5.0 out of 5 stars.  Kinetic Pro - incredibly realistic ride!!!, November 24, 2009
By KSIOP-19 (USA)
I was not sure which one I would like more: Schwinn 240 (recumbent bike) or Kinetic Pro 2009. Well, finally I bought both :)

OK, Schwinn 240 is SUPER quite, while Kinetic Pro gives you SUPER realistic ride.

Both machines are fantastic. I ended up putting Kinetic Pro in the basement where I can ride fast and loud (without warring too much about noise), while Schwinn 240 went into my living room in front of my TV... When my friends are coming over they always want to ride my Schwinn... I used to watch news sitting in the sofa - those days are gone. I am riding my recumbent bike instead.

OK, now, about Kinetic. This thing was designed for a serious workout. You just CAN NOT resist a temptation to accelerate at some point switching to the higher gear and getting the heart pumping your blood ""nicely"". I bought a special tire (Ultra Sport Hometrainer by Continental - orange color) recommended by a salesman in the local bike store. He was right: now the ride became VERY quite and the tire is not getting hot. NOTE: I had to adjust the tire on the wheel in the bike store (I did not have a special tool to do it by myself). The tire for some reasons was not evenly placed around the wheel: one side was slightly higher then another. Because of that my trainer vibrated like there was an earth quake. The adjustment took less then 5 min. My advise to you is (if you buy this tire in the bike store) bring your rear wheel and ask them to put in on right in the store.

... this Kinetic Pro Trainer is a really good investment - it's so true...

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Kinetic Pro, July 5, 2011
By The Dude
Did a lot of research on this product found this combination is the best value for the money spent. Product was dilivered as promised fast out that same day. Don't really have any complaints, but it does give a realistic workout when added the 12 lbs fly wheel. Great Product!!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid trainer, April 28, 2011
By scmillsj
This is my first indoor trainer so I dont have anything else to compare it to but after reading lots of reviews on many different trainers I decided to go for the Kinetic Pro and I am glad I did.

I'm an avid road cyclist and have also been attending spin classes regularly for a few years so it was a nice change being able to train all winter on my own bike rather than the spin bikes at the gym. The Kinetic is really solid, very well built and sturdy even when pedaling out of the saddle. Its pretty quiet but as I mentioned before, I have no experience on other trainers to compare it to. The fly wheel provides awesome resistance and feels very realistic compared to riding outside. I found it to provide a much more realistic "riding outdoors" feel versus spin classes.

Great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Bicycle Trainer, February 5, 2011
By rjj (Wash D.C.)
If you are looking for a trainer that provides a realistic road experience while you are inside this is a safe choice. It is stable, easy to set up, and unlike a dial resistance trainer it mimics the effort to pedal on the road. It is also very quiet. When coupled with the Spinergy series of training videos it provides a very challenging workout. You will need a waterproof mat to place the trainer on to catch the sweat.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Too noisy, December 27, 2010
By Allen Wong (New York, NY United States)
I bought this fluid trainer based on reviews that said it was quiet but I've found it to be too noisy for my NYC apartment. Also when I put on the heavy flywheel for more of a challenge, it's even more unstable - as if it's out of balance - and even noisier. Looking back, I wish I didn't buy this and/or would have bought a dedicated stationary bike which seems to be quieter.

Easy installation. Kinetic Riser Ring is a necessary item not included in this package but overall a very nice realistic ride.

This product is easy to set up and is great when the weather is bad. It is also very quiet and delivers a smooth ride. Easy to store without taking up much space.
