4.0 out of 5 stars.  Rough start but ended up loving it!, July 21, 2009
By Linda J
I would have given this 5 stars if it were not for the lack of instructions. I contacted customer service at Third Eye (only option is email) but I did receive a reply w/in the hour...from a real person who's customer service skills were so good that I decided to give it the 4 stars instead of the 3 I was going to rate it. By the time I got the reply I had figured the thing out from a picture on a competitor's website. The mirror is pre-assembled when packaged but often comes apart during shipping. The 2 large rubber pieces are supposed to slide over the screw. You then secure the whole thing w/the enclosed nut (be careful when opening package..the nut came flying out that I didn't know was there because of lack of instructions or list of what's included..i saw the nut on the competitor's site..it was a miracle I found it). Then screw clockwise into handlebar end. I was told by Shela at customer service not to screw it in too tight (needed info that should be included w/absent instructions) or the mirror could crack (I torqued mine so much that I bent the screw but was able to straighten it out). Shela also recommended locktite so it doesn't come apart. My mirror fell out of the handlebar end once but I had trouble getting it in all the way when I assembled it. When I put it in again I sprayed the inside of the handlebar w/cooking spray (don't use too much) & the mirror went all the way in w/ease. Make sure the head of the screw is seated when you start to turn.

Now for how it works. It's great! No vibration, real glass, and the convex shape gives a wide field of view. At one point I was so desperate for good mirrors that I even had bulky motorcycle mirrors mounted. Third Eye is smaller & works way better w/a larger field of view than those motorcycle mirrors ever did (& I had motorcycle mirrors mounted on both sides & Third Eye still gives me a larger field of view only mounted on 1 side). Overall I'm very happy with the product!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best for install and use..., April 4, 2009
By Anita Lewis
The Third Eye Bar End mirror is the best I've used. I cut a hole in the end of my left handlebar grip, poked the end of the mirror in, and turned the mirror clockwise to tighten it in place. It has little gear like things that expand as you turn it. Fantastic idea. It is in there solidly. It does pivot some for precise adjustment. It give a great view. There were some extra gears(not sure what they are really called) in the package for handlebars with bigger diameter.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Flops around; hard to see, December 2, 2009
By (one of thousands of Dave Browns.. (RI, USA)
The mirror itself attaches to its base via a swivel joint secured by a sort of threaded rivet and matching bolt that tries to clamp the two hard plastic pieces together. After about 20 miles of biking on paved roads, it now flops around at the slightest bounce. While it can be tightened, the slot is rather shallow and wide and made of a very soft metal (probably aluminum) such that the screwdriver on my pocketknife chews it up trying to get it tight enough. I suppose that's one way to avoid getting enough compression to crack the plastic (as I've had happen on other mirrors). (The slot is too shallow for a coin.) Maybe I'll file the inner plastic arm down and try putting a bit of rubber in there. Very disappointing as the connection between the mirror's base and the handlebar is excellent and unlikely ever to budge from where I put it.

Additionally, before you buy this, take a good look at the position of your left arm and forearm as you bike. I hadn't realized mine entirely blocks my view of where this mirror goes, so I have to move my arm every time I want to look in the mirror.

Between having to frequently tighten it or push it back into position and move my arm, it's not much of an advantage over just turning around to look behind me. I can't rely on it to actually show me what's behind me, especially when biking in the dark.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  This is a GREAT Mirror, June 12, 2009
By Lexie Jean Gillmore (Theodore, Al.)
I have on of these mirrors on my bicycle aka "Betty Bike" I have tried other mirrors in the past but there always was so much vibration that they were almost useless. The area where I live, "Mobile County Alabama" there are no paved bike paths or trails of any kind, so your out there competeing with the cars and trucks on the road, so it is absolutely necessary to have a good mirror so you know what is coming up behind you and this mirror the the BEST, There is no vibration so you know what traffic is behind you.
Is this mirror worth the money? Is your life important to you? If you said HELL YES then GET THIS MIRROR.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid product, simple to install, June 4, 2008
By T. Williams
This is a well-crafted mirror. Installation took about 60 seconds. The adjustability is good, and once it is put into place, it does not move.

I'm actually using this mirror on my motorcycle. It works great!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best mirror out there., April 22, 2009
By Dog Lover (Minneapolis, MN, USA)
I have used these mirrors for many years, both on my bike and my wife's. They are simply the best. The mirror itself is glass, not cheap plastic like some others that over time will fog and crack. The handle bar position and actual views are excellent. Much better than helmet or eye glass mounts. The only negative is that if your bike tips over, the mirror will likely break. But then you control that, don't you.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  better options available, July 18, 2009
By Snowplow (Missouri)
I used a Third Eye mirror for several years on my flatbar road bike before the mirror fell off and broke. I had to constantly adjust the aim of the mirror as it often vibrated off-kilter while riding. I also found that, when swapping the mirror between several different bikes, that the 2 sizes of rubber "doughnuts" supplied with the mirror (to expand and friction-fit the insides of your handlebars) are sometime too large or not large enough, depending on the inside diameter of your bars, resulting in too tight or too loose a fit. Because of the crudeness of how it attaches to the bike and the aiming issues I wouldn't recommend this mirror at all. Unfortunately the review software forces a reviewer to rate a product at least 1 star, I'd otherwise give this 0 stars, its that shoddy. Now I have Mirrycycle brand mirrors on a recumbent and, while twice as expensive as the Third Eye, they are much better designed products as far as bike-mounted mirrors go. That said, I'll never buy another bike-mounted mirror after using my Take-A-Look eyeglass mounted mirror, there is no comparison to the ease of use and field of view available by simply moving your head.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  30 Days later., September 16, 2010
By Once a Marine (Phoenix, Az USA)
I have had this mirror for one full month. I loved the mirror and wrote a review here that said so. However, today it fell apart. The mirror has never been subjected to any type of direct contact with anything. The break must be due to the G forces it received from riding. One of the ears that mount the actual mirror broke. If this item were made of metal instead of plastic, it would truly be the best mirror sold. I bought another different mirror today to replace it. Mirrycle MTB Bar End Mountain Bicycle Mirror

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great once installed, September 14, 2007
By Beast (Cayman Islands)
This mirror does not easily slide into the "crowbar" that is common on most recent models of Trek bikes - it requires a bit of elbow grease! Tip - remove the glass part (to avoid breaking the lens like I did) and insert the other part. Once it is inserted into the handlebar re-attach the lens. Mirror gives a nice view but doesn't make your bike too much wider.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Difficult to Install, No Instructions, July 10, 2009
By franko (Crystal Coast)
The mirror is nice. I bought it based on the reviews. But for me it was almost impossible to install. There are essentially no instructions. There is a nut but no instructions on where the nut goes in relation to the rubber pieces.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Easy, easy install. Great product., June 1, 2010
By Books are Nicer Than Peopl.. (Spokane, WA)
Not sure about the reviewer who received no instructions... Mine were clearly on the package -- both in writing and in pictures. Install couldn't have been simpler: (1) Remove handlebar plug (you do need a flathead screwdriver or something to pry it out with). (2) Insert mirror and turn clockwise until tight. Obviously you don't want to turn it too tight; if you do that with anything, stuff can snap and break.

After the 30 second install (give or take 10 seconds), I went for a ride. The mirror works well and does not get in the way. A sturdy product for a great price. I've already recommended it to family and friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  I can see behind me, July 27, 2009
By Jeff Bearer (Pittsburgh, PA USA)
I wasn't sure if I would find the mirror on the end of the handlebar instead of on top of the handle bars like most mirrors awkward but it's not. The mirror provides a pretty good view behind and to the left to watch out for passing cars. The installation was easy and the mirror stays put.

It does not work well if you want to see your child in child seat mounted right behind you. It does not stick out far enough to get a view around your body. But I didn't buy it for that anyway so I don't care.

One thing that I didn't see on Amazon is that the packaging says that the company will repair the mirror for $6 if you need any service on it. You can either send it in, or describe the part you want them to send to you.

This mirror makes my work commute a lot less stressful on left turns.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great handlebar mirror, February 26, 2011
By Heather M. Boone (South Florida)
Installation was a breeze, the hardest part was getting the plug out of my handlebar so I could insert the stem. Just turn it a couple times before you put it into the handlebar end so that it will grab, then just keep turning it until it's tight. It folds back against the handlebar so that it doesn't get in the way when bringing the bike through a doorway. Provides a good view of things and is highly adjustable. You really can't go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Essential for biking on the road, May 29, 2010
By J. A. Sperling (Virginia)
I had this installed on my bike a few months ago, and it has been great, helping me stay aware of what is behind me without constantly turning around and straining my neck.

It doesn't vibrate when I ride, so I can clearly see what is behind me. The convex shape gives a great viewing angle so I not only see things behind me to the left (I installed it on the left handlebar), but I can also see if there is a car coming up behind me when I want to move to the right lane.

Overall, I've been extremely happy with this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice product for the price, November 11, 2009
By Slap-chop (Indianapolis, IN)
I actually used this mirror on a custom motorcycle project I'm working on. Instead of a $125.00 mirror from a motorcycle catalog, I used this product, intended for a bicycle. The manufacturer's method of anchoring the mirror within the handlebar could have been a bit better, but for the price, I'm quite satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best Bar End Mirror!, June 7, 2008
By Gary Helmink (Tampa, FL USA)
This bar end bicycle mirror is perfect all around. It looks like it belongs and it functions like no other. It has the best curvature to see what is important. There is no noticeable vibration and it stays in place better than similar devices. You can judge approaching car lane placement even at night when you have become one with your machine. This helps you ride smart and aware.

I ride 200 miles a week on the road at high speeds and this mirror doesn't shake or get out of alignment unless I want to move it-- which is easily done. I have used the many other types of mirrors and this is by far the best ever.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Tight fit on newer Specialized bike handles - cracked when rotating on install., July 28, 2011
By C Winger (Athens, GA)
Info that may help:

If you have bike handlebars with a hollow inner circle diameter greater than 3/4 of an inch, you will likely have success installing this mirror.

My 2011 Specialized Crosstrail Sport handlebar inner circle is exactly 3/4", and this made for an extremely tight and difficult installation. Using the smallest cylinders that came with the mirror, I had to use a great deal of force to slip the cylinders in the handlebar, while being careful not to crack the glass mirror.

I can't imagine anyone having success installing this on a bike with a smaller inner diameter handlebar.

Once I successfully inserted the mirror, I rotated it clockwise to complete the install, and sure enough, the mirror cracked. Balls to that.

This company should consider including an even smaller pair of cylinders. It seems there is no universal standard for the inner diameter of bike handles.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Terrible mirror - do not buy., September 25, 2011
By Poncho (Seattle, WA USA)
This mirror was very hard to install. Then it worked great for the first week or so. Then it began to flop around - I was constantly adjusting while riding to see the cars and bikes coming up behind me. Recently the pin that hooks the mirror to the stem just fell out on my last ride. Owned it maybe a month before needing a replacement. I would find another mirror this one is terrible.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Very hard to tighten., August 3, 2011
By Ethan
I don't know if you need a special tool to tighten these things or what, but I stripped both of mine very easily, metal not strong at all. On the first one I tried a flathead screwdriver, not a good idea, the gap is too big, so it stripped. The next one I tried using a quarter then a nickel, didn't work either, stripped. I don't know how the other reviewers did it, but if you don't have an extra fat flathead with you you will strip these very fast. BTW I tried putting them in my motorcycle handlebars, not a mountain bike. Only out 22 bucks though, no biggie.

By coffeeformom
bought this as a replacement for another mirror and have to say the second time was a charm--I use my bike to go to and from work and part of that is on a very busy 4 lane street which at one point I need to move over to the left lane and then make a left turn--it is nice to not have to keep turning my head to see if the way is clear--while you dont have a sense of distance with this mirror you can easily see if something is there or not--only down side to it is now I have to order another one as my better half really likes it also

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good with caveats, April 25, 2011
By tmerk
Overall, this mirror works pretty well. I'm still tweaking it.

Pros:

- Does not wiggle much while riding
- Convex mirror shows a good amount of scenery
- Reasonably easy to install

Cons:

- I had to use a strip of inner tube to get a good fit in the handlebar using the smaller diameter rubber washer/spacers.
- The screw that holds the swivel part of the mirror got loose and needed to be tightened. I'll wrap gaffers tape all the way around this part of the mirror to keep it from falling onto the road.
- The mirror is a bit close in, i.e., I see my loose jacket flopping behind me. My other bike mirrors stick out a bit more and don't have this problem. Note that I have this mounted on a folding bike which may have shorter (less wide) handlebars than say, a mountain bike.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  No complaints, but not the best if you crash on occasion., March 26, 2011

A basic , servicable little mirror with good optical quality and a sturdy design. Works well for my crossover bike, and didn't break the bank. However , after a few months of good service , the bike went down and this mirror's mount broke into many pieces. Not a good mirror if you have any tendency to crash your bike !

I wanted a mirror that was as unobtrusive as possible and still easy to adjust with a wide viewing angle. Installation was very easy, I just pulled the cap of my grip and stuck the mirror in it's place.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellant Mirror, January 11, 2011
By TomO (Brookfield, Wisconsin)
I have a more aerodynamic mirror on my sport racing bike, but I wanted a mirror that would work for my girl friends hybrid. This mirror fits the bill well. We haven't put tons of miles on yet, but so far the mirror stays put once it is adjusted right which I can't say for other mirrors that I have used. It also is easy to install and is reasonably priced.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Safety First, September 25, 2010
By Dean Alden Morse
I had been looking to buy a mirror for my bike for a long time as I was tired of turning around to see if someone was riding behind me and also because I have only one good eye to see with so even when I turned around it was hard to see. This mirror is solving the issue and I now have both my bikes equipped. Attaching the mirrors was no problem for my neighbor and he had the mirror installed in less than 3 minutes but he is a handy type and I was not able to do it myself because I am not handy at all. The mirror looks good and you should be happy with this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Third Eye Bar End Bicycle Mirror, December 25, 2009

Great Mirror. I was using a different handlebar mirror which would vibrate too much and would change position after riding over a small bump. This mirror is quite stable and is almost vibration free. The mirror is glass not aluminized plastic which some riders may not like.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid product, no vibration, reasonably simple to install, November 25, 2009
By Jim (Ohio)
I've tried a couple of other handle bar mounted mirrors for my road bikes that mount via a stem. They vibrated too much to be of use. These mirrors are rock solid and provide a great view of cars and other cyclist. I'd put one on both sides but I'd never get my teenage son to ride with me. (He loves to ride my bike, but pulls the mirror off first thing. Guess it doesn't look too cool.)

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great little bike mirror, August 16, 2009
By J. Burgess
My bike tipped over and broke my strap on mirror, which I was happy it did, because I wanted a better mirror without the straps and without the vibration. This is excellent. We had to drill a hole at the end of my handlebars, but it screws in tight with no vibration. The view behind me is clear, the mirror doesn't fog. It adjusts as I'm riding and keeps the adjustment. There's not much to it, nothing extra hanging out to get in the way or make my bike heavier. It came with a couple of nuts but we didn't use them because of the way my handlebars were closed at the end, we didn't need them. I like the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid with No Vibration, July 22, 2009
By Desert Rat (Tucson, Arizona)
Riding a bike on the roads in Tucson, Arizona is like riding on the surface of the moon (probably some of the worst roads in the United States). Unlike many other bike mirrors, this one stays on solid and I've had virtually no vibration (like most other mirrors) going over the bumpy Arizona roads and potholes that would normally distort my view from behind. Personally, I found this mirror very easy to install and adjust. Excellent quality and distortion free optics at a great price. This is my second purchase of the Third Eye mirror. These mirrors replaced two more expensive Blackburn mirrors which I tossed out. I REALLY like this product, it keeps me much safer while riding and I recommend it highly.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  "One-Size-Fits-All" -- Really? -- I don't think so., May 27, 2011
By Jeff (Fort Worth, Texas United States)
This is one of those "One-Size-Fits-All" that didn't work for me. I tried to install by the included instructions and couldn't get it to work. I measured the handle bar on my bike and found that it was .75" in diameter (inside - the hollow part). I contacted Third-Eye and asked them if they had any of these that fit in a 3/4" Diameter Bike Handle bar. I haven't heard back in over a week -- So I'm done.

The only thing that I didn't try was to put a piece of a bicycle tub around it (to tighten it up) and then put it in my handle bar -- I have one bike -- I'm not a bicycle shop with extra bits of bicycles laying around.

I really just want something that works/fits. I already have a mirror on my bike that moves around and is loose. I don't need another one.

I'm going to try a different mirror.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Mirror moves around a lot - very annoying, August 14, 2011
By Daniela C. Mead
This mirror attaches by slipping it into the end of your handle bar. Although they give you a few different sizes of rubber fitting pieces to match your handlebar opening sizes, the mirror still slips up and down when you ride. You have to keep adjusting it. I glued it in with some epoxy and it's sitting a bit tighter now.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Design flaw, July 24, 2011

This mirror has a severe design flaw. Because the mirror fits into the end of the handlebar by being jammed in, the mirror moves after hitting a bump. On 20+ mile rides, this defect gets old fast.

The mirror that fits on your helmet is definitely the way to go for 20+ mile rides.

The mirror worked as advertised. I have to commute throguh several sidewalks and depressions, and it's held together with no adjustment. Everything is OK

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Moves around too much at times, easy fix..., April 29, 2011
By Ryan J. Mcguire
It's an alright product, just the bolt they use to control the angle of the mirror is flat on one end, so difficult to get very tight and became loose multiple times. Which in turn allows the mirror to move too much while riding. just could've used a slightly better one for a penny or so, will probably add one. Other than that it's good, easy to install, easy to remove to avoid theft.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works well., July 26, 2010
By chemicalRXN (St. Louis, MO)
-Very simple to install. Step 1: Remove end cap from one side of the handlebars. Step 2: Insert mirror and twist until snug.
-Folds and rotates easy enough to do it without looking away from the road. Gives a good field of view.
-Feels like solid construction. Will probably last until I break it by my own fault.

All together a good product.
I would buy another of this brand (if and when I need to) and recommend it. In fact, I recommend a mirror in general for anyone who has to ride alongside traffic.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Mirror!, May 31, 2010

Pros: Very secure, doesn't bounce around, clear, wide field of view
Cons: Objects in mirror are small, and are much closer than they appear.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  great value, November 4, 2009

I was actually able to insert the mirror into the existing hole left from my old mirror which broke off. The mirror lens is just fine, was able to see quite well with it. Definitely a good deal!

1.0 out of 5 stars.  boy, worked great, July 13, 2011
By Richard Lane (Earth)
well, the large bumpers were too big, the smaller bumpers too small. Shims didn't work, well, actually, they were not included but after playing around in the garage with different options, nothing would fit right

used some slippery oil to try to get the large bumper inserted in the handle bar and the mirror broke. Into the garbage.

And don't assume I'm a mechanical moron. I'm not.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Poor design, June 28, 2011
By Christopher (Trenton, NJ)
Mirror cracked in 3 places within the first 2 minutes of opening the package. I was mislead by the reviews when everyone said you have to screw it in (clockwise) to tighten it up. Not true.....

Everything is plastic except for the 2 rubber cylinders and 1 metal screw that hold this in place. I was being extra careful when trying to install it but, the mirror cracked (in the form of a Peace sign). I was holding it by the screw in the back, not touching the mirror itself.

After it was installed, I went for a ride. You have to constantly adjust it, the slightest breeze moves it around.

On the back of the package it says the company will repair the mirror for $6.00 + shipping. This thing only cost $10.00.

Its a cool idea but, nothing beats a true screw on mirror for the handlebars.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Too fragile..., December 3, 2011

Installation was easy. Unfortunately, mirror shattered when the bike was propped up against a wall. If you can assure that nothing will ever touch the mirror, it is likely a good choice for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  well thought out design and made bicycle mirror, October 11, 2011
By Joe
This mirror was easy to install and can be taken off and put on easily. Great placement for field of vision and it is extremely stable so you don't have jitter. The convex lens is just right so you have a good field of vision without the image being to small and things appearing far away. I've tried helmet mirrors and various other mounted ones, this one is inexpensive and the best I've found so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Easy mod for motorcycle... great value, October 7, 2011
By Bradley (Dallas, TX)
I had some old bar-end tube inserts (the rubber spreader kind that keep bar-ends in place) and used them in place of the ones included with these mirrors on my Honda CB600F. I was amused to discover that they looked great (discrete compared to the usual 'donkey ears' stock mirrors) AND they actually provide nice rear visabilty. It takes a few seconds to get used to looking a few degrees lower to get rear sights, but they actually grab a nice field of view behind and beside the bike when adjusted properly. The best part? At this price, I can afford to crush or clip them and not think twice about it.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Won't stay in place, September 18, 2011
By R. D. Hoag (Carmel by the Sea, Ca United States)
I had this mirror installed with the purchase of a new Specialized Sirrus Sport bike. They had trouble getting it into the end of the bar because the hole in the Sirrus bar is small, but they managed to do it. I liked the mirror, has a very clear view, if it just wouldn't keep getting out of adjustment. I tightened it up as much as I could, but it still will not stay in place when I go over bumps I have to keep trying to re adjust it while riding which is hard to do and not safe.
I replaced it with a Mirrycle MTB bar end mirror which I had on my last bike.. unless you actually bang it against something it never needs any re adjustments when going over bumps and it also gives an excellent view to the rear, wider angle then this one and also better because of the longer arm. It came with two inserts and fit my Sirrus bike perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Bicycle Mirror, September 16, 2011
By Gadget
This mirror was not as bad as most all the reviews I read. I put 2 of these on in 10 mins. Not sure why you need instructions. Put a dab of loctite on the bolt holding mirror to bracket. I did not know I could do a video. Maybe next time. Good product at a very reasonable price. I uploaded a photo install.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Bar mirror, September 8, 2011
By Olen
It arrived promptly and after installation works well. However, after about a week of use it
fell off my bike and was never seen again. I ordered a replacement and cleaned the rubber
mount and the inside of the bike handlebar with a solvent. It now seems to stay in place.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  It works, September 1, 2011
By D-Dub
I ride rail trails with my son (on a trailer bike) The reason I bought the mirror is so I can see him and approaching bikes. Installation took a bit longer than expected. During the installation I cracked the mirror. The mirror works, it is easy to adjust. Very plastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works quite well, pleased with customer service, August 25, 2011
By Chipcinnati (Cincinnati OH USA)
This could have turned out to be a bad review, but in the end, it's a very positive review. The mirror I received from Amazon didn't have the shims inside the package. Not sure why - perhaps they fell out of the plastic-mold packaging somewhere in the distribution stream. Because the mirror mount was considerably smaller than cavity at the end of my flat-bar, the shims were particularly necessary. I tried using layers of electrical tape to add diameter to the mirror mount, but that did not work well.

I posted a message on Third Eye's forums. A few days later, I got a note from a company employee. She offered to send me replacement shims. When I related to her that my electrical tape efforts had resulted in the mirror falling off my bike and breaking, she said she'd replace the mirror too. A few days later, a new mirror and new shims arrived in my mail.

With the shims, the mirror installed easily and securely. For an inexpensive mirror, it looks good on the bike, and it functions well. I feel a lot safer in traffic with the mirror.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Not too durable, August 2, 2011
By Austin
Bikes never fall over... right? Had one of these on my bike and one on my wife's. After awhile the joint gets loose and the mirror starts moving around so you have to keep adjusting it...especially if you go over any rough surfaces. Also, the mirror is made of glass instead of plastic..... both are now broken after relatively minor kickstand malfunctions. Will make sure the next replacement mirror is made of plastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect!, June 28, 2011
By Bud (Omaha, NE USA)
These mirrors work perfect for what I use them for. I use them on my 1989 Kawasaki EX500 motorcycle. Because it's a daily driver and I ride all year round things happen. The bike has been dropped, car doors have hit it, etc. Each time a mirror has been sacrificed. At only a few dollars each they make more sense than mirrors specifically designed for "motorcycles" and they function exactly like their more expensive counterparts!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Meh. Not great, not bad., June 23, 2011
By K. Bontrager (Michigan, United States)
I wasn't impressed with the fit on either of my bikes. The position and the tension that it winds up giving you means your hand will knock it around a lot making it a hassle to get a good view of whats behind you. It didn't fit very tight no matter how hard I tried. The flat glass didn't provide a good image. I wouldn't recommend this one, but it's better than nothing.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A Great Bicycle Mirror, January 30, 2011
By M. Lee (Arizona)
I've used these on a couple of mountain bikes so far and have been very pleased with them. The first thing I really like about it is the size and shape of the mirror. It's a comparatively big mirror, compared to most I've seen, and is also slightly convex which means it has a good field of vision. The second thing is the fact that it mounts directly to the side of the handle bar rather than sitting on an arm. It does mean that it sits a bit lower but it is very stable and there's no discernible shaking which makes for easy rear viewing.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect Mirrors !!!, September 17, 2009
By bwcdusty (Smyrna, DE United States)
This bicycle mirror is perfect for our bikes, mountain bikes used on & off-road. Very easy to install, and don't forget to tighten the screw behind the mirror, so the mirror stays in position. It's easy to adjust as you're driving, or if it gets bumped around off-road.

I've installed one on each side of the handle bars, and the views are clear, providing a wide view of traffic and terrain. They don't vibrate so the view is steady.

They are the perfect solution for safer biking!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Dirt bikes as well, January 27, 2012
By gunmetalgreen
Bought this for a enduro bike that is road legal, worked decently, the mirror would get floppy after a few hours then you would have to tighten it up. I ended up breaking it off in the woods, thankfully it wasn't very expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  2nd Purchase, November 25, 2011
By ScottInTucson
Bought a second one for my wife...works great! It will vibrate out of position if you are going over rough terrain AND you have your hand off the handlebar that it's on. No really a problem for me, but you just get used to the idea that you use the opposite hand if you need to take your hands off the bars to adjust something or whatever.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent mirror, October 22, 2011
By Don Dailey (Clarksville, TN United States)
The mirror was easy to install. The inside diameter of my bar was too small for the factory installed gasket but one of the alternate gaskets provided with the mirror worked fine. The mirror is easy to adjust and provides an excellent view behind you.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good to have, August 15, 2011
By angela englund (grants pass, oregon United States)
This was a pain in the ass to install. It didn't come with the shimmies and my handlebar was in the zone of being too big AND too small for a proper fit. I don't have any tools so I had to get creative. It took an hour and a half of experimenting to get something to work (I used some weird plasticy plant name stakes as shimmies). It's easy to adjust to where I can see it and has a nice view. It feels like it crowds my hand a little bit I just need to get used to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very Stable Mirror, May 19, 2012
By Rick (Hollywood, FL USA)
This little mirror doesn't shake. It can be moved out of the way when you park your bike against a wall. It definitely is a great safety feature to have a good mirror on your bike when you ride on the road, and this one works great.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  After 1 year's use I have to give it an "F", March 23, 2012
By Drive-In Kid
The design of the mirror renders it unusable unfortunately. From the minute you insert the rubber base into your handlebar it will begin to move around and eventually force it's way out again. Even when it is in place it needs constant adjustment as the road vibration will cause it to move out of position.

It is too bad because the size and position are good and it does work well for the short time it stays in one place. The mirror itself is mounted to the rubber so it isn't if you can pound the thing in to the handlebar end without damaging it.
