Excellent for folding bikes, July 4, 2011

This is a product you wished existed and actually does.
The old bell on my folding bike broke because it stuck out above the handlebars and kept getting stuck on cables. This bell, however, slides right onto the handlebars and doesn't get knocked around at all. It has a lovely single ping, which alerts people from behind that there's a bike coming. The ringer functions just like a grip-shift, and can be rung in either direction. Installation: 10 minutes (remove mirror, remove old grip, reposition handlebars, attach bell, attach grip, attach mirror).
Pros:
Matches the look of regular grip shifters.
Easy to install.
Stays out of the way (unlike a regular bell).
Cons:
Won't really work with a shifter on both handlebars.
Easy to accidentally ring if you ride with your hand on the grip.
If you only have a single shifter and need a sleek, easy to use bell, I can definitely recommend this one.

Well made, Nice Tone, Good Build Quality, for the right application., June 30, 2011

Mirrycle (the maker of this bell) makes great quality products. The convenience of one twist equals one ding is very nice, giving it a nice "brrrring" for a 90 degree twist. This bell is best suited for a single speed, a cruiser, or a internal geared bike hub. It interferes with the ergonomics of a trigger shifter, and, you will probably have to cut a grip to make the fit right and feel factory. Despite this, I have this bell installed on a set of Nitto Albatross bars, it feels so right. For the right application, this bell is the perfect solution.
