perfect for winter running, November 4, 2009
By W. Black (N. California, United States)

These tights are lovely and toasty, excellent for running in the cold. They fit great and don't migrate at all. I run hot, so I think I'd broil when it warms up again, but in the meantime these are great for running in the 30/40s. They rinse out and dry relatively quickly, so they've been indispensable for running outside in these weird weather starts to the season. I couldn't find my ID tag once so I stuck my driver's license in the gu pocket--do not recommend, it hits just at the wrong spot, so if you like to put stuff in the tiny pockets that come in running gear, you might be bummed out by this.

Disappointing quality, December 19, 2010
By Heidi

I got these tights in hopes they would get my injured legs through a marathon. The support was great and I really did have much more confidence while wearing the tights. My complaint is that they ripped at mile 9 during the marathon - I hadn't tied them at the waist after a portapotty stop, and felt them drifting downwards, so I pulled them back up while running and they ripped! I really think tights this expensive should be more durable. I was really disappointed by that, and will not buy them again as a result. It's just too much money for a poorly made or defective product.

Support your muscles, November 3, 2010
By Iris

I bought the CWX tights, had some training runs in and ran
my first marathon.
The tights make the runs easier, you feel the extra
support for muscles. I had a painfree run.
I already ordered the insulated ones for the winter.

Amazing Product, November 22, 2009

CW-X Pro Tights deliver what they promise. I am recovering from a hamstring injury and the compression and muscular/tendon banding support they offer is unsurpassed. My chiropractor is even recommending them to his patients because of the support they offer. Great product! Sizing is accurate. They feel great! I acutally have now bought the shorts and the 3/4 length in the same product line. Run with them all the time now. I would definatley recommend them to a friend.

Fits like a lower torso girdle of olden days:*), August 7, 2010
By pafmarwak (OR)

I wanted to love this tight but it is just okay. I have a bad back and bad knee. The support on my back felt good and the tights fit like a glove overall. The knee band construction did not give my knee enough support. Usually I wear a neoprene open patella knee support and this tight wasn't as supportive. I walk more than I run but still need firm support for my aged joints. I did not have a problem with the tights slipping down or moving during my walking and running like some people have reported. I did have problems with the seams digging into my backside and front and the tied waist lace digging into my navel. The seams also rubbed against my crotch. I would like to see these tights made with a gusseted crotch and flatlock seams. Then they would get 5 stars from me.

Great tights, bad description, January 9, 2012
By Gsmceo

I love CW-x running tights and these are great, but the description does not mention that these are the INSULATOR pro CR-X tights, not just the "pro" tights. They are made for running in cold weather. You could not wear them in spring, summer or early fall. If you want these for cold weather, I encourage you, but don't get these if you want year-round tights.

Great Product, June 5, 2011
By Jenn (Mammoth Lakes, CA)

These pants are great. I am 5'2 120 lbs. and ordered the x-small and they work perfectly for me! Use them twice weekly and love that I got such a great deal! The only reason I gave the review 4 stars is because of the shipping! They shipped from Arizona and I'm in Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. The package took 6 business days to reach me! It went from Los Angeles to Chico back to Bell (Los Angeles area), to Santa Clarita to Bell again and then finally up here to me...In reality they could've been here quite a bit sooner...It irked me that it took so long! Other than that I am so happy with my purchase!
UPDATE 9/2011
I just wanted to point out I have continuted to lose weight...I am now 5'2 111 lbs. and they still fit just right! Wear them twice a week and loving still...

Amazing running tights, January 31, 2011
By Jonesie22

I am 6ft tall and about 190lbs so I ordered the Large Pair according to the height and weight reccomendations. When I received these I thought no way am I fitting in them. They looked like my 11 year old daughters size. This is when I learned that compression pants were similiar to panty hose and you put them on in the same way. They felt great when I put them on. I immediately felt the support from the blue bands of fabric. After going for a run, my legs felt like they had received a stimulating massage. It was 33 degrees when I ran outside and snow was on the ground. I was cold at first until I began to run. The fabric kept me warm and dry! I highly reccomend these to anyone. My only complaint is that I wish they were a bit longer to cover my ankles. At 6 ft this is difficult to find.

Great running tights, December 11, 2010
By lesimpson

I tried these out on a 5K race. They were wonderful. My legs did not get as tired and I felt great after the race. Just make sure you follow the directions on to put them on. The first time I tried them on the tights felt like they were sliding down. I reread the instuctions and made sure I did just what it said. I will be buying more in the future.

CW-X, October 18, 2011
By Joy

According to the size chart, I should have been a size small. I had to send them back for a medium and that was even questionable for fit.I could barely get those on. Didn't want to try a large size and have to send them back too.
Therfore, I think the size chart runs SMALL.VERY SMALL.

Great tights to prevent injuries, June 16, 2011
By RunningBeaver
|
|
I'd been suffering from piriformus which also contributed to my tight hamstrings and lower back pain. So the main purpose of buying the Pro Running tights was to prevent injuries as from the images and descriptions, the pro model seem to cover hips and hamstrings well. I have to say since I wore them from this summer, I have never suffered piriformus that much as I did before even after speed workouts and 2-3 hours long distance runs - my hip used to be so sore at night after a hard workout that I couldn't sleep well. I ordered small (5'4" and between 110-116 lbs) and it is perfect size for me. They also make me run faster as I don't have to worry about my injury any more. I try to wear these tights as often as I can as they give me the support for my hips and hamstrings. When it is really warm or I have to race, I wear shorts, but sleep in the tights for recovery. The next morning I'd feel nothing from my hard workout or race on the previous day. As a matter of fact, I just ordered a pair of Pro Running shorts (knee high) and Stability tights. They are absolutely great products for me in my situation.
The only complaint I have is that I don't have any knees problems and thus have found the support for knees is rather restrictive in the beginning in my case. But I have got used to it now.
Overall, they are great products. Strongly recommended!!

Great tights for cool weather running and speed!, December 15, 2010
By RunMom
|
|
Bought these tights to prepare for a late November marathon that we expected cold temps (30 and precipitation). The marathon day ended up being warm weather so I didn't wear them but was really thrilled with all my training runs in these tights. For any wet weather below 45 degrees or cold weather below 40 degrees, these tights are perfect. Once you get them on, which you should do carefully so the support is appropriately alligned, they feel good and cover well. I truly felt these tights made me faster and after wearing them a few times noticed my race attitude even felt faster because I was supported by good gear. They are my first experience with compression and are a great choice - enjoy!

Not much to say that hasn't been written about these. I'm a big girl (6 ft tall) and a pro football player. Got these as an first layer for winter practices and preseason workouts. At first I was a little worried about the fit, but while they take time to pull on, they're amazing. I'm looking forward to getting out on the field in these babies.
Bonus, they make your butt look really good!!

These are great running pants! Just keep in mind that they run a bit small, so you'll need to go up a size from what company recommends. Other than that you will love them.

Feels good...., May 16, 2011
By Tennismama (Westchester, NY)

NOTE Sizing: I'm 5'4" and 145 lb'ish and I bought small. It feels a little bit snug, but I'll just have to lose some weight! What the manufacturer does NOT tell you is the inseam, which I think is very critical with these tights as you want the support in the correct muscle area. My inseam is 28" and the tights feel just a little bit too short. It is about 1 inch or so short in the crotch area. But then again, if I lose some weight, it may feel right. So beware if you'r a tall girl - these tights may or may not fit you. (go to www/cw-x.com and make sure that you're purchasing the right size)
As for the functionality, it feels great. I bought them to play tennis in, to aleviate muscle ache and to prevent injuries. I like how they feel around my knees - I feel they give me good support.
The only thing is it is HOT. I should save these tights for colder months and buy the "Ventilator" model for the coming months.
All in all, I am happy with the product and am recommending them to other tennis players.

I was pretty disappointed with these tights. They are not true to size. I ordered a medium but they are definitely too small. I'm on the low end of a medium so these tights should have fit. I totally wasted my money.

Happily surprised!, November 13, 2011
By KDB

I had never run in a pair of compression tights before I bought these. I was skeptical about all the rave reviews I had been hearing about how the decreased muscle oscillation reduces fatigue, etc. Intiutively, it seemed like the compression factor would make each stride more work. I bought these because I didn't have any long tights suitable to run in back in september/october when the weather was getting cold and figured I'd give them a try. Also, after the way my legs felt after my last half marathon I was sort of willing to try anything. They are wonderful! I'm not sure if its the excitement of having new running gear to break in or if the tights actually work, but by the end of my run my body felt the way it usually does at half the distance. Maybe this compression business is legit! Regardless, I ended up buying an insulated pair because these are so well ventilated that they don't add much warmth, but will be great when the warmer weather comes around.

great compression tights, November 7, 2011
By nb_nyc
|
|
these are comfortable but feel supportive. i got them to help keep an old hamstring injury from recurring and they do seem to support that muscle group - not to the degree that wrapping the area would, but that is not what i was looking for - i was looking for more general support / compression. plus, as mentioned by other reviewers, the actually make my legs feel energized when running and the benefit to recovery is apparent as well. they are quite warm, too, which is good for this time of year in nyc - not sure if they'll be too warm for spring but at that time of year i'm less worried about muscle strain because i'm not setting off with cold legs.

These pants are awesome. I am training for a marathon and will run in them on the day of the marathon, weather permitting. They are tough to get on, but they really hold everything in place and I believe that compression truly works. I think anyone looking to ward off leg injuries should get them ASAP!

I love these running tights (my dog did, too), June 8, 2011
By gl1

For me, running and shin splits were always synonomous. With these running tights, I have not experienced shin splits once (usually 4-8 mi sessions). The tights are snug, comfortable, properly constricting and keep me supported.
The tiny interior pocket is great for trainer-sized treats for my four-legged running companion. Only drawback? I set the tights out to dry after a run, and discovered my dog loved them, too. They survived my lab with only a few tiny holes (it's that durable), but this kind of material cannot be patched. I used a few coats of clear nail polish, both inside and out (let dry overnight between each coat) and the holes have not spread. Amazingly, the polish does not chafe or move when running. I've since ordered a second set for races and keep the "doggie tights" for running on my own.

Love them, March 26, 2011

These tights are great. Yes, they take a few min. to get on then you realize you have to use the restroom. Totally worth it to have the compression. I am worried of them ripping like I've read so I try to pull them up, holding the seams. I have used them on my longer runs 7-9 miles. My legs feel great, during and after. I plan on wearing them for my half marathon. They are the best compression tights I've worn.
Worth every dollar and one of the best running investments I made.
I'm 5'4; 142 lbs. I was inbetween the small and med. I ordered small. I figured I would want them tighter since that is the object. They fit perfect.

The battery in your legs..., December 31, 2010
By la marite (San Francisco)
|
|
... seems like being ON your legs. I just did my first 10k run in these tights (I wore them only two times before) and honestly, it was obvious that without these tights it would not have been that easy to achieve. Their fit is very compression-like and they actually deserve their name "tight" but that seems to be their secret: they become your second skin and give your legs strength and strength and strength. They also fit very well on the hips because they just have a perfect hight.
I wear them only when it gets below 10 degree Celsius - I cannot tell if they are still warm enough below 0 degrees because over here it does not get that cold. I own the blue-black pair and they look super athletic and sexy - guess, the black one would look similar and I think of buying this one as well.
