only one that seem to work, November 2, 2011

this seems to be the only one that will work for my womens schwinn bikes there is no room on them and even still I have to use a 12 oz bottle space is that small on those bikes. This looks nice, little pricy for resale of bike but for personal use not so bad.

It's light, and the side entry is something I never would have grown to like if I never tried it. It makes retrieving my bottle THAT much simpler! Very good product!

Great Side Release Water Bottle Cage, July 7, 2011
By Leigh Durlacher (San Jose, CA USA)

Works well for use when space is limited, such as Bike Friday, to permit easy access to water bottle
with side release and entry. Lightweight and permits mounting for either left or right bottle access.
I have tried a number of cages, and this one was ideal for Bike Friday with limited space for removing
bottle. It would be a great solution for those with smaller bike frames with similar problems.

Solves having a bottle cage on Small frame bikes, November 21, 2010
By Z Moe (Los Angeles, USA)

This product isn't perfect, as the other reviewers have pointed out you must have a bottle in the cage or it rattles against itself. The fact is that this product is reversible so you can pick which side to pull and replace the bottle on and it solves trying to get a bottle in and out of a cage on a small frame bike. Great idea and I feel it's much better than doing a seat mount bottle cage option.

Best bottle cage I've ever used, November 6, 2010
By PowerTools (Huntersville, NC)

I have a rather compact bike frame, so taller bottles won't fit or are difficult to access while riding. After putting these Zefal Side Mount cages on, I can grab the bottles with ease. Since they can be mounted for either right or left exit, I have set them both up for right hand access. Most of the other side mounts that I had interest in are one-piece units, so if you have two cages on your bike, one will be left handed and the other one right handed.
They're quite light weight; plenty light enough for a non-racer such as myself. Of course, carbon side mount cages are lighter, but I find it somewhat amusing as other group riders have to look down at their cages to be able to figure out where their minuscule carbon cage is and I can just jab my bottles back with confidence. The crazy easy access means that I actually sip water more frequently (which is a good thing, if you're wondering).
The height can be adjusted (with screws, not on-the-fly) which is more useful than I thought it would be. I started out with both cages at the lowest setting to accommodate taller bottles, but the side exit allowed me to put both to the highest setting and still be able to get 24oz bottles out with ease. The higher the cages are mounted, the less you have to bend over to reach your bottles.
The only negative point I have noticed is when I ride with the cages empty. The plastic is quite flexible so that riding, especially on rough roads, caused the tips to rattle against each other. Not a big deal for me.
My wife has not-so-subtly hinted that she wishes she had these cages on her bike, so here I am back on Amazon ordering two more.

Exactly what we wanted, March 30, 2012

This bottle holder fits great on our Trek Neko S bike. The bike is small and only has one mounting spot on the underside of the bottom tube. It fits the Camelbak Podium Big Chill 25 oz Bottle like it's made for it. Bottle sits well in the holder and easy to take out. Flexible light plastic which is great, I can't stand the rigid metal ones. Couldn't be happier.

This bike cage makes retrieving a bottle MUCH easier, especially on a small bike frame where space is limited. Holds the bottle securely on bumpy trails.

Side mount water bottle cage, October 20, 2011

Does exactly what it's suppose to do. To bad it doesn't come in other colors though. It's a much better deal than shelling out $18-25 for similar specialized or Bontrager cages

Decent, but not great..., September 3, 2010

These cages do their job just fine and don't cost too much, however they do have one annoying trait that I could do without: When on a shorter ride with one cage empty, that cage tends to make some vibration noise from where the open side chatters. In the product picture, it looks like it's at least half an inch apart, but mine are touching.

Not for Long bottle, March 26, 2012
By Rob

It works well if install in vertical position or with an angle like install along the main tube of the bike. I install the cage horizontally on the handle bar and the bottle keeps come off each time I hit a bump on the road. My bottle is around 9 inches long, it's fine with a 6-7 inch bottle. Good design but need to improve, make it adjustable so it can hold longer bottles.
