I recently purchased a scooter for errands and fun. Great gas mileage by the way. Around here 5 or 6 scooters are stolen a week. Bad economy, good scooter sales. I use my 1217 to secure the scoot to anything that can't be picked up and moved. The 5' length lets me lock up almost anywhere I go. Only CVS doesn't have a thing to lock to so I use the drive thru window. It's a heavy lock but OK for packing away inside the scooter storage compartment. Anyone who thinks they can pick this lock with a Bic pen is about 3 years behind the times. The new updated lock isn't opening for anyone without a key.

We use this to secure our portable generator while we are away from our camping site. We just lock it to our travel trailer tongue and it works great.

excellent chain lock for my Honda Metropolitan Moped, December 29, 2011

excellent chain and disc lock. I have a Honda Metropolitan moped that i use the lock and chain to secure. the chain is pretty imposing. Kryptonite does make a chain with even bigger links, but i think that is probably overkill. this one is already north of 10 pounds. yeah, probably wont deter every single knucklehead who would want to attempt to steal your bike, but i think it is pretty good. I use it in conjunction with a Kryptonite Fuggetaboutit u-Lock. pretty good combination

I got three of them so it achieves the desired length to attach both of my motorcycles to each other. Just by touching & looking at those chains you immediately feel it's a TOUGH PRODUCT....it's very robust.
