
By Hookebine (Westerwald)
I am a biker and I commute every other day at 5am for 12 miles. Every time I meet peole either dog walkers or joggers on the dark biking and fitness trail who do not even have a reflective stipe on their clothes. Since I have a 10 watt halogen front beam I can see them but only if they were 20 feet in front of me, so sometimes I am really scared about their safety. I wish they would use one or two of these simple safety lights around their arms or legs. I use those LED light bands now for 3 years while biking or Nordic Walking in the dawn and they start to fail now because the band is flexible and after some time of being bend the LEDs are loosing contact due to electr. wire break. The battery is a CR 2035 lithium cell and is running for really a long time. The micro switches sometimes fail and I need to push them several times. A usefull product but quality needs to be improved.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Mwave vs Schwinn?, August 31, 2011
By Electropostie
I bought the Mwave and the Schwinn Reflective Arm Band at the same time to compare. The Mwave has a longer band - the Schwinn is rather tight if you have broad arms, and frankly might not fit at all if you're significantly overweight. The Schwinn lights are on the outside versus the Mwave which are inside the plastic, so the Schwinn is a little brighter.

Not much to choose either way, they're both good products. The Mwave wins on price and fit, and the Schwinn on performance and build quality.

*** UPDATE ***

Having decided I preferred the Mwave due to its length, I ordered 6 more for myself and my wife (so we'd have 8 total, one for every arm or leg!) but unfortunately the second order turned out to be some third brand, and was much shorter than the Mwave bands. I'm a little disappointed that they're supplying equivalent but not identical parts from day to day without adjusting the description to match. Nothing wrong with these new ones unless you have large biceps :-)

3.0 out of 5 stars.  raw, January 30, 2010

This was given as a gift so I can not rate it from my experience and the recipient has not had a chance to use it yet. From a shipping stand point the product arrived on time in in excellent condition.
