Product Description:
The RazorŪ A3 scooter is updated with larger, 125mm urethane wheels and ABEC-5 high-speed bearing. The front wheel is equipped with shock-absorbing suspension to help smooth out your ride. The aircraft-grade aluminum construction includes folding handlebars, rear fender brake, and a wheelie bar for tricks. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
The original kick scooter just got a whole lot better, making it even more fun for kids and teens alike. Though it'll never replace the internal combustion engine, the Razor A3 will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one's shoes in the process. Plus, it's a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest.

The Razor A3 is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Razor combined the traditional aluminum construction, however, with a number of recent innovations, including a springless shock-absorbing system that makes bumpy pavement feel smoother than ever and an all-new wheelie bar that guarantees an extra dollop of fun. Add in such details as 98 mm urethane wheels, ABEC-5 high-speed bearings, a patented rear fender brake, and a patented folding mechanism and you have a great kick scooter for virtually any situation.

This version of the Razor A3, which supports up to 143 pounds and is recommended for ages 6 and older. It's also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor Pro.

Key Features:

  • For riders ages 6 and older
  • Sturdy aluminum construction
  • Springless shock-absorbing system
  • Rear fender brake
  • ABEC-5 high-speed bearings
  • Patented folding mechanism

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Peforms better than what the manufacture states, September 13, 2008
By Michael J. Furay (USA)
It might say it only works for up 143-pound user weight capacity, but I'm here to tell you it works for 160 pound adults as well. It's primary use is by my 7 year old son. However, prior to purchasing my wife a bike I had to use this for family bike rides. Amazingly this scooter not only withstood a beating I put it through, but also was capable of speeds of fast biking on various paved terrains. Don't just buy one for you child make sure you put a quantity of 2 or more for the whole family when placing your order.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Smooth ride!, April 9, 2007
By Waxy (Palo Alto, CA)
This is a smooth ride. I chose this model based on an Amazon review which noted that the larger wheels make for a smoother ride. It's so fast that I can easily keep up with a bike. Lots of fun to ride.

The customer service at Razor is terrible though. They take weeks to respond to e-mails and they don't know about the products other than what is on their website. I had a difficult time researching which Razor to purchase. Thanks to all the Amazon reviews.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  My 2 year old son loves this scooter!!, April 9, 2009
By Brian P. Olson
My 2 1/2 son was always taking our neighbors scooter to ride. We decided to buy him one so the other boy could have his back! My son got so good on it that the balancing helped him ride a 2-wheel bike with no training wheels. He tries to copy the other kids and do jumps, it is so cute. So if my 2 year old can ride it, I give this product an A++!!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bicycle prep, February 22, 2007
By withChrist.net (Harlingen TX)
I have 6 children. 4 couldn't ride bikes. The scooters teach balance without worry about pedaling. The kids feel safer because they can hop off easier. Now, 5 out of 6 of my children are riding bikes and the last probably will be soon. Great toy!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  "We love them!", July 8, 2011
By Pacific Northwest
My 5 and 7 year old daughters and my niece and nephew love their scooters. They got them for Christmas and they have been a hit since. They are on them more often than their bikes. Great gift idea for this age range and up. Bonus in that I can buy one to ship to the relatives out of state for free. . . And Amazon's price was comparable or better than the local stores.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Has held up very well, October 16, 2010
By MyBikeScreams4Me (WI)
Have had for a little over three years and is holding up well. Not played with as much as bicycle however I think it's my son's personal preference. I love riding around on this too, it's a lot of fun and easy to navigate. Much safer and easier than a skateboard!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  great scooter, bigger wheels and brake, May 4, 2008
By Julie (Newton, MA)
We just bought these scooters for my daughter's 8th birthday and my son's 5th birthday. They both love them. I am hoping that my 5 year old will gain enough skill balancing on the scooter to ride a 2-wheeler bike soon. The bigger wheels and brake are nice features on this version of the scooter.
