| | I have panniers, but I was looking for a bag to put my valuables and they take them with me when I am away from the bike. I believe that this will do the trick:)

| | I was looking for a bag for commuting that would hold lunch and a light change of clothes, and not bankrupt me in the process. This bag fits the bill just about perfectly - it's not too big, not too small, and has a lot of nice touches, including small inside and outside zippered pockets, a mesh area on top which is perfect for holding sunglasses, carrying strap, and expandability. About my only complaint, which I think has been stated by other reviewers, is the Velcro straps for holding it to the rack could be a little longer.
I've been using it for about a month so I don't have any durability feedback, but so far, so good.

| | I set out to find a product that would be as close as possible to that which I would design from scratch. This Delta Trunk Bag comes awfully close. As described, material and zippers all seem to be first class. It seems that it DOES have some stiffening material in the sides to help keep it's shape, I hope it's some form of plastic and not cardboard. One very nice touch is a full length extension of the material covering the zipper around the top, essentially a flap to protect the zipper from dirt and grit.
Size fits my Blackburn rack perfectly. Without even needing to open the gusset, it holds a roll of tools, a folded up towel and a sweatshirt. While I may rarely need to open the gusset, it's great to have it there. BTW, indeed the zippers for the top and the gusset arrived all at the back of the pack, I simply slipped the gusset's zippers around to the front side where they can't interfere withy opening the top lid.
There are 6 attachment points, 2 on each side and 2 at the front to secure it from sliding back. Unfortunately, the 2 front attachment points seem designed ONLY for the Delta rack, they can not be used to secure it to my rather standard Blackburn rack. The 4 side attachments work fine, BUT the velcro attachment parts sewn onto the bag are very small. They are less than an inch long, while the strap part extends for about an additional inch and a half and connects to nothing, flapping in the wind. Looking at both my rack and the Delta rack, the same situation would play out. While they SEEM secure, seeing 65% of what COULD attach flap in the breeze is a bit disconcerting. I will be getting some velcro material and sewing on additional material so the whole length of the strap can be attached.
There is a somewhat thin strip of reflective material on the rear pocket... it would be better for it to be double it's current width. Also, there's no reflective material on the sides at all... again, having some there would be a very good design advance, and something I would mod the bag with.
At it's price point, it's a very good value.

| | This is a great bag for the price. Stays on rack without sliding around and holds a fair amount of stuff.
