The patented CW-X Support Web bands together the muscles and ligaments of the lower leg to stabilize the knee and reduce vibration for increased efficiency. The CW-X Support Web also harnesses the midsection, supporting the lower abdominals, hips and back to channel power through the core. Variable compression facilitates circulation during and after activity, minimizing lactic acid build-up so that you can be active longer and recover faster. Six reflective flash strips and reflective logo provide 360-degree visibility for nighttime activities. The flat seam construction eliminates abrasions, increases comfort, and enhances fit. Other features include abdominal and back panels for extra support, reflective "flash" and logo for extra visibility at night, a key pocket, and double-reinforced waistband with flat-draw cord. Targeted SupportThe patented CW-X Support Web technology mimics kinesiology-taping techniques that trainers apply to injured muscles. When this technology is applied to muscles and joints it creates an exoskeletal support system that improves biomechanics during motion. The CW-X Support Web provides Targeted Support to key areas, decreasing muscle oscillation and focusing power so your muscles work more efficiently. Variable compression along the web facilitates circulation, minimizing lactic acid build-up and muscle soreness, so you can be active longer and recover faster.

Fits tight the first time... don't be discouraged, January 8, 2011
By tjh1279 (Mtn Home, Ar)
|
|
I ordered these tights for myself as a Christmas present since my husband never knows what to get me and he just wants to give ourselves a dollar limit- lol. Well, I have been eyeing these for a long time but just couldn't bring myself to pay the price until Christmas came along as an excuse to indulge, and I am so glad I did! After you put them on 2-3 times, they are easier to get on. For some reason, the first time putting them on is a little bit of a challenge, and they actually felt too tight the first time. Let me just say also that I fell in the gray area on the sizing chart between extra small and small so I ordered "small." The first night I tried them on in the house I wore them around for an hour or so and I was disheartened by the fit, thinking I would have to send them back and get the medium... however, my husband encouraged me to keep them since, according to the sizing chart, I ordered the correct size. He said "they won't do what you are paying for them to do unless they fit you tight against your muscles." So, I threw caution against the wind and cut the tags off the next day when I went running after work with my best friend. That day when I put them on, they seemed to glide on easier and felt snug, but not too tight. I have since then wore them about 3 more times and they go on easy and feel like a great fit now. Running in them is a treat! I look and feel like a real runner and the support is amazing for preventing fatigue. I have only done shorter runs in them so far, 4-6 miles, but I can't wait to do a longer run in them to see how I feel. (The most I have ever done is a half marathon... I am usually just a casual runner 3 times a week to keep myself in shape... not too serious about doing marathons, although I think these tights would be a tremendous running tool in your marathon quests.)
I loved mine so much, I ordered my best friend a pair for Christmas in the "pro" series. She was thrilled to get them and we both look pretty good in them if I do say so myself! They make you look at least a size smaller since they seem to hold all the jiggly parts in place extremely well! Yes, even runners have jiggly parts, (especially if you are a 49 year old mother of 2 like me.) So bottom line, if you are a serious runner or even a not-so-serious one, I think you will not be disappointed if you order these as part of your running wardrobe. I am thinking of ordering the insulated ones now for extremely cold runs.
I have only one complaint regarding the drawstring around the waist: it ravels out on the ends. I have tied knots in the ends but they still ravel out in the wash. I have washed mine 4 times now and they still look and feel new, with this exception. I never put them in the dryer, just hang them on a hanger to dry. So, I would rate them 5 stars if it weren't for the drawstring problem I am having. I wouldn't let that keep me from ordering them again, though. Bottom line, a great product and worth every cent in my opinion, and don't send them back after only trying them on one time... give it 2 or 3 tries before you decide about the fit. My friend said the same thing about hers, too. We plan on still running when we are in our 70's! Good luck and keep running!

Super-heroine tights, February 28, 2009

Knee problems prevented me from running and walking as much as I liked. These tights are great - you feel like Superwoman. Stabilizes your back and alongside both knees -- made me feel 25 again! Well worth every penny - I will be buying the summer version when it gets warmer.

wonderfully designed, January 30, 2009
By Anna Marie Nagai (Las Vegas, Nevada USA)

These tights are serious sports apparel and are wonderful for exercise with weights or with exercise machines. They offer wonderful knee support during arduous spinning classes or outdoor cycling as well. They stay in place no matter what physical exercise a person does. They fit beautifully.
They wear very well, even if worn everyday for exercise. Just wash them in Woolite and hang to dry. They retain their shape. Ready to wear as soon as dry.
They are also pretty, and can be worn to casual stores and restaurants after exercise. So, it makes them super convenient, practical sports clothing in a casual living environment.
If you exercise very seriously often, they are the best.

Fantastic Athletic Tight, February 27, 2009
By Ron (Forest, VA)

I bought the CW-X Stabilyx tights for my wife after getting a pair for myself. They are absolutely great for both running and for other outdoor activities. We just got back from a ski/snowshoeing trip to the Colorado mountains, where we used the CW-X tights as a base layer. Performed fantastically! Provided good support to lower back and the quads - both of which get a vigorous workout when skiing and snowshoeing in the mountains!!

Awesome Pants!, November 4, 2010
By MistyW
|
|
These CW-X running pants exceeded my expectations! I was originally looking for running pants I could wear under my shorts just to keep my legs a little warmer as it cooled off. After reading several reviews, I decided to give these a try, even though they are quite pricey. I do have problems with my lower calf/achilles getting tight and sore after and during running. On long runs (10+ miles) I get knee fatigue as well. So I thought if the stability in these pants could help, why not try them! I got them 3 days before a half marathon. I wore them on one eay 4 mile run and loved them! I wore them under shorts but after I saw how they "sucked" my butt and thighs in, I decided to try them without shorts. I am not one to run around in spandex at all but these pants help me feel secure! There is no "jiggling" when I wear these pants and while I'm a size 7/8, they make me feel like a size 4! Past the vanity issues, the really hug the key running muscles to help them feel supported. I wore them for my half marathon, which started out at 42 degrees. By the end of the race, it was near 65 degrees and I did not get hot or cold once. They have the perfect balance of warmth and air circulation/wicking. Through out the race, my legs felt the normal fatigue of a half marathon but not once did I get the sore, achey feeling that I sometimes have. My knees weren't sore the next day! As for recovery, it's hard to tell if they helped or not. I have gotten to the point in my training that recovery doesn't ever take longer than 24 hours after a half marathon. One down fall of the pants is more my fault then the pants. After the race, I noticed I had sort of a blister/run at the base of the pant leg, on the back of my ankle, kind of where the seam is for the pants. However, after I got looking more closely, it was where the top of my sock and the bottom of the pants met and the running motion caused them to "pinch" together. If I had shorter or taller socks on, or even pulled that pant leg up just slightly, it wouldn't have happened. I've worn the pants several times since then and have not gotten another blister. Just remember this if you wear short, ankle socks with these. Overall, these are great pants and totally worth the investment if you're a distance runner or wanting to become a more serious runner!

Outstanding Compression Tights, October 14, 2010
By M. Alvarado (Philadelphia, PA)
|
|
I ran my first official 5K run a few weeks ago, and I noticed this fellow runner wearing the CW-X compression pants. I asked her what company made them and she gave me rave reviews. I bought them in a Size Small (they are true to size). I swear by them and won't ever wear any other kind of compression tights. The panels on the pants are designed to support your shin, knee, quads and hamstrings. They are not too tight, and can be put on like a pair of pantyhose (it's actually the best way to put them on since you have to align the shin and knee protective panels to your knee before you completely pull up the pants.
The pants give you support, protection, and I swear they improved my PR when I used them to run further 5K practice runs by myself and with my husband/trainer. The inside pocket makes for a nice pocket for your keys. It also has an inside drawstring that helps you pull them up. That's an added bonus, since they're a little hard to put on the very first time.
After the necessary adjustments to the knee position and hamstring panels, I did my stretches and started my run. It's been a great addition to my running/cycling gear. My husband used it to ride his bicycle last weekend and came home very impressed. He has arthritis in the knee and couldn't stand on the bike while pedaling, but all that changed with the CW-X compression tights. I highly recommend this product. Get more than one though, because you'll want to wear them for everyday, normal activities like going to work (which I do every day to help my ACL injury heal, by the way, the injury I received when NOT wearing my CW-X's.

Good investment!, September 20, 2010
By Guielsa Gonzalez (New York, NY United States)

Like other people, I also checked a thousand reviews before investing the money and decided to give these a try. I am a recreational runner training for her first marathon and I have develop a few injuries on my left leg, from hip flexor problems to shin splints (yeah, I need a new left leg). Because of that, I was looking for something to help me get through the training and the marathon. Last weekend I did my first run with them, a 10 miler, and I have to say I felt better during and after the run. Usually by the end of my scheduled distance I am barely able to finish. This time, I was able to increase my speed at the end of my run and finished in less than my usual time. Also, I don't feel as stiff or sore after, which is a very good improvement. So I surely recommend to give these a try. Another major concern I saw on the reviews was the sizing. I went by the chart and even though I was a little skeptical it was accurate. I am 5'5, 170 pounds (more muscular than flabby) and 30" inseam and the medium fit perfect. Total honesty, you have to take your time to put them on but once they are in place they are comfortable.

Supportive and Fast, But Not for Long Runs IMO, January 9, 2010
By Angela (Bellevue, wa)
|
|
I bought these tights because we'd been having really cold weather that was interfering with my comfort of running outside for long periods of time. I'm 6' and 170, so on the outer edge of probably what should work for size large, and I do have issues getting them stretched out appropriately so that everything fits where/how it should.
That said, once in place, the tights are comfortable and supportive, and look great. I do run a bit faster wearing them, especially uphill. My one complaint is that because the material is shiny/slippery, you can't successfully wear a hydration belt with these tights (or at least I haven't been able to). The belt rides up almost instantly, even if it is placed over shirt fabric over the tights. So, I have designated them for runs of less than 5 miles, when I don't want to bring water/gels.

Great tights, November 28, 2009
By Vinasdottir (Charleston, SC USA)

This is my second pair of these tights. They fit well although are more difficult to put on than ordinary tights. They support muscles well. This weight is fine for mildly cool weather but the heavier version would be better for when/where it is really cold.

These tights are great! They provide excellent support & eliminate all leg/rear end bounce. I'm 5'3 and weigh 125- the size small fits perfectly. My only disappointment was that it took 2 weeks to get them.

Ouch! So much pain., June 8, 2010
By S. Roman (Vancouver Island, Canada)
|
|
After looking at several positive reviews, I decided to get these tights for running. The first day I used them, I developed such bad cramps in my calf muscle that I limped back home. The second time, I wore them I develop a rash caused by the material rubbing. In any case, I had to return the tights costing me $17.95 to ship them back. I would not recommend these tights and would suggest buying the tensor bandages instead to wrap the problem area (for me it was the knee) It is much cheaper and much more comfortable.

Great, but a bit short for tall gals!, February 11, 2010
By L. Griffin
|
|
I love these tights - they are definitely worth the money! They provide excellent support and are true to size. They are snug, but that's what compression tights are supposed to be. I wore them while running a marathon last weekend and my legs felt great both during and after. I was amazed at how fresh my legs felt after this distance - none of the usual soreness in the quads or calves. They wash well and keep their shape/elasticity well (I use cold water in washing machine/hang dry with no issues). My only complaint with these tights is they are a bit short for tall gals. I'm 5'9" 140 lbs and ordered a Medium per the sizing chart, but they run a bit short for me between the knee and crotch. Tends to feel like they are an inch or so hanging down from the crotch, which is annoying. If you pull them up where they are comfortable in the crotch, the support bands for the knee are up across the the kneecap. I wish they came in TALLS! Ordering up a size wouldn't be good as I'm afraid they'd lose the compression benefits.

Jiggle-free :), September 3, 2011
By average joe (Honolulu, HI)
|
|
After reading reviews I decided to take the plunge with these. They are great (you hear enough about that in the other reviews) but here are the answers to some questions I had before I bought them...They pull up high enough on the waist to avoid the muffin top effect. They are a little thin in the buttocks (the material itself is thin there) so I'm still a little jiggly there but I have a pretty small butt for my size so maybe if it were bigger they would hold better. I have pretty big thighs, however, and feel very confident and comfortable running in these. I am 6' and 160lbs so I was worried they might not be tall enough (a complaint I read in other reviews) but they fit perfectly (I wear a 33" inseam). With all that being said I bought another pair so I don't have to wash them all the time and am really happy I did. The only thing I would change in the material thickness in the booty to avoid seeing cellulite. Hope you get 'em and have fun running/walking/sleeping in them!

Yes! If you are thinking about it, order them!, July 7, 2011
By skyblue21 (Santa Monica, CA)
|
|
It feels like you are getting a massage while running. I was also a skeptic regarding these pants. I bought these for a long hike up Mt. Rainier. I figured it would be worth the investment (I paid about half retail-$53). I wore these instead of thermals, and they kept me warm in alpine climbing in July, even though I did not order the Insulators. I think you will be fine with the regular pants if you are running in 3 seasons... maybe just not in mid-winter.
A note about sizing: I went back and forth on whether to buy the S or XS, since I fell into either category on the overlapping chart. I am 5'3'' and about 118-120lbs. I have a curvy bum that bubbles out in a K.Kardashian sort of way, as well as curvy hips. I wear a size 4 pants, but I usually wear size S with regular leggings. I don't usually wear XS, but based on other reviews, I went ahead and ordered the XS....
So when I first went to try them on, I thought for sure they were too small, and I would have to exchange them for a S. But I remembered people saying you have to wear them in. And sure enough, I slowly pulled them up, and matched up the knees, then "shimmied" my way into them. And to my surprise, they fit nicely. They are snug, but in a way that feels like a nice massage. I felt them working immediately, and I am glad I got this size to ensure the compression will last longer for me.
If you are in the gray zone, then I suggest going a size down.
This was definitely a good investment!

Great Product!, June 8, 2011
By Lauren coll

|
This is the second pair of CW-X Stabilyx tights that I have purchased and I am delighted with the result. I am in my late 40s and run about four times a week for three miles. I found that this product not only provides support for my knees, calves and thighs, but it also has gotten rid of all leg pain that I used to feel after a run. I also had a great experience with the company. For some reason, the first pair of thights which I bought got a small hole in the material in the thigh area eight months after I purchased the tights. I am 5' 5" at 108 pounds and purchased a small. There was no reason for this to happen based on the company's sizing chart. I explained this to their warranty department and they quickly exchanged the old pair for a new one. My experience with the company was excellent and the product works as promised. It has truly made a difference in how far I can run, how long I can run, and how I feel after I'm done. I have recommended these tights to all my friends as they are far better than any other running tights you can purchase. I will continue to purchase these tights for as long as they make them. Great product!

Great Investment, December 19, 2010
By Lynn Usack
|
|
I was skeptical any pants could make a difference in the cold, but I've never bought these kind of tights before. They are hard to get on and off, but I guess they have to be to provide the support they do once they are in place. I know I bought the right size, even went one up since my weight/height was in the gray zone, but I do wish they were easier to get on and off, that's probably not possible otherwise they wouldn't give the support they do. They feel fine once in place, and even at my age and the cold we are suffering around here (more like mid-Jan weather than Dec!), they really provide so much natural warmth, I am amazed at how good my legs feel when using them. They balance out the heat and cold so I don't have to even think about it. And they provide the support to my legs that I need so that after a longer run, they feel great, less fatigued for the run. A great investment!

Great support for workouts, February 16, 2010
By Trudy Bentley Rech, fine artist (Naples, Florida)

This is the second CW-X Stabliyx product that I bought. My other pair is actually the shorter version which extends to the mid calf. I need compression wear when working out to help stabilize my knees. These tights do that and more. They are well engineered to provide support for the core muscles. The strategically placed support helps make warming up more effective. I like them for power/speed walking. These tights are even better than the shorter version for giving me effective support exactly where I need it when pushing myself on a treadmill or while outdoors. They also provide the appropriate support for the other part of my work out activities: free weights. Great product.

The tights are pretty good. I didn't run any faster than usual, but I actually sweated in 28-degree F weather and no cars hit me (I run at 5 am). I would recommend these as a good base layer in super cold weather and by themselves on chilly days.

I ran a marathon in these. they were probably one of the main things (besides a gret diet program the week before) that got me through the race. I didnt notice my muscle pains till almost mile 20 and even then it was only because I made an effort to think of them. I will definetly buy more tights from CW-X.
updated my review, 30 miles was a typo. why would I lie about a product?

Good support, March 12, 2011
By Sharon O.

I purchased these tights because a friend thought I might like them. She did not get the stabliyx, however. I have issues with my knees so I thought the stabliyx would be better for me. I must say that I can run without my knee supports when I wear them, but the best support I feel is in the lower back. The moment I put them on, I felt the support. I tried them when I cycle, but did not like the feel of the back of my knee. I do wear them when I ski, however.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE TIGHTS!!, October 25, 2011
By M. Parr (Kansas City, MO USA)

Seriously, buy these tights. I researched women's running tights long and hard and choose these. Best running gear investment EVER. I don't usually write more than a couple words if I review a product but I am compelled to clear up the size issue I read on other reviews. Really, what are these women doing? It does not take 10 minutes to put these on. I ordered an extra small and am on the high end of that size per the chart. Granted, it's a little work but you don't have to wake up early to wear these. Added bonus: These tights make your legs and butt look amazing :-) Buy. These. Tights.

I have an older pair that I purchased for skiing and snowboarding. I have knee problems and they really help support them. I recently bought the stabilyx style to use for softball as well. They offer excellent support to my legs, back, and support my knees so well that I don't know how I would be able to function without them. They really do make you feel like Wonder Woman. They are a snug fit but that is how you know it's working ;-)

Best Running Pants, June 17, 2011

What can I say? I love em. They are wonderfully tight but comfortable. I'm in Minnesota and they help up through the winter and were thin enough to wear under things for those really cold days. I've also worn them in the summer and I'm not dying of heat. Minnesota is probably one of the more aggressive temperature climates to try these out in and I give it my stamp of approval.

Does the job, June 17, 2011
By reviewee

They definitely do the job, and so much cheaper than skins. Very happy with these and how my legs feel after a fairly hard work out. My only complaint is the logos (white printed things on the pants) end up cracking and looking not very nice after washing. Still this does not detract from what these pants are made to do. Perhaps leave off the extra "bling" as these are great.

I bought these tights based on customer reviews and the company website as i can not buy these in my country. I have not been disappointed with the performance and sizing of the tights. I will be buying another pair and compared to skins, you can feel the compression.

Super tights!, May 9, 2011
By Antoinette Y. Martin

I purchased these tights for a half-marathon.(my first) I have to say I am very pleased! I had very little muscle fatigue and no soreness in my joints what so ever! I highly recommend them. It is a bit of a struggle to get them on. But the more you put them on the easier it gets. Well worth the price!

yay!, May 6, 2011

Love my 1st compression tights, bought a new balance pair before, but too big, so no compression. These are tight and hope they stay this way. As I tend to get sore legs, hips and muscles, these actually really help.
The belly and hip area in particular keep your body straight and they make you look good 2. Just got my 2nd pair, but 3/4, they should be less warm outside. For indoors it doesnt matter as they have coolmax in them, but for sunny hot days, a bit too much :-)... Allright, hope this helps for anyone wanting to buy these. Oh and you really kind of need to buy a size down, to get the real compression feel. In saying that, I still just fitted in the sizing chart... I usually buy large, but needed M for these. I am 1.75 metres tall and weigh 75 kilograms.

Worth every penny!, April 13, 2011

I am new to running (at 52 yrs old) and needed something to help me with my knees when I ran. I just finished my first 5K and I was pain free!!! If you dont want to run with them on, wear them for muscle recovery after your race. Will be buying a 2nd pair so I always have a clean set. I hang dry them after they are washed.

Love it!, April 10, 2011

I'm a runner dealing with sciatica issues since about a year and ordered these thinking it might help. I bought a size S as per the sizing chart and it fit perfect: snug enough for compression but not uncomfortable. Of course, my sciatica issue hasn't vanished miraculously but I have to say that these help me recover very quickly after my runs, with very litte post-run pain. The only reason I'm not giving this product full marks is because they tend to loosen up after a few wears. But they get back to being tighter after a wash. I'm waiting to see how long it takes before they lose their compression and I have to buy a new pair. All in all, great compression tights! Highly recommended!

One run and I'm sold on these!, March 15, 2011
By Sarah M. Wells (Kentucky)

I just received my tights today. And yes, I will agree with other reviewers, they were quite challenging to put on, but I believe it will get easier. These tights were far and away THE most comfortable thing I've ever run in. The support they give did not make me feel jiggly or worried about my appearance. I am not a small person - 5' 7" about 160 lbs. I haven't been a serious runner for quite sometime, but have recently started the Insanity program. I have just recently started developing knee problems again with the intense workouts. After running today, I felt no knee pain. My legs felt great! In fact, if I hadn't been feeling a bit under the weather to start, I'd have run another mile! I ran in about 40 degree weather today and I was plenty warm. I really feel like the insulated tights would be too much for Kentucky weather. Before buying these, google the fit guide that's on the package. I went by other reviews and fortunately, the fit worked out today. You can try this link too: [...] These tights retail for $98, so this is a pretty good deal on Amazon.

womens cwx tights, March 14, 2011
By cjdh

I've had trouble with hip pain after running, some lasting for days after just a short run on asphalt. Since I started using these tights, I have never had hip pain after a run. Never! They are true to size (using the cwx size chart), I machine wash them and then hang dry. Best running purchase I've ever made, well worth the money.

Wow! If only more more clothes could make me feel this good yet offer different fashion options! These tights do an amazing job of protecting your muscles while giving you support to do more than you thought you could. I can go farther and faster in my workouts and my legs don't feel tired. These tights make me want to do more physically. As a bonus, they make you look better for your workouts! I will be buying more in different styles for different seasons.

Stabilyx Tight, January 25, 2011
By ChrisinColorado (Colorado Springs, CO)
|
|
I got the Stabilyx tight for a base layer for skiing. I am 5'4" and approx 150lb. I have "thick" legs and long legs (for my height) and circulatory problems (tend to get swollen ankles easily)- therefore I was very interested in trying these tights (great reviews!). On the sizing chart I fit in the "grey" area (between sizes). I got the medium, and they seemed to fit fine, however, after a day of skiing, when I took my socks off--the little bit of ankle showing at the bottom of the pant, was very puffed out and swollen--which would only tell me that they were too tight for the "thickness" of my legs. However, my legs did feel better, more energized and stronger, more stable with wearing the tights for a full ski day. It is unfortunate that these compression tights are not size by leg (calf) dimensions as some other companies do with compression socks. I returned these to exchange for the large (however, I think I should have held on to them till I got the large to keep whichever fit better) since after reading some reviews, it seems as if the tight starts to give some after more frequent wear. I will hopefully have by this weekend to test out on the slopes again. Another afterthought would be to wear a 3/4 tight and a compression ski sock. Overall I think they are a great product--just hope I can get the right size! Too expensive to not have the correct fit! Hope this helps and I will report again when I get the next size tight.

Great workout pant, January 3, 2011
By R. Harte (Gainesville, VA USA)

I'm not "sold" on the stability part of the tight, as I have only used them a couple of times. But they're very comfortable and I like the graduated compression. I'm a fan of Wacoal products, and this is no exception.

GREAT FOR COME BACKS!, December 30, 2010
By TIPSY GIPSY (Colorado, USA)

I've been a marathon runner for 10 years. Now after 5 years of not being active I've decided to go back to running. I'm 58 years old and purchased these tights to protect my now untrained legs and troublesome lower back from injury and also to help recovery. My first run (5 miles) was in these tights and it did what it promises. I'm impressed. I'm here to get another pair!

Very Pleased..., December 9, 2010
By Sue (NY)

I have been wearing running tights for a long time now, mainly for the warmth. i wanted to try these compression tights, for I had been reading of their many benefits. I am very pleased with the purchase. Besides the obvious warmth, my legs did seem to be less fatigued and tight. I also had a hamstring injury in the past year and wanted them for the extra support. Needless to say, these tights are worn regularly now. I am not sure what I will do in the summer months, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it!

Awesome tights!, February 10, 2010
By L. Miller (Florida)
|
|
I have been wearing these tights on cold early runs in Florida.(Yes it does get cold here!). I wore them on my 16 mile, 18 mile and recently 21 mile long runs. I love them. My legs seem to feel a lot better during my run and also the next day. I am 5'2" and ordered by the size chart and was very happy with the way the tights fit. It is important to adjust the leg seems so you get the intended support. Someone else commented that they could not wear their fuel belt with the tights. I had no problem wearing mine. They do take patience to get on and off, but I definitely feel like they are worth it.
