2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not a good Fit, November 9, 2006
By Jeffery Breen (Central Coast, Ca.)
Did not fit into the handle bar on my recently purchased bike. It should have listed the minimum inside diameter of the handle bars it would accommodate.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Wish I had bought another brand., March 26, 2009
By Gert R. Andraeas (PA.)
I purchased two of these mirrors. The support made up of axle and screw to hold mirror in place doesn't tighten enough to work. The mirror just flops so I went to a local hardware store and bought what I needed to tighten the mirror so it is functional. Now I finally can use it! Very poor design in that area. I certainly would not recommend it to anyone else.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good mirror, bad joint, February 27, 2009
By bioinformatics researcher (Durham, NC)
I've been using this mirror for about a month now on my road bike. I like the size and shape of the mirror and that goes in the bar end, but I keep having to adjust the mirror's position. If I go over pavement that's too rough it gets jarred out of position. On my five mile trip to work I usually end up realigning while I ride on average 4 times. It does work, though, if you don't mind fussing with it every few miles. When I tried to tighten the bolt holding the joint further, it stripped the plastic housing that was supposed to be keeping the nut in place.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Little Mirror, September 20, 2011
By Sharp Photo
Great little Mirror easy to install directly into the handle bar. You will need to prep the interface parts of the attachment bracket in order to provide enough friction to keep the mirror in place while riding. Preping means you will have to sand or Lightly Rough-up the plastic interface surfaces with 120 sand paper before assembly (a two minuet job).

The only reason I could not give this product Four stars was that it needed some modification to work properly,,but otherwise it works great.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Rear view re-view, September 8, 2011
By nick
I agree with others that the linkages at a bit too loose. Installing it as is, I had to adjust it about 5 times on my 9 mile trek into work. I put a thin rubber O-ring under the screw to increase the pressure on universal joint and that worked satisfactorily. A small washer would also work just fine, but I wanted something compressible. You don't want it to be too rigid either. It needs to be able to move if you bump it. I can get to work and back now without having to touch it. Ideally, you ought to be able to install it as is. I like the oblong shape of this mirror. The elongated bottom give a wide view of the road behind you and provides a nice perspective.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Works Great, August 25, 2011
By Charles Alexander IV (Hammonton, NJ United States)
Installation was simple. Does'nt vibrate or shake when riding so approaching traffic is clear. Works as advertised and would recommend to others.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best mirror on the market for the price., July 15, 2010
By cojoeman (Windsor, Canada)
Installation on my Gary Fisher Zebrano took all of 5 minutes. The mirror is solid, doesn't vibrate on some of the worst urban roads you could ever possibly ride on (Windsor, Ontario) and provides a large and clear view of cars approaching from behind. I adjust it once and never adjust it again during the ride unless I inadvertantly knock it out of position. Collpases nicely when storing the bike too. I HIGHLY recommend this mirror for safety, functionality, ease of use and aesthetics...

5.0 out of 5 stars.  You'll see who's coming, July 6, 2008
By E. Garzaro (Western Burbs, IL United States)
I bought one of these for my trail bike. Assembly was a snap. The only thing I can see being a problem is with handlebar grips without a hole on the end. This mirror mounts directly to the tube portion of the handlebars. It works well. I wish it would hold its position permanently but the mirror is free to move after installation. I haven't had any problems with it moving while riding except for the occasional accidental hand nudge. If you want to see who is coming up behind you, I recommend this mirror.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Zefal Bike Mirrow, October 3, 2010
By Richard Olden (Benicia, CA)
This is the best bike mirror I have ever used. Much better than glueing a mirror to your helmet.
It is fully adjustable once installed with no apparent
blind spots.
Installation is relatively simple but in my case the handlebar opening was too narrow and I had to sand the pieces down to make them fit. It just took a little time and a little patience but, it can be done and the mirror is well worth the effort.
You won't regret buying THIS bike mirror

5.0 out of 5 stars.  The best bike mirror!!, July 16, 2011
By Lancetta
I've tried numerous mirrors on my bikes, and this one is the best! Once mounted into your bar end, there is no vibration problem, and it is fully adjustable, so you can angle the mirror very easily. One of my bikes has bar end shifters, and I didn't think I could use this mirror. I tried other bar mounted mirrors, and they were either in the way or vibrated so much that I couldn't see behind me. I asked my bike shop to mount the Zefal on my handlebar, close to the bar end, using a mount that they had in the shop, and which adapted well to the Zefal. Solved that problem perfectly! This is the only mirror I'll ever buy.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Tough install and hard to see behind you, September 8, 2011
By BIG DOGY (Virginia)
First off the installation of this was not complicated, but it was a pain. The design is a split end with a cone shaped piece that is drawn in with a screw which makes the split end expand. You have to keep pressure on the screw to keep the cone from sliding up and expanding the split end while inserting it inside the hadlebar. Also the cone is almost the same size as the inside of my handlebar which made it even harder. The second thing is the mirror is small and the position of it is sometimes blocked by my arm since it's right in line with the hadndlebar, this will vary with different style handlebars. I bought a similar mirror for my wife's bike, it has a L-shaped stem that moves the mirror out and up out so your arm doesn't block it. It's a bulkier design than this one, but it's easier to see out of. I guess this model is like a sports car, it looks good, but the windows are small and cause blind spots.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  not very useful, December 24, 2011
By Da Da Gary (Hewitt, TX United States)
I had an old mirror that mounted on the end of a flexible "stick" and could be bent into virtually any position and was really useful as a rear view mirror (I could see approaching vehicles). The old mirror finally broke after about 15 years of use, so it was time to replace.

I found this one and ordered it. First thing I noticed is installation is not very smooth due to the way it mounts inside the handlebar and requires cutting a hole in your grip end. Once installed it is really difficult to get the mirror aimed in a way that you can see approaching vehicles. And even if you are lucky enough to get it aimed, it seems to easily be jarred from it's aim and you are back to having a pretty looking, but useless object hanging off your handlebar. Oh, and it you remove it, now you have a hole in your grip!

I really can't recommend this item.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Awesome mirror!, December 14, 2011
By 2wheelsgood
Great mirror, could not have produced a better one myself. It fitted my Trek 4300's handlebar-end perfectly, and the adjusting/positioning is well designed - riding the bike over a curb - in other words a fairly harsh bump - may cause it to lose position, but cracks on the road or even small potholes are not a problem. No vibration and the view it provides is excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Love It, December 20, 2007

Love the mirror. It does not get in the way of my hand of the handlebars as other mirrors I have use.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Plastic mounting broke, February 8, 2012
By joeohtola
Plastic mounting broke. It appeared the plastic didn't fill right in the mold so it broke off too easily. I really liked the look and function but won't buy this one again

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great mirror, Great company!!, May 25, 2012
By S. Hart (Reading,PA USA)
After buying this mirror and using it for awhile i could not get it to stay tight when on a bumpy road. I got a little too agressive when i tried to tighten it and stripped the adjustment screw. I sent an email to Zefal and they relaced the whole mounting assembly no questions asked (They definitely got a lifetime customer for that). I did file a little of the mounting bolt /nut assembly off so as too give the clamp a little more adjustment. Mirror has worked fine since and i love it.
