About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  You can do better for this price, August 29, 2010
By oldtaku (San Diego, CA United States)
First - all these consumer bikes are made by the same company in China and branded. I've had 7 in the past 10 years from different companies. Reebok, Stamina, Sports Authority house brand, Target... it doesn't matter. They're all the same basic construction, come with the same little shrink wrapped tools, the front and back supports go on the same; I can put these together in my sleep. You can even interchange the parts. The only difference are the computers.

They will all die in 1-2 years if you use them every day.

I use mine 20 miles a day - it doesn't matter if it's a $150 model or a $700 model, they die in under two years. Pulse monitor? Rusts out or breaks in ~4 months. Straps on the pedals? Break in 3-9 months. Plastic drive belt? Minor damage in 6-9 months, fatal damage in 12-24 months that requires replacement, since you can't fix them. These things even come with a warning that if you actually try to use them seriously you could suffer 'severe injury or fatality.' They're cheap consumer crap and they expect you to stop using it and turn it into a clothes rack.

So you might as well get a cheap one with good features and expect to replace it. This one works well enough and is quite quiet, but is lacking several features you'd expect for a $200 model (and I should have checked for first):
* Worst of all, no pedal straps. If your foot ever slips, the pedal goes upside down and you need to come to a halt and resync. After one night of this I just took the pedals I saved off my old ones and used them instead.
* You can't see your speed and distance at the same time.
* The timeout before the computer resets everything if you don't pedal is quite short compared to other models. Need to rush to the kitchen or computer or phone? Better hurry, or at least remember how far you'd gone.
* No drink holder. A little thing, but you'll need something else for your water bottle.
* The base is on the narrow side (there seem to be two common sizes), so if you get serious it rocks from side to side a bit compared to the wider ones.
* If you're 6'(I am) or over, the seat adjusts fine, but the handlebars are then very low. The configuration pictured is for a midget or child.

So this will work for a year till it breaks, but I've had a $150 model from Sports Authority that was much better, and next time I'll remember again what to look for.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very nice bike, very nice price, January 20, 2010
By looking for a good book (California)
I received this bike for a Christmas present. I had asked for it specifically after reading favorable reviews. (and, of course, based on the price!) It was pleasantly easy for my husband and I to put together and I jumped on it right away. The bike is quiet, the seat adjusts from very high to very low, even lower than what I need (I am 5'2"), and it feels sturdy. The battery powered screen has a place for your pulse, calories burned, time, miles, and speed. This bike is quiet enough to sit and watch tv while riding and you can hear your show just fine. My butt did get a little sore from the seat, but I got used to it. The bike is easy to move around with the wheels, however it does stay in place once you put it down. I recommend to anyone looking for an affordable exercise bike.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bike!, May 11, 2009
By Disney Girl (CA, USA)
I purchased this bike based on price range and reviews. The other reviews were dead on and I'm very grateful for their input. The bike was easy to put together and is very quiet. It's nice and sturdy for both me and my husband. I'm very happy with my purchase. It was exactly as advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  V.good exercise bike, December 19, 2009
By Unhappy gardener (Naples, FL)
I needed a stationary bike after a total knee replacement surgery. Decided on this item due to v.good reviews it received on amazon.com. Received the bike in beginning of Dec.'09 and I love it. It works for me well. It's well designed and built. Manual is clearly written and there shouldn't be any problem(s) with assembling this bike.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Everything I expected for the Price I Paid, February 3, 2010
By J. Welch (Westminster, CO USA)
After opening the box, the number of bolts, washers and screws were less than described in the manual. I called customer service and they responded that some assembly is already done and that's why there aren't as many as shown in the manual. So I put the bike together and it was fairly simple. Only one washer didn't match (regular washer versus curved) ... that didn't really matter, it worked.

The performance of the bike is everything I expected it to be. Very quiet which I love! The resistance levels provide a good workout. Note the programs that come with it are more geared toward how fast you are pedaling and it does not control the resistance. You control the resistance with the knob. This is a good product for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Fine bike, could be better, but does its job..., April 8, 2010
By Robert L. Baker III (Tacoma, WA)
The Stamina 5325 does what any exercise/stationary bike should do. I am 6'/255lbs and while I feel this bike holds/supports me no problem, it is a bit wobbly if I ride at a faster pace. Nothing that I worry about, but does concern me for the length of the life of the bike. My wife is much smaller and has no issues. We both agree the seat is fine, but not overly comfortable. Height adjustment is excellent.

My other minor gripes, you have to put it together(which I knew), but it was about 30 minutes of work. It was not necessarily difficult, but there were some steps that were "tricky"(getting the resistance adjuster cord to connect). The peddles are slightly small, and at higher rates tend to flip on you, and they are not double sided, nor do they have straps or a place to attach straps. Also, I was comparing to less expensive bikes, and I am not sure how you can get much cheaper and still feel like you got a quality product. I bought this bike wanting something to give me a good work out, and I feel it does that, but some of the assembly did not make me feel like it was the strongest construction. You are paying a little more for the heart rate monitor, which does seem to work, but I don't use all that much. With that being said, at the $200 price point, I WOULD buy this bike again. I know if sounds like I am complaining a lot, but I am just providing information that I did not see people mention in previous reviews.

If you have a little more money to spend, I would see what an extra 50-100 can get you in features and quality, but I feel that this bike is what you paid for... I would say this bike is good as a starter/light use exercise bike that will make you glad you did not pay more.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best bang for the buck, March 3, 2010
By M. Stevens
I purchased this bike cause I needed a heady duty one (handles up to 300lb body weight) and one that just plain works well with a basic electronic console. The instructions are easy to understand, the console has 6 programs, calorie counter, heart rate monitor, speed and distance and elapsed time. There are 8 resistance levels as well. The bike is solid and built very well and I am impressed since it is a $200 bike but seems built like a $400 one.

I recommend this bike to anyone who wants a well constructed, very very quiet and basic bike that works as it should.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Exercise Bike, March 29, 2010
By rdbdj556 (Norman, OK United States)
My Stamina 5325 by a short, out of shape, fat, woman in her early 40's. I have owned this bike for about a month now. I am riding it 6 days a week and I am slowly building up the time I ride.

Pros:

I am 5'1 and it goes short enough for me.

The seat is wide. Since I was not used to exercising the seat still felt uncomfortable but as time goes on it is feeling better. I have a wide back end too.

The bike is compact and doesn't take up alot of space. I have mine in the living room next to the couch.

It offers pre-programed workouts.

Heartrate monitor built in.

It is quiet. I can watch tv and ride.

Price for a stationary bike it is considered inexpensive.

Easy to put together. I assembled it myself without any help from my husband. My son did have to help hold the bike so I could put the cables together.

Cons:

Honestly, I can't think of any.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  No Customer Sevice Available, February 19, 2010
By Logical (Heartland)
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW March 2, 2010

I would like to update my review to FOUR STARS.
FIVE STARS for the bike and ONE STAR for customer service.

When I received the bike, it was during one of the snow storms.
During shipment, the bike was probably in the cold and damp surroundings.

Now the bike and electronics are WORKING GREAT ...
I suspect the electronics was sensitive to the damp and cold (just guessing)

Also there was a plastic layer over the sensing pads on the handle bar.
Not clear plastic (I'm not that stupid)...it appeared to be part of the sensor.

Bottom Line is the bike works great.
Solidly built and quiet.
Resistance variation adjustment works great.

And most importantly for a correction...The pulse rate detection
is very, very accurate ... right on.

The sensor was working before I removed the plastic coating, so I really believe
the trick is to NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSION ... wait a week for sensor to adapt.

BTW, "jumping to conclusions" and "pressing my luck" was the only exercise
I had before receiving the bike Sorry for misleading with my original review.
But CUSTOMER SERVICE has still not gotten back to me.
Someone should let cust serv know that weather may affect the sensors and THEY could
have told me to wait a week to see what happens.

ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW:
The bike seems very solid and well built.

The problem is the Electronics and Customer Service

1. Customer Service is non-existant.
I went to the web site and left them a question over a week ago and I have not heard back from them.

2. The pulse rate detection portion is intermittent (for more than one user)
In the brief period of time that it is working, the numbers are way off.
The bike reading is 105 pulses per minute and on a medical device that I have the actual reading is 85.

3. The electronic panel data displays numbers/readings across the bottom of the panel and they
do not ALIGN with the silkscreen lettering. It's hard to tell what the numbers represent.

If I had to do it over again, I would have purchased a bike WITHOUT the worthless electonic panel for $50 less
Maybe even a Stamina ... solidly built but then again NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

By the way, yes the medical device is accurate and there is more than one of them all reading the same result

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A nice exercise bike, October 7, 2010
By GamerZ (Virginia)
Since I started riding my mountain bike again, I figured it would be a good time to get a stationary exercise bike so I would not have to ride outside on the very cold or wet days.

Being 6ft tall and weighing about 275 pounds, my first objective in purchasing an exercise bike was to find one with a suitable weight limit since most seem to top out at the 250 pound range. So I decided to give the Stamina 5325 a try since it has a 300 pound weight limit and the price was pretty good.

When I got it, I had the bike put together in about 30 minutes. As some have said in other reviews, the hardest part is attaching the tension cable. But all I did was push down with my thumb on the clip part and the cable slid right in to place.

So I hop on the bike figuring that I would take a 10 mile ride since I do that almost everyday on my mountain bike. I put the resistance on 4 and away I went.
I quickly found out that I would not be doing 10 miles due to the fact that I cannot coast on this bike, haha, so I rode 5 miles non stop. I can say that 5 miles on the exercise bike feels like 10 to 15 miles on my mountain bike which I consider a good thing. So everyday I ride at least 5 miles on my exercise bike, sometimes twice a day. Even on days that I ride my mountain bike.

I have had it just over 1 week and I have to say that I really like it. It is a very sturdy bike, I really figured it would shake all over the place but it doesn't. The handlebars are at a perfect distance for comfort, I have no problems with them at all. The bike it very quiet. Once I started getting a slight noise but it was just the plastic center cover. I tapped the cover with my foot and the noise went away and has not come back yet.

The computer that the bike comes with is simple and does what it is designed to do.
The seat takes a little getting use to. I quickly figured that I could use my padded biking shorts when I ride it and that took care of the butt problem.

Overall it seems to be a great bike but I guess only time will tell how well it is made. Definitley worth the price so far.

*****UPDATE*****

It has been about 11 months since I wrote the review above when I first got the bike. I have been riding this bike almost everyday since then at around 10 to 15 miles a day. The bike is holding up better than I expected. A couple of months ago I got a clicking noise coming from the flywheel but taking the side cover off and moving the plastic piece where the cable goes into the side of the flywheel fixed the problem. I also got a vibration last week but adjusting the same piece fixed the problem. Right now it rides just as smooth and quiet as the day I got it.

So far I have lost 45 pounds since starting. No special diets or anything besides riding this bike and also doing some walking. Hopefully I will be riding this bike for at least another year, but only time will tell. I plan on getting a new road bike within the next year or so and also a trainer but only after I have completely worn this exercise bike out.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Quiet & Smooth Ride - Customer Service Issues, April 26, 2010
By Yve (Oklahoma City OK)
I bought this bike based on the overall good reviews and free shipping. I was pleased to receive the bike 2 days later. It was also packaged well. I got all geared up to spend a few hours assembling the bike but it was missing all the hardware and toolkit. Of course, it was the weekend before I dug it out of the box and customer service is not a 24-7 service. I called them first thing Monday morning and had the hardware shipped...again it was free shipping and it arrived within 2 days. Unfortunately, they only shipped 1/2 of the hardware needed. Another call into Customer Service who told me the bike should have come partially pre-assembled. Wasn't anything "pre-assembled" but I did find "some" of the missing hardware already attached under the seat so I guess that's what they consider "partially assembled...but regardless, it was still missing hardware and another 2 more days out before I completed assembly...which by the way is easy to assemble. You do have to mess with the small nut on the tension cable bracket to get the tension cable in place. The instructions don't tell you that. Overall the bike is smooth and quiet. I really wanted to give the bike itself 5 stars but it failed on the whole customer service issue. Oh, and you will need a gel seat because you'll get some friction between the legs after long rides.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  About what you'd expect, January 23, 2011
By Brian Gosling (St. Louis, MO United States)
My wife and I used one of these for about a year and then the it developed a wobble which in turn threw the belt off kilter which started fraying the belt and on and on and on. Anyway, this was 2 people using it for about 30 - 40 miles a day (total for both of us) and it got through a year of use. I am 6'2 and was comfortable on the bike, so there wasn't really an issue there. I would have gladly ordered the parts (belt, new bearing assembly) but after getting the cover off it seemed pretty clear the bearing assembly was not meant to be removed and replaced, though maybe that was my inexperience or lack of mechanical aptitude. We decided to replace the bike (different make and model, a recumbent, hoping to take some of the stress/weight off the bearings/pedal assembly for a longer lifespan) rather than buy the parts and hope it all came back together correctly. If there are 2 of you that want to use it, I think overall its cheaper and more convenient than a gym membership, but thats how you have to think of this because it will probably give out on you sooner rather than later.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  After researching several bikes, I am convinced this is the best buy for your money!, December 3, 2010
By Brother David (Palestine, Texas)
I am basing my review of 5 stars on value per dollar paid. This is by no means top of the line gym equipment. However, for the price, this is an EXCELLENT buy. I would highly recommend this bike to anyone who is not a multi-millionaire :-)

I am using this bike several times a week, and it's great! No bells and whistles, just a great piece of workout equipment. The stated max weight is 300 lbs, and I think that is pretty accurate. I am 175lbs, and the bike seems very stable and sturdy. The seat is also pretty wide, giving the rider a more comfortable workout.

I also really love the multiple resistance settings. Level 1 will allow you to kick back and get a prolonged slow burn workout while watching a little TV, talking with family, etc. By the way, it is very quiet, which is a nice bonus. The hardest level is very difficult. I love that there is so much variance between the minimum and maximum resistance levels. As far as the maximum workout potential, the top level is more than adequate to give even a trained athlete a great workout.

Keep in mind this bike has no cup holder and the resistance levels have to be changed manually. However, this can be easily done with one hand while continuing to pedal.

Overall, I would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for a sturdy, quality bike with no "extras" for a great price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Very Nice Bike!, August 16, 2011
By Marya (New York)
I have had this bike for 1 month and use it a couple of times a week, usually when it's raining outside (otherwise I'm outside either walking or on a real bike). It is inexpensive but well-made, quiet, stable, and genuinely moveable, on the front wheels. Even bringing it downstairs was not too difficult for me to do, and I am an older woman (in my 60s).

It arrived promptly, within a few days of ordering. It was fairly straightforward to assemble, except for the tension cable hookup that others have written about. To do it the way the instructions say requires monumental hand and finger strength, which I don't have. Doing it that way seemed also an invitation to a serious pinch or even cut on my hands. What I did was I decided to stop being afraid of breaking it and found the little screw behind one end of it, and simply unscrewed it until the cable was loose enough to hook, then re-tightened it as far as it would go. It did not re-screw nearly as far as it had been before I unscrewed it, but my thought was that logically, if it can't go any tighter, it's tight enough. (From reading the other comments, I believe that each separate cable unit may be of slightly different length; mine was just a millimeter or two too short.) Sure enough, it works perfectly fine and I didn't have to either get a guy to do it or get stitches in my hand.

The seat seems comfortable enough if you sit on it for a few minutes, but after 15 or 20 minutes of cycling, ouch. It feels like I am sitting on a 2 x 4. I had the forethought to buy a softer seat, which I had to do on my real bike as well, so now it's just a matter of finding the time to switch them out. It is easily adjustable, as are the handlebars.

The handlebars have sensors for reading your pulse rate if you are doing one of the programs; please note that they are covered with a very fine and very sticky film that needs to be taken off before use. This was literally the most difficult part of the assembly; getting that film off four sensors took almost as long as assembling the whole bike because on my unit, it only scraped off a tiny flake at a time, not in a whole sheet. And you have to be careful not to scrape the underlying surface of the sensor, so it was a seriously frustrating activity.

The computerized display is fine for letting you know how long you've been sitting there, how far you've "gone", how many calories, etc. I only wish it had a backlight, as it's a bit difficult to read in low light.

Bottom line, I can cycle fast or slow, on low or high tension, standing up or sitting down, and the bike is perfectly stable. It is also quiet, so I can watch tv or listen to music. For a relatively low-priced bike, it is just fine for what I need -- mostly exercise indoors during bad weather. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the few things I mentioned -- difficulty with the cable, the hard seat, the pulse sensor covering.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  A decent bike, June 22, 2011
By randomreviewer
After assembly, the bike looks sturdy, works well, and is very quiet. The
only complain that I have is the seat, which is too hard and uncomfortable
for a 20-30 minutes ride.

This is my first time assembling an exercise bike. The assembly is easy with
some catches. I am not a handy person and made some mistakes on the way, but
it took me a little over one hour to put this bike together by myself with
the mistakes. Here are things to be careful about; the assembly is otherwise trivial.

1) The front stabilizer and the back stabilizer are actually different. The back
stabilizer is slightly longer.
2) When connecting the upright with tension knob wire, don't forget to put
the upright sleeve in the upright before connecting the wire.
3) When connecting the tension cable, you will need to pull very hard to the degree
that you may feel that the cable is about to break in order for the metal fitting to go through
the slot in the bracket. I guess it is designed to be like that. Don't be afraid, pull hard!

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Very difficult to assemble., October 12, 2010
By not a happy camper
After 2 weeks, several calls to the manufacturer for assistance, we still have not been able to complete the installation of this bike. The main hangup is to connect the cable that is required to control the level of tension (absolutely essential) and also it is required to connect this cable in order to get feedback on miles, time and vital signs. It appears Amazon would prefer that we return this bike rather than pay someone locally to complete this installation. One of Amazon's requirements is to return the bike in its original packaging...this is not possible because the package was in very poor condition when it arrived and we discarded this a couple of weeks ago.

My conclusion is to not buy a bike this size and weight where you have no easy means of support or no easy means of repackaging all the parts to return the bike.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Not Happy.., February 8, 2011
By Clete D. Berry
I spent 200 on this, and for that much cash i was hoping for something closer to gym quality. This thing is pretty much what you'd get at big 5 for 90 bucks. So far it hasnt fallen apart on me, but i took the batteries out of its useless digital display. The thing just beeps randomly and never shuts off. No foot straps either, which is laughably sad for a 200 dollar bike. Resistance settings are a joke. Seat isnt very comfortable, but i've felt worse. All n all, i feel like i've been ripped off 120 bucks. easily.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Near impossible assembly., May 2, 2011
By J. Bertel (St. Louis, MO USA)
The assembly of this is a bit time consuming. It comes to a screeching halt when you realize the cable end of the tension knob is not long enough to fit inside the bracket. It me over an hour to finally muster the strength and apathy towards breaking the machine to get the pieces to fit. If you set this up by yourself you are in for an unpleasant time. Do yourself a favor and have a friend help.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  6'5", 280, November 8, 2011
By Jacob K
I was pretty hesitant to get this bike because I'm 6'5", 280, and didn't want to spend money on something that was going to fall apart on me after a few uses. I also didn't want to spend several hundred dollars on something I could potentially stop using shortly after getting it. All in all, if put together correctly, this bike is stable even at my weight. The tension cord wasn't very difficult for me to attach, and overall if you tighten things properly it's solid. Sometimes I do HIIT cycling, so I go all out as fast as I can for 30 seconds to a minute, and the bike has never felt wobbly or like it would come apart. Overall a good buy for a compact cycle to ride at home. The seat could be a bit more comfortable though, and the display could be backlit to make it better.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Bike for the price!, July 9, 2011
By Steve D
I purchased this bike on Overstock couple months ago because I had a coupon code. I also got the 2 year replacement as well.

My wife uses the bike and she is very happy. Bike so far works great without any problems. Display is very helpful. Setup wasnt too bad. Tension rod was tough but you'll get it.

Loud noise coming from the main wheel area. "Clunk" noise everytime you turn the pedal around. Tried getting inside but it's one big piece so really difficult to fix. I got it at Overstock with a 2 yr replacement plan and just sent in my paperwork for a credit back.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Exercise Bike, December 25, 2010
By Sandra W. Easley (Bagley, AL)
This bike is easy to use & has features like - speed, distance, calories burned & more. Overall it is a good purchase & my husband & I both use it regularly. The only problem was hooking up the tensioner cable. There is not enough slack & makes it very hard to get the parts together.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Decent bike for the price, December 8, 2010
By Spring Green
The programming makes getting a good work out easy, seat is not as comfortable as a good bike gel seat but tolerable. Works for small people (100lbs, 5'1") and big people (250lbs 6'2").

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Very good product for the money, August 6, 2010
By monsieur (new york)
This is a very good bike for the money. It has a great computer system that gives you work-out programs. Without these, I'd just be pedaling along at minimum speed! The monitor tells you when you're going too fast or too slow based on the program's target rate. It's compact and attractive. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of some little details. I think the handle bars are a little far away for me and I wish they were adjustable. Also, the pedals don't have straps to keep your feet on and it doesn't have a basket or something to put your TV remote or magazine in. But these are frills I guess you have to pay more for!

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Poor Wiring Limits Use to Manual Only, April 26, 2011
By bookdog (Chicago, Il USA)
This looked good in the reviews so we thought it worth a try. Upon assembly (fairly easy) it proved the wire connectors for the computer "top" unit to speak to the "bike" bottom unit were of such poor quality they were sealed on with wax....and did not lock into place despite great care. Thus the top and bottom of the bike(which by the way permits some use by manually adjusting the resistance with a knob) don't communicate, so the bike has largely become an additional clothes hanger in the corner of our bedroom. We found the Stamina help line a fair send-you-parts source, and have replaced one of the cables, though the other is connected so deep inside the bottom crank area it will take considerable time and lots of tools to reach. We've decided instead to donate this to the Goodwill, since now it's been three months and it's been ridden four times. Please do yourself a favor and trade up to a better unit, and if you have this on the way, don't unpack it!...just send it back. Since the basic assembly is in China, the manufacturer may have a tough time tracing this defect down the supplier line and changing over to better wire connectors. On the brighter side, the magnetic resistance bottom end of the bike seems fairly robust and the seat quite comfy.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Difficult to build, resistance faulty, Wasted $$, January 5, 2011
By MarilynMerlot
I purchased this Stamina 5325 bike after reading reviews, and thought to take a gamble on spending less money but possibly getting a usable bike. The shipping was fast, but when I attempted to assemble it, the tension cord (I'm not sure the term) was at least 1.5-2 cm too short so that it was impossible to attach. I could not complete the construction due to the location. It sat in pieces for a couple of weeks while I waited for a replacement. Once received, I was again very disappointed. The original cord was attached at one end inside the pole leading from the base to the handlebars so that only one end needed to be pulled and secured. I did not receive the full tube, only the cord, so that I had to disassemble this product further, and attach the replacement cord. Miraculously, it was built, but the resistance is excessively stiff but somewhat usable....I am not sure if it is due to my faulty equipment or construction technique, but the labor and difficulty made this purchase a huge waste of money. I wanted to sit and pedal while watching TV, and it is so hard to use it is only possible for shorter periods of time. I do not recommend this bike at all.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  It was okay for a while..., September 8, 2011
By sarah
It lasted for about 9 months (used about 3-4 times a week for about 30 minutes each time) but it doesn't hold up. Something inside went "clunk' and that was it. Definitely was not worth the price. With only a 90 day warranty it looks like I will be buying something else..

4.0 out of 5 stars.  One Month In, August 17, 2011
By Jennifer
I read some bad reviews, but I kind of went into it with a goal of using it for 6 months to loose some weight for an occasion and wasn't totally worried about it lasting years and years (yeah, not an exercise junky). That said, I took a chance and have been using it for about an hour a day for a month. Putting it together was not terribly bad, getting the tension cord attached was kind of a pain, make sure you have some needle nose pliers to pull that sucker down to get it onto the hook, I just couldn't do it with my fingers. It's held up well. I noticed after a week or so, it got a little more noisy. A little bit of a soft clacking, almost like it got out of alignment, but since the base is all one piece there's nothing you can adjust. It hasn't gotten worse, so as long as you're not worried about a little bit of noise when you work out, it's done well. Haven't had any issue so far with the "scorekeeper"....I'm giving it a 4 out of 5

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Value, March 30, 2010
By K. Shelton (CA)
Overall I'm very pleased. I wanted a way to exercise in my apartment while my small children are sleeping, so I needed something small, quiet and safe. I'm happy b/c it's very quiet so I can watch tv on a low volume, although now it has become a bit squeaky and I'm not sure where the noise is coming from. It's also very stable- my preschooler likes to climb it and hang from it but isn't able to tip it, and there's no wires or anything to plug in. It did take a long time to assemble b/c it comes in about a thousand pieces. Also, my heart rate monitor doesn't work, but maybe I missed something putting it together. Some one mentioned this, but I think it's good to know that the programs don't change resistance, but it's easy to control resistance yourself, and for me there's plenty of resistance.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very Happy!, February 23, 2012
By terrix2000
I love my bike, it's quiet, easy to use, and amazingly enough my Kindle perches perfectly in the crutch between the reader and the handle (I do have it in a case) I am sure this will make Amazon very happy to know! My husband didn't have any problems putting it together, but he also is a "easy to put together" expert, so he knew about the tension part.

It's smooth, as well. I also do not have to turn up the volume on my TV and there is about a 8 ft distance between the two. For $175, this is the best bike anyone could buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Bike, Great Price, Great Results, May 24, 2011
By Fair Consumer (Long Island, NY)
Just as the title suggest, given the price the bike is a great buy and the benefits of using it are also great. The bike feels very solid and durable, which makes you feel confident about sitting on it. In regards to sitting on it, like most upright bikes the seat is a pain in the butt. It is just the nature of upright bikes and a good proper seat cover will fix that. The resistance settings and seat adjustment make it good for just about anyone. The bike is surprisingly very light, especially since it is built to with stand a 300lbs person. It is easy to move around the design makes it perfect for small confined living spaces or apartments. The computer is nothing amazing but it does do a solid job of logging your time, speed, distance and calories.

I used Amazon.com Prime shipping and the product came next day, delivered from UPS with no damaage and all parts accounted for. The process of putting it all together was very easy. I had it ready to go in less than a hour. In conclusion, for the price and for the results of using it, it is worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Exercising is fun with this bike!, August 27, 2011
By JDubbs
I love this bike and highly recommend it! I used an elliptical before I bought this but I find riding the exercise bike much more enjoyable. It gives you a number of settings, tracks your time/distance/calories, and is very easy to move around because it is not that heavy and cumbersome. I ride my exercise bike while watching TV - it's great!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Quiet and fun to ride, but tension knob is difficult to assemble, May 30, 2011
By jcs
This exercise bike is a great value, giving you quiet, smooth action and a good range of adjustable tension settings at a fraction of the cost of the expensive bikes.

The bike computer worked fine for me, with no problems turning on or off. Be aware that the bike computer cannot increase or decrease the difficulty of your workout -- all it can do is vary the target speed displayed on the screen in order to simulate an uphill/downhill interval-type workout. You're still responsible for fine-tuning your pedaling in order to hit the target speed.

The bike hasn't fallen apart yet although it does seem a bit flimsy, such as in the way that the parts creak and rock from side to side while pedaling. Aside from the creaking, the mechanism is essentially silent.

The biggest problem is an assembly quirk that may cause you to assemble the tension knob incorrectly, causing you to falsely believe that the bike is way too difficult to pedal on the easy setting, or way too easy to pedal on the difficult setting. As the bike comes from the factory, it's impossible to pull the cable assembly tight enough for it to fit into the bracket. In order to get the cable assembly in, you have to carefully turn the nut on the bracket until you can get the cable end in the slot, and then (*without relieving tension on the cable*), restore the nut to the exact place where it was, eliminating the extra slack that you left in the cable in order to get the cable end in the bracket. If you fail to attach the cable to the bracket correctly, or if you fail to restore the nut to its former position, the tension knob won't work properly!

This appears to be a sloppy oversight on the part of the manufacturer, as the assembly instructions do not instruct you to turn that nut for any reason.

My wife and I have used this bike multiple times a week for the last 6 months or so. Has worked well so far and aside from the caps holding the ball bearing in the pedals popping off occasionally it has held up well also. For a sub $200 exercise bike we have been very happy.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid machine for the price, April 19, 2011
By Ladidoddy
I received my bike about a month ago and waited to review it in order to give a fair opinion. The bike was fairly easy to put together. It took my "assembly" partner and I about 2 hours to put it together with the most difficult part connecting the tension rod, which other reviewers have mentioned. As for its performance, the bike gives a smooth ride and it's fairly quiet. I am somewhere between a couch potato and a gym rat but I find the resistance is decent enough to get my heart rate up. My biggest complaint is a lack of pedal straps, drink holder and magazine rack. However, I've learned to be creative to fulfill my needs. I researched a few bikes and I don't regret my purchase one bit.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Stamina 5323: The price fits., February 2, 2011
By Happy Go Lucky
Not a bad exercise bike for the price, but definitely not top of the line either. It has some good features like 8 adjustable tension settings, a monitor with 6 fitness programs and a heart rate monitor as well. I haven't had it that long at this point and it hasn't been used too many times yet, but so far so good as far as I can tell. The bike is very quiet when in use save for a tapping that the right pedal has on and off while in use. I'm not sure if this is considered normal or not since the bike seems to function fine with it, but I guess only time will tell for sure. Aside from that, I bought the bike based on other customer feedback and because I read that it works for somewhat shorter people. I am 5'1" so when the seat is at it's lowest level, it's the perfect height for me.

There are only two things I feel the need to warn others about, one is the on and off pedal tapping, but the main one is actually an issue with assembly.
Connecting the tension cable is extremely difficult since there is little slack in it. There is a spring mechanism and a clip that are attached to each other and the cable has to connect to one and feed through the other (they cannot be moved apart) and we had to loosen the spring in order to get enough give to get the cable to both hook into the spring and clip into the top. This was very hard to do, even when the spring end was loosened. It's not easy to describe, but trust me I was almost ready to give up, but with patience and a hard work, it finally went in after like 20 minutes.

Overall, once you can get the bike fully assembled, based on what experience I have had riding the bike, it's not a bad product for the money, but do be aware of that assembly issue. Once it's together, you should be golden though.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  A good value, November 23, 2010
By Jim
I recently purchased this bike and use it daily. It provides a low impact workout without putting stress on the joints. Assembly was easy and is a good value for the price. The seat adjusts easily up and down depending on your height. The tension control is within reach to quickly add resistance to your workout. Rolling front wheels make it easy to move the bike. The only drawback is the pedals are a little small and your feet have a tendency to slip off when pedaling faster. I recommend this product to anyone looking for good workout.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great exercise bike, October 22, 2010
By Goetz von Berlichingen (Potomac, MD)
This bike is well designed and works well. Compared to old-style friction-type bikes, it is incredibly quiet - so there is no distraction from sound or television. Previous reviews are right on, including on the one drawback: installing the tension wire for the resistance control is not easy - but everything else is. Especially impressive is the bike's high quality, sturdy build, and secure balance. One minor issue: the heart monitor function does not work on my bike. Amazon referred me to the manufacturer's guarantee but offered to give more help should I need it. That issue is work in progress - but it does not interfere with the functioning of the bike. I use it several times a week and enjoy the newfound freedom from the vagaries of traffic, weather, and early darkness outside.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Decent Bike, August 20, 2010
By brittoc
The bike was a little tricky to put together. I have enjoyed it other than the seat is lose. I am not strong enough to tighten the seat. It makes a squeaking noise. I'm not sure if that is from the seat or from a different piece of the bike. The resistance is great, it is a good workout! I haven't messed with the heart rate monitor much but it seems to work. The calories burned measurement seems to be off it consistantly goes up no matter how fast you are going. Overall it is a good bike for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  nice and quiet, July 30, 2010
By Paul
The bike shipped very quickly. Assembly was easy, I just needed help carrying the base. The bike is very quiet, I can watch TV while biking on my normal volume setting. The dial for resistance is great, there's a big range of tensions for when you get stronger. There is a pulse monitor on the handles, but I do not use them, I don't think it is too accurate. The bike is compact, doesn't take up a lot of space. The device that counts calories burned, your speed, distance etc. is very helpful to keep track of your progress.

My only negative feed back is how tall the seat is. I have it on the lowest setting but I wish it came down a half inch to an inch shorter. I am however, only 4'10.

So far no problems, I use it almost every day. I think it's a great purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Love it!!, March 29, 2010
By historical and paranormal roma.. (Pennsylvania)
I've been riding workout bikes since my son, whose now 25, was born. This bike was my third. And it is just awesome! I can now watch tv without having to blast the volume, in fact, I can keep the volume at a normal level. The ride is smooth and quiet compared to my last bike. And I feel I'm getting a better workout. I can also reach the pedals comfortably--and I'm a shortie, just 5 feet tall.

All I can say is, this is the best workout bike I've ever had!

I received my item on time, less than a week. Package undamaged and all pieces accounted for. The bike is very sturdy and looks like it will last awhile. It took 2hours to put together by myself, its quiet which is good i'm on the second floor. Well worth the buy and the weight limit is up too 300 pounds. This is good for those looking for a exercise bike.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Fantastic!, March 5, 2011
By Ria
I love it! I have been trying to lose weight and seen no progress for months ( mainly due to the fact that I had not been spacing my meals out properly). Anyway, with an adjusted eating schedule & from 1 to 2 hours exercise in the evening, I have started losing weight again. It is a good work out, at least until I am confident enough to join a gym. It does shake a bit and you have to retighten some of the bolts every so often, but worth it. Great price! This was my first time buying an exercise bike, looks like I made the right decision. I love how it keeps track of my calories burned and how much time I have been on ( not quite sure what the other numbers are. Lol). Anyway, it works for me!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great buy for the money, February 20, 2011
By Giancarlo
Overall it is extremely sturdy and well put together. I returned the first bike I received because the pedal mechanism made noise. The exchange was super fast (next day) and easy. The new bike arrived and was set up within 15 minutes, very easy to set up. I bought the bike for my dad who is blind and needs a stationary exercise machine. I was very concerned that it may tip over because he puts all his weight on it whenever mounting and dismounting. The bike doesn't move an inch..it's rock solid. The only complaint I have is the seat is a bit on the hard side and is so big that it's hard to find a gel cover for it. Otherwise, it's very quiet and solid. For 200 bucks it's a score and a must buy.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  great bike, lousy computer, February 17, 2011
By B. Tylutki
Before I get too far, let me say that the bike itself is solid. its quiet enough for me to ride in the bedroom in the morning without disturbing my wife while she sleeps. It fits my frame (i am 5'10) and my wife (she is 5'1). its a little shaky when you really start moving, but until you are approx 20+ mph its great. the footprint is small. the seat is uncomfortable, but its not the worst. not many bike seats are comfortable...

my problem is the computer. it has never really worked right. I have never used the pulse meter so I will not comment on it. The mph calculator is all over the place. at times it is very accurate, but often it will either drop to zero and then shut off, or it will read that I am riding at well over 30mph (sorry, i am not that fast...lol). the timing has the same problem. at times its great, but the action is so spotty that I cant rely on it (i used a watch attached to the handle). I thought it was the batteries (it does run through them fast...why cant the cycling motion generate the electric anyhow...think about it stamina...) but no dice. I thought maybe the connection came loose and I unscrewed the computer, but that was fine too.

Now, I ride for 60-75 minutes. I would like to use the preset programs, but without being able to measure the speed, the time stops and the program becomes useless. I will continue to use this bike, but only because I can no longer return it to Amazon (got it for xmas, and the return window was over on jan 31).

To sum up, great bike but an absolutely terrible and frustrating experience with the computer. my next step is to try and hook up a cheap bike computer somehow...

if anyone else has run into these problems and can suggest anything, please let me know. I would have given this bike a 5 star review with a better computer.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Quality Stationary Bike, January 8, 2011
By Ryder
I needed to keep up with my bike riding during the winter months. After an extensive search I found this to be one of the best units based on testimonials and excellent price. Assembly instructions were very good. However you will need to be fairly mechanically inclined for a successful assembly. Have patience and take your time. Attaching the sensor cable requires a little more work than described in the instructions. When complete, you'll have a great piece of equipment.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great product, good price, easy to assemble, December 16, 2010
By D. King (Somers, CT)
I just received this exercise bike tonight. It was really easy to assemble (took about an hour) and it looks great, especially for the price. I already had my first workout and am very pleased with the low noise level and the smoothness of the pedaling. Another added benefit is that it is very easy to move. I put it in the living room so I can ride and watch TV. I wanted to see how easy it would be to tuck out of the way when company comes, so I placed it on a small rug and it just slides across the wood floor effortlessly.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  simple, quiet, and safe. I love it!, December 2, 2010
By Meihsiu Chen
I got this bike about 3 weeks now, and I was waiting to see how do I like this bike before I write the review. It turns out I love it. Here are the three reasons.

Simple: Nothing fancy with the functionality, but enough for home user like me needed some exercise to help strengten knees.

Quiet: It doesn't use any AC power, and only needs battery for the monitor. It is super quiet! I put the bike by the sofa and can watch TV during the ride without turning up the TV volumn.

Safe: The paddles stop moving at the moment I stop paddling. The bike's structure is complete covered and sturdy. I am not worried about my 2-year-old toddler is near the bike, or even climb and sit on the base of the bike.

Even better, it is a great deal too.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Excercise bike, November 16, 2010
By mstng87gt
I was a little concerned about buying an exercise bike based on most reviews unless you spend upwards of $500. This one had excellent reviews except for the cable. I personally had no problems with the cable and had it on in about 20 seconds. For anyone worried about it there is an adjustment nut to loosen or tighten the cable. Just loosen it a little bit until you can get the cable connected. The bike has been working great and is very comfortable. I do wish the screen was lit as its a little darker where I have the bike in the basement.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Easy set-up and quiet, November 15, 2010
By CarriH
Purchased this bike because I had never owned a stationary bike and I didn't want to spend too much money. The Stamina 5325 seemed like the best buy with the most reliable quality. The set-up was very easy (at least my husband didn't complain)and the product seems like it's very high quality. The best thing about this bike is how quiet it is. You can easily watch TV or listen to music while exercising. An excellent purchase and I'm very pleased with the overall quality.

By steven reierson
Have had the bike, for over two months. It's very quite, can watch my tv with out any noise. Was a little tricky to put together, but managed it. Stamina, could have better instructions. I still gave it 5 stars, with it being quit and being very study to sit on. The only real negative is the seat, which is to hard. I bought a gel seat cover, to remedy that.

By AJEaston
My husband assembled this bike on his own in less than an hour. I use it every day for at least an hour. I think this bike is an awesome value and haven't been disappointed. My only complaint is the SEAT. My butt was sore for three days after using it the first time. I am getting used to the seat now, but I am still thinking of getting a gel seat because that is the only thing that seems to hinder my workouts.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Bike, Great Customer Service, August 18, 2010
By johnson (los angeles, CA usa)
This is an outstanding exercise bike for the money you pay. Sure, you could get a fancier one if you were willing to pay $500-$2000, but for only $200 you really can't ask for a better product. This bike delivers everything the company advertises: easily adjustable resistance, heart rate monitor, etc. One step in the assembly process (connecting the internal tension wire) can be a little tricky, but anyone with a little mechanical intuition should be able to get it up and running within an hour. I have to compliment the customer service as well...2 months after buying, the computer that gives you speed, dist, etc broke. I was expecting an annoying process to get it replaced, but all I had to do was fill out a simple form online and it got replaced with "no questions asked". The replacement arrived within a week. I would strongly suggest purchasing this particular bike rather than another of similar price.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  This is a perfect bike at reasonable price, July 29, 2010
By Gianfranco Duina (Little Rock, AR, United States)
It took me less than an hour to unpack, free each item from its personal protection, and assemble the bike, following the very clear instruction (by the way, it's written in English, not Chinglish). Every component is very well built, with very good materials. All the tools you need are provided with screws and bolts. The exercising position is excellent, the pedals offer a very smooth resistance, it is silent, the display offer clear info about the many data that are available. The bike has wheels to move it around, very easily.

I cannot understand how it is possible to sell such an excellent device for only $200.

I have only a minor complaint. The adjustment for the saddle height is very sturdy and designed to last, but not very easy to use. If the bike is used by two persons of different height (like husband and wife), it is a pain.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great exercise bike, July 15, 2010
By W. Aldridge (Portland, OR)
I bought this bike based on the favorable reviews and I could not be more pleased with it. It was dead simple to assemble and it has the quality that you would expect in a much more expensive bike. It looks and feels like a precision machine, smooth and silent, and it takes up practically no room at all in my bedroom. For the price I doubt there is any competition for this bike whatsoever.

As to customer service, when I first set it up I thought it was missing a part, so I called the customer service number immediately. I was soon connected to a very pleasant woman, (apparently North American no less), and explained the situation. She sent out the missing part by mail and I received it within a few days. By then I realized that the part had been there after all and had just rolled under my bed.

For less than [...] bucks and free shipping you cannot go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Quality!!!, June 28, 2010
By majones
The bike is wonderful!!!! The package arrived the day after I ordered it and my husband and I were able to asssemble the bike in under an hour. As other reviewers have stated, the bike is incredibly quiet when in use. You get a great workout and are able to hear your iPod or TV without any problems. There are even six program levels dependent upon your fitness goals and the monitor displays your speed, distance, calories burned, time, etc. For $199, you could not ask for a better piece of exercise equipment. You will not be sorry you purchased this bike.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Stationary Bicycle, March 27, 2010
By L. Boen
Great bike! I read all of the positive reviews before buying it and they were right.. This bike is very easy to put together, is very quiet and very sturdy. I use it in our upstairs bedroom and it cannot be heard from below.. I can easily watch TV or listen to the radio without any bike noise. The ride is very smooth and the seat is comfortable. I highly reccomend this bike. It is a great value for the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Everything as advertised, March 26, 2010
By Bob (southwest PA USA)
This is a great bike for the price. It is sturdy, easily put together, and its computer diagnostics are right on target. I am very happy with this product. Oh, I should mention that the seat does not "cramp" as you would expect from those very thin bicycle seats. It is roomy and comfortable.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Stamina 5325 defective, December 17, 2011
By Puzzle lover (San Diego, CA USA)
I received this, assembled it and it made a screeching sound when I tried to pedal. Pedaling was also almost impossible. Clearly, a defective product and I am returning it.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  perfect for the price, February 9, 2012
By macsmom
needed something moderatley priced to get me thru the winter, bored with my dvd's and not much of a gym person. The bike is small enough to fit in any room, the resistance is great and was easy to put up, my kids are even using it. Perfect for what I wanted.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Getting in shape again, January 29, 2012
By JenDaq
After the holidays I needed to get in shape again after gaining 8 pounds--too many treats and not enough exercise--and I knew I needed a piece of equipment that I could use indoors and that would fit in my small bedroom in front of the television. The reviews I read for the Stamina 5325 Magnetic Resistance Upright Exercise Bike were mostly favorable, so that sold me. Ordering was easy, shipping was fast. Assembly was easy too--I got someone else to do it, and it took about an hour. Although it does not have many bells and whistles compared to more pricey models, it had the features I wanted--it doesn't use electricity, it doesn't take up much room, it's quiet so you can watch TV without turning up the volume, it's a great price, it's sturdy but light enough to move to the corner if I want more space, and most importantly it gets the job done--three weeks later my legs (especially thighs) are firmer and trimmer, and the fat around my waist (where I gained all my weight) is melting away. You can use light hand or wrist weights if you want to tone your upper body while you're cycling. One caveat--the seat is wide but very hard and uncomfortable, so I had to put folded towels on it until I bought a 12 inch gel seat, which solved the problem. Now I can happily cycle away for an hour at a time with no butt pain. The control panel is very rudimentary--I haven't learned how to use all the features except calories burned and distance (all I want to know right now anyway)--but that's what you get for the low price. It uses two AA batteries so you don't have to plug anything in. Overall I'm very happy with this bike--as I said, no frills, but gets the job done. I look forward to the spring when I can wear shorts again and reveal my toned legs!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  I feel the workout, January 26, 2012
By Al
The fact it has a timer you can set, and each time break your own record, the way it tells you how you're burning your calories and the other measurements, it sure is a great machine, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to do some nice workout at your home, and it barely takes any space. Great stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent merchandise, January 23, 2012
By camy
I am impressed with this bike. My son helped me put it together and he only had a slight problem at the end. We worked together at that point. I remembered it being mentioned that it might take two people at the ending of the assembly. It is an excellent value and works as well as any expensive excercise equipment. Also, the seat is comfortable. I am very pleased and would reccomend this bike to others.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  OK for the price, but has it's flaws, April 11, 2011
By B (Reading, PA)
I purchased this 1 month ago, and my wife an I use it almost every day (20-30 mins each at least). It was fairly easy to assemble, and just as easy to operate.

The "computer" is basic and doesn't automatically adjust the tension with the preset programs - it just beeps to tell you to switch I guess. Not sure I trust the heartrate monitor. If you let go of either sensor pad then it stops monitoring and you have to hit the main button to have it start again. This is annoying if you want to change the tension, grab a bottle of water, or change the TV channel. You then have to wait at least one round through the readouts until it catches up and displays your "actual" heartrate.

The ergonomics is set up for someone short - I'm 5'-7" and it's uncomfortable to keep my hands on the handlebars for the duration of a 30 minute workout because I am then so hunched over my back starts to hurt. They could add some grab bars to the seat so you can sit more upright if you so desired.

The seat is not well padded at all. My legs felt like they were going numb after 40 minutes. A gel seat cover is highly recommended. And the adjustment of the seat height does gets a bit annoying when switching between the setting for my wife and the setting for me - minor gripe.

The biggest complaint is that after a week it started making clunking noises. I contacted Stamina direct, and they indicated it was most likely the bearings. Theysent me a "returned" base unit in a week. So far so good. So the silver lining is that customer support was responsive and frienly.

If it lasts a year it will be worth the $200.

This product met my expectations and then some. It's great! Easy to use and very quiet. It's lightweight enough to move from room to room. Everyone in the family uses it, and we like it so much that we bought one for my parents as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very pleased!, June 21, 2010
By Aryeri Batista (WV)
Love it. Very quiet and great in front of the TV. I do 20 minutes in the morning when my husband is sleeping and it doesn't bother him. Very sturdy and even on the carpet stays firmly in place. It doesn't have the cheapy looking some other does. The seat is wide and confortable. Give it a try, especially if you have the Prime delivery.

Good value bike. Not horribly over priced and gets the job done
Best part of the bike is that it can fit someone e who is 5ft tall and someone who is 6ft. Seat can be hard to adjust though.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  VERY HAPPY, April 16, 2012
By G. Jentz
Item arrived promptly and was as advertised. Assembly was easy...one cable was a little hard to install as reviewed, but was eventually overcome. The bike functions as advertised and is a pleasure to work out on. The seat is large enough to accomodate even large tushes. My only problem is to get the time exercised clock to display constantly! I am very happy with purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Exercise bike, April 10, 2012
By jul
I was pricing out many bikes. I wanted something reasonable in price but that could do more than just ride. This bike has 6 different programs. It is very quiet. I can use my book rack to read if I wish. It was, for the most part, easy to put together. I just had a little trouble with attaching the cable for the resistance. The seat also isn't the greatest. It would be better if you could have the front part in a more dependent position. But all in all I really like it. Found out my stepper is a Stamina also and I luv it.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Stamina 5325, April 3, 2012
By RollTideGrl
This bike itself is overall good. It was pretty easy to assemble--and it came in about 8 pieces. I think it took about 20 minutes. The computerized screen seems cheap and we could not get it to actually work with a workout. It would check your pulse on ocassion, but the not time or give you distance or calories burned. I guess that isn't really a big deal though if you are going along with a video though. The seat seems harder than a typical seat does and I feel like it should go lower. I am 5'7" and at the lowest setting a have to slightly lean from side to side to full extend my leg. It isn't really a bother, but if you are shorter than that, I imagine it would be. It is very quiet, which is nice since I live in an apartment. For the price, I feel like it is great.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Stamina 5325 Magnetic Resistance Upright Exercise Bike, March 31, 2012
By mos75
I ordered the Stamina 5325 Magnetic Resistance Upright Exercise Bike on March 28, 2012 and paid extrea to have it delieved by Saturday March 31, 2012. It came March 30, 2012 (Friday). I am impress by how fast Amazon shipped the product to my house. I glad it arrive earlier so I could began working out. I spent two hours put it together and when I tested it out, it didn't work. When I tried to pedal it was making screeching noises. It appear, the bike shipped to me is defective. I have to contact the manufacture on Monday to have another shipped to me. It's really frustration to have Amazon deliver the bike before the acturally deliver date, only to have the bike not work. Stamina Inc. need to improve their quality standards if they want customers to continue to buy their products.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great piece of exercise equipment!, March 27, 2012
By Nunya Bizness
This is a fanatastic piece of exercise equipment at a great price. Built very sturdily, easy to put together, and works very well. This shipped fast, and the price was great! I am 6'4 and weighed 350 when I started using this just a few weeks ago. I am now down to 330, and know that I can do it on this bike. Unlike cheaper made bikes, this one does not feel like its going to fall apart under me. The resistance and computer really work. Only con is that while the seat is wide and sturdy, it is rather uncomfortable, and your butt will be sore after 30 minutes on this thing. Buy the gel seat pad, its owrth the few extra bucks it costs, and at this price, you can afford to get it.
