1.0 out of 5 stars.  Serious design flaws really limit usefulness..., November 21, 2009
By B.I.G. (Woodstock, MD United States)
This bike is obviously for the very casual rider - not for any serious rider. Just the fact that it is a fixed gear ratio limits your top speed to somewhere around 3~4 mph. Even with that understanding, this bike is disappointing. With all the riders weight on the rear two wheels, there is virtually no weight on the traction wheel. The result is that the bike can't climb any sort of grade - especially if the roadway is at all damp or sandy. The steering mechanism also gives the bike an absurdly large turning radius. These two facts really render the bike useless even for casual riding.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Traction front drive wheel, June 10, 2008
By Dennis Campbell (Sun Prairie, WI)
Only complaint I have with the Triton Pro is that even on dry pavement, with an adult, the front drive wheel will lose traction on a 5%+ incline. The weight distribution needs to be slightly increased over the front wheel. Perhaps by mounting the rear axle a couple of inches further back.

Otherwise, a nice little machine easily assembled.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Lunch time exercise, April 25, 2008
By N. Smith (Ontario, CA USA)
I bought this bike because i need exercise and i have a bad knee. The bike is not fast but it didn't need to be. i just needed to get out of my chair at lunch, and ride. Walking put a lot of strain on my knee because of my weight, but riding seemed like the thing to do. Besides the exercise i'm getting, it's fun. The bike is a little small but it works for me. If i were to do it again, i would buy the 20 inch model.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Middle-aged bike rider, March 26, 2010
By Gator Lady (Central Florida, USA)
I purchased the Pro Ultimate online 3 weeks ago. Observations: 1) Assembly 80 min. 2) Can be used by adults (250 pound wt. limit); easily adjusted to my 5'5" height. 3) This bike is for flat terrain ONLY and maybe very gentle slopes. 4) NOT for endurance or high fitness riding; there are no gears (picture Fred Flintstone!). However, it does glide well. 5) A great neighborhood cruising-type bike, and perfect for what I wanted it to do: light to moderate exercise AND being able to run the dog alongside for exercise. 6) Disappointment: after less than 3 weeks of riding about 5 miles per week, both back tires had to be replaced. One blew out and was worn down to the "mesh" all along the center zone. The other was almost as bad. Both back tires were of very poor quality. Customer Service gave me a partial credit towards new tires from a local bike shop, but this did not quite cover the whole cost. However, I did not want to hassle with returning the bike, especially since I thought I would get the same awful tires....and I liked the bike itself. Bottom Line: great for cruising on flat terrain, and perfect for exercising both the dog and a middle-aged fairly out-of-shape rider.....excellent stability since you are low to the ground........but you will most likely have to replace the tires.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great For Seniors, April 15, 2009
By BabyBoomer46 (Tx)
After my wife crashed and burned on her bike resulting in a broken ankle, I had reservations about getting her another. She wanted a 3-wheel "little ole lady" bike, but after spotting this one I convinced her to try it. She loves it and has me riding now. I ride several miles which takes me about 30 minutes and don't feel that tired afterwards. I just cruise along with my MP-3 player and enjoy the scenery.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Triton Pro for Adult Exercise, June 10, 2008
By Christine Leja
The Triton Pro is a good tricycle for exercise. Note that there is a significant difference from a child's tricycle. The Triton navigates with the rear wheels. The front wheel does not turn. This design causes wide turns.

The only problem that I am experiencing is that the pedals slip when pedaling up a slight incline (4%).

5.0 out of 5 stars.  My Niece LOVES this Triton!, July 16, 2007
By Steve (Torrance, CA, USA)
This triton is FANTASTIC! I bought one for my 9-year-old niece on her birthday and she LOVES IT! She is the HIT of the neighborhood. All of the kids come over to the house to take rides on the triton. They love the unique steering and adjustable length that makes it fun and functional. Now, instead of sitting in front of the TV playing video games, she is outside with her friends, having fun and exercising on her new triton three-wheeler! I am truly pleased with my purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  I love mine, May 3, 2010
By I.Y.A.A.Y.A.S (Way North)
I bought this so I could work out and not put much pressure on my spine. My kids kind of laughed when they saw it because of the flames on it. I took it for a spin out on our dirt road and I had no problems with handling once I got used to the steering. It won't turn on a dime and it isn't the fastest thing out there but it is very comfortable and easy to use. If you have arthritis in your knees, you find this easier to use. I found the pressure in my joints was not as hard as on a regular bike. I do wish it was faster and that it came in a more "adult" paint job but that would be my only complaint.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Love it, but could use some improvements., April 30, 2010
By Jennifer Malcom
I love this thing. I bought it mainly for my son who is moderately disabled, as he has trouble with balance on a two wheeler, even with training wheels. This is perfect for him. As for riding on inclines, I ride it uphill (small, long hills), though I do have to take frequent breaks, but that's the fun of it. I'm getting my body back into shape after years of no exercise! When I get off this thing, I'm exhausted, and my legs feel like jello, but OMG...what a workout! The side to side motion trying to get it uphill should give me some rippin' abs this summer, and my legs should be incredible, as well! I'm loving it and my son is driving me crazy wanting to ride all the time! LOL! It's a good thing... he's actually going outside to play!

Improvements could be made on the front wheel, but I think that has more to do with the tire than the bike itself. When the tires wear out, I will get better tires for it, and maybe even have a few improvements added, such as a more comfortable seat (with a bad back, this thing is not great. I think I need a straighter seat with more cushioning), and of course, the better wheels, and maybe see what can be done to make it go a little faster. It's definitely worth the money to me to have my son begging to go for a ride, than sitting in the house watching tv, and it's worth it for the workout I'm getting!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good trike at Amazon, June 14, 2011
By BG
I have read many of the review and did some research. For serious trikers, price is high, but that is for good quality. I purchased this for my back issue. The recumbent seat is great for my back and with the adjustable frame, the pedals are just right. Yes, it is true with only one speed and not inclines, this is a good trike. My sub-division is pretty much flat with some incline which provides a good workout for me. I am 61 and have not been serious about exercising in the past. This was the perfect choice for me. If I decide to go to the next level, then look for multi-speed trikes.

Many reviewers with the negative review are not truly bikers. You have to know what you want in a bike and at what level of work-out you want. These are key points to consider when looking for a trike., I did my homework and this is the trike I wanted for what I am doing. I enjoy just peddling around in the area. I am looking more for exercise without the worries about my back or other limiting problems I have. That is why I have not been serious about exercising. I have a stationary recumbent bike, but I got bored staying indoors. Now I have the best of both worlds. One for indoors for bad weather and winter temps. The Triton Pro is for outdoors and in fair to good weather.

This is why I purchased this trike. The rating is based on the fact I wished it had three speeds. It is pricy for single speed. Other than that I would have rated with five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Triton is a Triumph!!!, July 20, 2011
By Little Deuce Coop
The Mobo Triton Pro is a great bike for adults. My first test run was so much fun, it turned into a 5 mile ride. I called the company prior to ordering it and was transferred to a design employee. He helped me select the cruiser that was exactly right for me. I ordered it from Amazon, paid $3.99 extra for next day delivery, and was riding the next day!!! After losing 170 pounds and not being able to ride a regular bike because of subsequent knee damage, I am now able to ride a bike again!!! Now I swim 2 miles everyday, use my elliptical, and put some mojo in my Mobo (with my 106 pound dog trotting behind me). Life is good; thank you ASA products.Mobo Triton Pro - The Ultimate Three Wheeled Cruiser 20" Red

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Father-Daughter Time, October 22, 2010
By Happy Daddy
I am very happy with this bike. I ride this regularly with my daughter (who uses a smaller model) and we always have a blast. This is exactly the right of product we need to strengthen our father-daughter bond, in addition to all that: the product is FUN! I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a cruiser for light brisk rides or if you want to create precious family moments like myself.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Not Satisfied, October 21, 2010
By Laila
Very disappointed with the quality of the bike. It was not made to last. It's not the type of trike your looking for if your planning to go anywhere but around the block. It will not take any kind of incline whatsoever. I would recommend spending alittle more and getting a trike that is better made. If your purchasing the trike for exercise, this is not the bike for that. Although I will say that I had absolutely no problems returning the item and was refunded appropriately.

This bike is super fun with low price (under $400). It's adjustable. Kids and adults can enjoy the ride. This bike is not suitable for riding up hill.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bike, April 19, 2012
By C. Drew (Phila)
My son had smaller triton that was stolen! It was such a great bike. Wonderful for people with balance issues. He is 11y.o. and had one since 9yo. Make sure you keep pole and flag to alert cars since you are low to the ground. This model accommodates weight up to 220lbs and 6'0 so any adult or bigger kid can ride

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good for children. Not adults., December 25, 2011
By Mel Woolf
I tried it for a few rides. The 1 speed was not good for long rides. or up the hill. I ended up trading it in for a Terra Trike rambler. Save your money if you are an adult and buy the Terra Trike. The dealer I traded it in to said it was too pricey and not worth the $400. He only gave me $200 trade.
