Great Summertime Riding Glove, June 3, 2010
By Jamal Edwards (St. Louis, MO)
|
|
These are well put together gloves, light yet durable; perfect for a warm, midwestern summer. The fitment was the only issue, so if you're considering a pair, get a size up. Although I had to return them for a larger size, the customer service experience through Amazon was more than stellar.

Great glove for cycling, but sizing warning, April 24, 2010
By Thomas Neil Kiser (Aurora, IL USA)
|
|
Order a size large than the sizing chart specifies!
My 8" hand, per the sizing chart, should have been a Medium (8"-9"). I ordered the Medium - but does not fit. Had to return for Large.
Other than that, a great glove. No velcro closure, just pull on, peel off. I do prefer Pearl Izumi in this regard, with their velcro closure at the wrist. But, overall, prefer Rivet.
Wasn't clear how brown glove looked from pictures, but actually love it more than the other colors (I ordered one of each).

Not for extreme cold!!!, November 29, 2010
By Justus (Napa, CA USA)
|
|
Typically, an individual will purchase a full-fingered cycling glove to protect their fingers from the cold weather when riding during the fall/winter seasons. If you are like me and this is the case, this is absolutely NOT the glove for you! Although it is stylish and fits confortably (buy a size up though), they offer zero protection under even mild cold conditions. My last ride was cut short because I could not feel my fingers anymore and had trouble changing gears and using my brakes - and it was only 32 degrees! The material is very thin and the wind penetrates right through the top of the glove where the protection should be. Also, there is no padding in the palm for those that appreciate the added comfort. For the price...there are far better options out there!

Lovely, January 18, 2011

I use the gloves while on my rowing machine, and they're fantastic! I love them, but remember to get a size larger than what you might expect to need. Otherwise, no complaints. They're great!

Should've been better, October 23, 2011

Ordered these gloves for a Mountain Bike certification course that was a week long. On the third day I noticed the index finger on the right hand was already separated along the stitching. Expected more from a $30 pair of gloves. They did keep any blisters from forming but be advised there is no padding. (If that is what you are looking for)

Great glove for biking, September 16, 2010

Have riden with the gloves now about 12 times. They are great. Not to thick to make your hands sweat, not too thin that they dont provide any protection when you take a spill. I highly recommend these gloves. Fantastic option.

Ok glove, November 11, 2011
By GunnarAO

Bought these gloves to have something that would cut the wind and keep the chill off my hands during my morning bike commute. I live in San Diego, so weather is never a big issue, but in the fall/winter months, damp foggy mornings can make things a little uncomfortable. I like the snug fit of the gloves, i feel like I get a decent barrier between my hands and the elements without losing any "feel". I am able to manipulate things like my bike lock, zippers on my backpack, and shift and brake while riding with no problem. Be advised, they are thin, theres no "padding" on the palms so if your looking for a product to ease hand fatigue on long rides, this is not it. I havent wiped out so I can't tell you how much road rash these will save you from, but I feel like the palm material is fairly durable. Its an OK glove. The only thing I dislike about the gloves is the meshy material on the sides of the fingers, I guess that was added to help the gloves breath? Oh, also the Giro "G" that is stamped on the back of the glove, you'll see what I mean when you go to wipe snot off your face and contact that uncomfortable hunk of plastic.

Great fit and durable, just order a size larger, April 15, 2012
By Steve

I have used these on a few mountain bike rides this year and really like them. They fit very well, but I did have to order one size larger like the other reviews state. They don't have straps or much elastic but slip on very easily and are comfortable. My hands also do not perspire when I am wearing them which is a major plus. My fingers are also flexible in the gloves and I can perform tasks wearing them. After a few rides, including one where I lost traction and fell in a river, they have stood up well. No tears and wear.

Good ventilation, poor padding, March 2, 2012
By Jake

First off, some people are leaving bad reviews because these didn't keep their hands warm... well these aren't supposed to keep you're hands warm, these are full fingered for added protection while mountain biking. For there purpose I think this glove works fine for short rides, I would say 1 hour max. After that the lack of padding becomes a real issue for me. The combination between the non padding and the texture of my handle bars started to become rather uncomfortable after that, and kind of painful after a couple of hours. With some more padding these gloves would be perfect. They were comfortable at first, they breathe great. I think one of the other Giro gloves like the Xen might be better for me, but I haven't tried it yet. If you like a very minimalist glove then this may be the glove for you.

Very good fit, and the price is right. The color is good and not garish, good for men. Bought them to match my husbands new bike, but they are functionally very nice.

Well constructed, good-fitting badly sized gloves, November 19, 2011
By MarinRider
|
|
Ordered these gloves based on a few reviews. I just got them (Size L) and they are slightly too snug, unfomfortably so...the sizing chart says I should order a Medium. The reviews suggest ordering a size larger, so I ordered a Large. A large is too tight. Besides that, the Brown color is surprisingly nice. The right size would probably fit well as they seem well cut. For those interested in using these gloves for colder weather, these gloves probably wouldn't be comfortable below 60 (70 for some) degrees as the meshing on the top is very thin (it is similar to a fine fishnet). It turns out they fit my wife's hands perfectly since she has the same finger length, but a smaller palm. I'll add to this review once she tests them out.
