5.0 out of 5 stars.  Thomson 1" to 1" 1/8 Shim, November 17, 2010
By Cyle (New York)
Thomson of course makes GREAT bike parts. This is no different. Solid design with the ribs and is perfect for the lonely 1" threadless that cannot find a wide range of stems.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Stuff, April 11, 2011
By AstralBob
Thomson makes great stuff. I do want you to remember that if you use this with a 1 1/8" stem (which you will be doing), remember to order a 1 1/8" stem cap. A 1" stem cap is NOT recommended and you will likely lose your stem and bars at the most inconvenient time. Thomson makes a beautiful stems and seat posts. I am awaiting the Thomson stem cap so I can complete my installation. Gee...that only another week till I get to ride. Please save yourself time and order both the shim and the cap at the same time. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CW73VS

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Does what it's supposed to do., October 10, 2011
By Matthew (Sumter, SC 29150)
This is a metal shim. Done.
It makes my 1 1/8" stem fit my 1" steer tube. The fit and finish is nice and everything fits snugly. Can't really go wrong with this and it's way cheaper than a new stem.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  did not work, May 17, 2011
By Noworky McGee
This product seemed perfect when it arrived, however upon installation, it could not create the friction needed to keep my stem in place on the quill. My stem slips and slides with this equipped. I thought this could be a cheaper option, but it did not work, and I shall be purchasing a properly fitted stem.

this shim DOES NOT adapt to 31.8 stem. it is way too small. don't waste your time or money. cost more to return than to purchase. TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works, February 18, 2012

Used this on my Kilo TT Pro since it uses a non-standard 1" threadless fork. Works as advertised, can't complain.
