5.0 out of 5 stars.  crank brothers cleats, July 7, 2010

a great example of the pricing power of online shopping. This basic cycling item was well over 30% less expensive than in bike shops.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Work good and last a long time, July 5, 2010
By Charles A. Miess (Glenwood, NY United States)
I've accumulated over 20,000 road miles on three different bikes using four pairs of shoes outfitted with Crank Brothers cleats. When installed correctly, they snap in and release nicely. I have never had an unintentionally release, nor have I ever had a pair wear out.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  ...they work, not too expensive, June 9, 2010
By C. Peck (California, USA)
You dont need the shoe shield - just pop them into your mountain bike shoe and go. Why add the weight?

Ive gone through 2 sets of actual eggbeater pedals and still havent needed to replace my cleats. Sure... they're about ready to go, but it goes to show how long they last.

Make sure that you put them on the correct direction (READ THE MANUAL), because it actually makes a slight difference with the release angle of your foot, depending on which way you screw them in. If you arent careful, you might have your left foot popping out at 15 degrees and right foot at 25 - disorienting in a tight situation.

Such an inexpensive way to get the positive engagement back from worn out cleats. Excellent way to improve your ride.

I'm using egg beaters in my mtb in south Florida and love them. My skill level has increased due to the egg beaters. They are also very light
