Great compact be-seen light, annoying button., April 9, 2010
|

I rode with this light for the past year, and I've been happy with the product. I'm not sure what was wrong with a previous reviewer's Knog Frog, but mine definitely had three modes: all-on, slow flash, quick flash. It was a great light for being seen, but you'll need something brighter if you need an actual headlight for seeing.
I ride with compact bullhorn bars, and the best part of the light is its compact nature. It took up very little room on my bars. The only issue I have is a pretty major one: the actual physical button is under rubber, so you press a rubber outline and in theory that should apply pressure to a plastic switch. In practice, if the rubber casing was at all out of alignment the light simply wouldn't turn on. I ended up using my bike lock key to turn the light on the majority of the time.
If the switch issue were addressed, I'd give this light a 5. Unfortunately, this is a major issue that comes up twice each time you use the light: both when turning it on and turning it off.

bad light for the price, February 7, 2010

I bought this light for 39.00 in a local bike store. it has 5 LEDs but is LESS bright than my 1-LED planet bike light. also really hard to turn on. apparently has 3 settings but doesn't blink or anything, as far as I can figure out. the only thing nice about it is the color and the wrap around handlebar feature. it would be a pretty cool light to carry around and just throw on your bike, if it actually worked.
