| | This vest is awesome! I tried all kinds of configurations for carrying water for long runs and this one is the best! Plenty of water, lots of storage. The top pocket is even big enough to carry a camera if you want to stop along your route and capture some pictures. The bite valve is a bit awkward. That's the only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars. You have to pull it open before you bite down. Not a big deal, just a bit awkward. Otherwise, I love the vest and won't use (or need) anything else on long runs.

| | This review is of the women's model, but the men's model is almost identical, just larger.
Bought this to replace a Camelbak pack for use in 12 hour Adventure Races. The pack blows every Camelbak pack I've seen or used out of the water in terms of adjustability, materials, and comfort. The broad vest material is much lighter and able to wick sweat than the material Camelbak uses. A chest strap slides up and down the front and adjusts the distance between - tightening it as you empty the bladder enables a consistent fit. The rubber "Y" at the base of the pack keeps the pack from swinging from side to side while you run, and from swinging off of your back and then slamming against you as well. The pockets are well placed and allow you to carry essentials. The narrowness is similar to many Camelbak packs and allows your most of your back to breathe, unlike wearing a full-size backpack that can accept a hydration bladder.
The only downsides I've come across are with the bladder. I've read several reviews that mentioned the bladder's seams failing, although I have yet to see this happen. After numerous biking trips, a backpacking trip, and several 10+ mile runs, the seams seem fine to me. The straw is of a large diameter though, and is more stiff than Camelbak straws. This makes it a little unweildy at times. I do not care for the mouth valve. It requires that you bite and pull a cap to allow flow - similar to a beefed up bike water bottle valve. If you don't keep suction on it while you are pulling it open, air will enter the line, which you then have to suck out to get the water - never had that problem with a Camelbak bladder. It is also nearly impossible to squirt water using this mouthpiece (which comes in handy sometimes, trust me).
Love the pack, but am purchasing a 2 Liter Camelbak bladder to replace the Nathan one.

| | I can't believe how much my wife appreciated me getting this the Nathan Intensity 2.0 Vest for her as a gift. She has thanked me many times and has referred to it as "fun." The Nathan Women's Vest is truly designed for women - rather than tinkering with the men's model and calling it a women's vest.
The vest arrived ahead of the projected time - arriving just in time to be worn on a six-hour trail race and then on vacation as we ran sections of the Appalachian Trail.
Great product - superb service!

| | I recently purchsed the Nathan Intensity Hydration Vest for women based on some of the reviews I read here and on some training blogs. I am a fairly new trail runner running distances of 10+ miles right now but in extremely hot weather.
This pack works great. I have had no problems with the valve as others may have mentioned. Filling it is just like filling any backpack hydration bladder, not hard but not exactly easy.
The cargo space on this pack is wonderful. The fit is perfect. No bouncing!!
My only "complaint" is that my back side did get a little warm but I wore a lighter shirt on my second run with the pack and it wasn't too unbearable.
Overall I am very happy with this product.

| | I got this pack for long runs because I live in the desert and it holds enough water for me to run 10-12 miles. I like it because it doesn't jostle too much and after 1/2 a mile I get used to it and don't really notice it. It is not as comfortable as wearing nothing, of course, but it is far better than carrying water bottles or using the waist pack. Pros: -vest is soft, breathable and comfortable -bladder holds a lot of water -there are plenty of pockets for a phone, keys, a snack and sunglasses -the chest strap height is adjustable for different torso lengths -the bladder opening is wide enough to put ice cubes in Cons: -mouth piece is a little awkward, not as nice as the bite valves on camelpaks -the little elastic bungee cords on mine ripped out of the seems after 2 uses -the bladder tubing does detach from the bladder like it does in camelpaks so not as easy to clean
Other than that, this pack is the best solution I have for staying hydrated on my long runs in the desert climate.
