4 out of 5 stars.  Gets the job done, October 26, 2009
I was very happy with a Cateye computer that I used back in the 90s. When I started biking again recently I couldn't find my old computer so I bought a Velo 8 as a replacement.
It works well, providing all the basics at a reasonable price.
Two small negatives about it
1. The cable is only long enough to reach the front wheel. This means you won't be able to use it on an indoor trainer. There's an extension cable available from Cateye, but then you're spending another $10.
2. The twist ties, when cut, present sharp edges that hurt when brushed against. My Cateye in the 90s used a screw, which was a better experience, but probably cost Cateye 5 cents more.

5 out of 5 stars.  very good product, October 11, 2009
I had been using my first Cateye for 15 year without any problem. This is my second one, good price, easy to setup and operate.

4 out of 5 stars.  Instructions suck, July 12, 2009
I like the bicycle computer. The instructions are just pictures and if you follow them, the thing won't work. After looking up the instructions online, I was able to look at the trouble shooting part. The picture instructions show the sensor thing on the outside of the fork, when, in reality, it should be installed on the inside, close to the wheel because it needs to be really close to the magnet to work. Once I figured that out, and put the sensor in the proper position, everything started working perfectly.

I had no trouble installing on my bicycle. I compared to other computers and it was right within .2

3 out of 5 stars.  You need really good eyes!, October 13, 2008
Probably this miny computer works well, but it's too small and difficult to read ...can you immagine to stop in the street and try to read the information you need?
