5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent light set, March 25, 2008
By Jonathan Smith
This set is a great value, particularly for bicycle commuters. I use it on my road bike for commuting home from work, as well as the occasional nighttime ride. Both lights attach and can be removed without tools, and both stay securely in place. The front light is one of the very few that fit my thick handlebars, and it's adjustable to fit nearly every size bike.

I've only owned a small handful of bike lights, so you may want to take this with a grain of salt, but I can easily say that both lights are among the brightest I've seen. The taillight will easily do the job of letting drivers know there's a cyclist around, and the headlight will illuminate those dark, desolate streets just enough to allow the cyclist to avoid a few hidden potholes.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Does what it says, but has one issue, September 14, 2008
By J. Adams (Richmond, VA)
I purchased these for myself and my family because I was concerned about the bicycling safety. For the most part the headlamp does it' s job, but from time to time I noticed that it wants to turn and point downward and I have to reach up and straighten it out. We normally don't ride at night so this isn't a huge issue, but for those rare moments it can be a concern. Not an issue if you stay on the streets, but if you have a tendency to go off-road, as I do from time to time to avoid traffic, this can happen. The headlamp and taillight are bright and work well in daylight and during the night and the battery life is excellent.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Falls Over, March 29, 2008
By Hooliator (San Francisco, CA)
The main light is made such that the weight is forward of the handlebars when batteries are installed. It had a tendency to flip forward so that it was pointing downward. After about 6 months the clip part cracked and I had to tape it together. It also takes 3 AA batteries, which makes it heavier than many other lights.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Value, April 23, 2008
By Pneumatiko (Texas United States)
Got this at the bike shop for about $25. So far so good. Compared to other lights which can run in the hundreds of dollars, I'd say this is a pretty good value for a rear and front light set. I give this 5 stars for value, and 4 stars for design, only because with heat and the elements I'm afraid that the rubber O-ring might snap. Maybe I can fit a couple of small cable ties instead of the o-ring. That would make me happier. Also, there is no good description on how to open the rear light casing to change the batteries. I found out that a Quarter or probably also a Nickel might work well to open it up. Happy Night Riding!

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Sigma Lights, August 31, 2008
By Tom (Tallahassee, FL United States)
The front light works fine, however the rear light sucks! It must have some sort of internal flaw. It burned out two sets of batteries just sitting there in the off position. Also it has an oddball size battery that were almost impossible to find. I would have sent it back, but it would have cost more than it was worth. I don't recommend this product.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Needs better fastening devices...., January 5, 2010
By SIR (Lakewood, CA USA)
I purchased this set of bicycle lights for my wife. The front light set is bright and will easily be seen by on coming traffic at night. However, if you plan to use this light for guiding you at night and wanting to see what is on the road, then this is not for you. The fastening system to hold this light on to the handle bar is very flimsy and will not stay in place for long should you have any vibtations or hit a bump while riding.
The rear light is also very bright and great for riding at night. However, when I went to install the light on to the stem of the seat, the band that came with it broke immediately. The band is not very flexible and has minimal elasticity. I e-mailed SIGMA with my problem and they are sending me replacements rubber bands. Hopefully an improved version. Meanwhile, I used a small plastic tie to keep the light attached to the stem of the seat. Hope this helps.
I would not buy the unit again.....

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good lights, little problem with front, December 20, 2009
By John H. Carlee (Wilmette, IL)
To keep it short and sweet - I really like this product and both lights do what I want them to do. Good range, I feel safe with them on.

My one big annoyance with this product is the front light's attachment method. It doesn't firmly attach, or tighten to keep is stable. Every bump I go over on my road bike, the light slides a little bit forward until it eventually faces the ground. While this is a small annoyance, it really bothers me because it is a simple mechanic that was not done well.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Front light is great....rear light, not so much., January 5, 2010
By Rocky (Bemis, WV)
The front light works great (as others have noted) and even better if you have rechargeable batteries to use. Otherwise you could be replacing the AAs pretty regularly.
The rear light attachment mechanism is pretty faulty, as others have noted as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  So-So, December 2, 2008
By aim222 (Boston, MA United States)
The front light has a good mechanism to connect it to the handlebars. The rear light uses a rubber band to hook on one side and stretch around the seat stem and back onto itself. This band broke within a couple of minutes of attaching it. I had to attach it to my seat pack with thread otherwise there is no other way to use it without sending it back. The lights themselves are good. Just the tail light attachment is very poorly designed.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very Nice Lights, December 18, 2010
By Sumedh (Berkeley, CA United States)
I absolutely love these headlights. They are very nicely designed. It has a nice rubbery type material on the outside and the way the seams meet each other with no gaps is well constructed. The rear blinker has an rubber ring to seal it from water damage.

The lights are bright and can be seen from afar. The way the front headlight clips onto your handlebars is very quick to install and remove as well. My bike doesn't have very much handlebar space and I can still manage to put it on.

It even comes with batteries however, opening the rear blinkers battery cover was a little tricky and I was scared I was going to break it off.

Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a set of lights for their bike and well worth the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not well-designed, easily broken., December 15, 2010
By Booker T.
I am a light commuter and rely on my bike lights to keep me safe in the evenings. The rear light of this set is fine. The front light is very poorly designed and shorted out in a light rain. The battery compartment became quickly encrusted in battery acid!

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Awful mounting quality, December 8, 2010
By Charlain Engels
I bought this light set for light use during the winter months.
Both lights are bright enough for what I do, no complaints here.
However, the quality of the mounts is horrendous.
The rear light is mounted with a rubber O-ring (2 different sizes included). The large O-ring broke immediately, and the small O-ring won't fit anything larger than a pencil.
The front light is mounted via a cheap, flimsy clamp. It doesn't work. I cannot get this light to stay firmly attached to the handle bars.
I'll make it work, but I should have went with my instinct and bought a better set. You get what you pay for.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Product but has one little issue, October 4, 2010

High quality and affordable price. but ...
The rear light attachment mechanism is pretty faulty, as others have noted as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works great; keeps me legal at night., September 21, 2010
By Michael
These work fine for me. They both have a "constant on" and "flash" setting, and I haven't run the batteries down yet but I assume they last longer on the flash setting. The headlight seems pretty bright, but I ride in a city that has streetlamps everywhere, so I can't say how well it works in total darkness. I'm mostly just using it so cops don't yell at me and so I don't get run over.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good valued combo, June 7, 2010
By digital taylor (Olympia Fields, IL USA)
This combo light set is a very good for the money, I only wish it had more than 2 modes (steady and 1 flashing), on the rear light.
