Product Description:
Bring light to your dark shed, without having to connect to your local power grid. This LED shed light features 10 bright LED's that are powered via a solar panel. The panel can be placed in direct sunshine with the included 20-foot extension cord. Mount the light on the ceiling or wall for maximum flexibility, or use it as a utility light for a work bench. A pull chain allows easy on and off. A switch on the body lets you select between 10 LED's that last 2 hours, or 5 LED's that last 4 hours. The LED's have an average rated life of 100,000 hours, ensuring years of continuous use. The solar panel has a glass cover for protection in wet locations. Includes three AA rechargeable batteries and all mounting hardware. This fixture is approved for damp location use as defined by the National Electric Code. Please consult your local electrical code for details. DL # 274093.

Night Light Bright
3 out of 5 stars.
This item provides enough light to not bump into things in the dark, but you won't be finding things in that dark corner of your shed with it. Our shed does not have electricity so this was a welcome addition rather than running electrical to it, I just wish it were a little brighter. It was easy to mount and it comes on every time we pull the cord what more could we ask?

Just the light I needed
4 out of 5 stars.
I put this in my shed and I'm surprised by how well this little light illuminates the whole interior.

I found the screws aren't easy to use like the one to tighten the position of the solar panel. You need to mount the panel but then you can't tighten the screw that holds the solar panel in position. That was a little annoying.

I wouldn't mind a better switch for the light. A hanging string is a little too 1950's for me. I like a switch. I was thinking of even cracking it open and putting my own switch in but in the end I went with the string.

These days I would not get anything but LED for these types of things. The performance is so much better than anything else out there. Very low wattage that last forever.

If you hang the solar panel on the side of the shed I suggest hanging it upside down. It seems to angle better that way and gravity won't work against you.

Pleased with the performance
5 out of 5 stars.
I purchased this over the holidays and put this in my dad's shed. It was very easy to install and once it charged I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. Although it's not a light that you would work by, in my father's 12x15 shed it lit it up quite nicely so that you could easily see everything inside. I plan on purchasing one of these for my shed also.

great little light
5 out of 5 stars.
Even in Maine, where this little sun in the winter, this works wonderfully. Bought it because of security concerns; appreciate it now because it lights the way for us when we come home after dark. simple to set up, long cord so you can position collector to face sun but put light where you want it. And it is all solar powered. Remember that it is LED lighting so it is not a strong light. Just enough to light your way or intimidate someone who is not supposed to be there.

6 inch L bracket
5 out of 5 stars.
Ordered the solar light in December 09, the 6 inch "L' bracket is in the package but with no instructions. If you will look closely at the grey plastic mounting bracket one of the slots has a flat side. Slide the L bracket into the hole with flat side, is it used to "hang" over a 2X4 or other support and tighten with the nut run down on the threads instead of using screws to secure the base. Used the solar light in our camphouse- "Alamo". It had charged for several weeks, to be honest it worked great, we had more than enough light with the 5 led lights on. We turned the light on and off as needed so I cannot attest to the amount of run time we will have overall. I do recommend this product. We used a couple of the battery powered "candles"-they actually flicker- ($5)from Walmart as night lights around the door and outside to see when getting up during the night.
Happy in South Texas
