5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great trunk bag for the money., June 29, 2008
By Mr. Allen (Indiana)
I've had this bag for a year now and It meets my needs very well. Easy to use and move from one bike to another. You will be very happy with this bag. FYI: You can put a 6 pack on beer in this and it will still close.

Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Little Pack, January 18, 2007
By Cynthia K. Levine (Williamston, MI United States)
I have one and bought a second for my daughter. I like the expandable design, although when you want to get inside it is easy to grab the wrong zipper and get the expand function rather than open the bag. Can not beat the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Almost Perfect, October 2, 2009
By P. Constantine (NY, NY)
I set out to find a product that would be as close as possible to that which I would design from scratch. This Delta Trunk Bag comes awfully close. As described, material and zippers all seem to be first class. It seems that it DOES have some stiffening material in the sides to help keep it's shape, I hope it's some form of plastic and not cardboard. One very nice touch is a full length extension of the material covering the zipper around the top, essentially a flap to protect the zipper from dirt and grit.

Size fits my Blackburn rack perfectly. Without even needing to open the gusset, it holds a roll of tools, a folded up towel and a sweatshirt. While I may rarely need to open the gusset, it's great to have it there. BTW, indeed the zippers for the top and the gusset arrived all at the back of the pack, I simply slipped the gusset's zippers around to the front side where they can't interfere withy opening the top lid.

There are 6 attachment points, 2 on each side and 2 at the front to secure it from sliding back. Unfortunately, the 2 front attachment points seem designed ONLY for the Delta rack, they can not be used to secure it to my rather standard Blackburn rack. The 4 side attachments work fine, BUT the velcro attachment parts sewn onto the bag are very small. They are less than an inch long, while the strap part extends for about an additional inch and a half and connects to nothing, flapping in the wind. Looking at both my rack and the Delta rack, the same situation would play out. While they SEEM secure, seeing 65% of what COULD attach flap in the breeze is a bit disconcerting. I will be getting some velcro material and sewing on additional material so the whole length of the strap can be attached.

There is a somewhat thin strip of reflective material on the rear pocket... it would be better for it to be double it's current width. Also, there's no reflective material on the sides at all... again, having some there would be a very good design advance, and something I would mod the bag with.

At it's price point, it's a very good value.

This is a great bag for the price. Stays on rack without sliding around and holds a fair amount of stuff.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  A great bag for the money, October 5, 2009
By Eric Pohl
I was looking for a bag for commuting that would hold lunch and a light change of clothes, and not bankrupt me in the process. This bag fits the bill just about perfectly - it's not too big, not too small, and has a lot of nice touches, including small inside and outside zippered pockets, a mesh area on top which is perfect for holding sunglasses, carrying strap, and expandability. About my only complaint, which I think has been stated by other reviewers, is the Velcro straps for holding it to the rack could be a little longer.

I've been using it for about a month so I don't have any durability feedback, but so far, so good.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  does the job, May 30, 2011
By bettylafea

for quick trip to the store, this is good. It does have a zipper so you can enlarge it on top. Only has one litter zipper pocket on the end. One good thing is the shoulder strap! Sides are cardboard in side, so not made for keeping things cold. Has a stretch pocket on top, but whoever designed this should have put the opening on the other side. When you expand it, the opening is on the down side, but it is nice for short quick trips. A keeper. I have other bags ,too for other trips.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Item not gray as shown in photograph, August 5, 2010
By uh okay (CA)
Just a heads up that the bag comes in black, not gray as pictured on the webpage as of 8/5/10.

Color issues aside, this bag is very good for the money. It Velcros on to any standard bike rack, is made of fairly sturdy canvas, and has a shoulder strap -- what else could you possibly need? Considering most panniers and clip on messenger bags start at $80, this is quite the bargain for those who only have a small amount of groceries or a lunch box to carry.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Quality, Nice design, June 19, 2010
By F. Moreau (Maple Falls, WA USA)
I bought this bag several months ago and have used it quite a bit. I have biked recreationally for over 600 miles in rain and dry and I haven't had a single problem. The bag attaches easily to my generic rack and I have never had a problem with it shifting or coming loose. I thought is secure enough that I was tempted to just leave it attached to the rack when I haul my bike home. Decided I'd rather not find out if it were really that secure.

It is roomy enough to carry a bike tool set, a spare tube, a CO2 inflater, a small camera, a rain suit, a bottle of water, sandwiches and a windbreaker. I did have in the expanded mode to make it all fit, but I didn't have to stuff either. Inside it is just basically a big open space that you can arrange however you like. There is a zippered pocket along one side, I use this for my wallet and keys, and a small pouch on the other side. Well worth what I paid for it.

By RoadiJeff (Wildwood, Missouri United States)
I've had one of these for 7 years and it time to replace it. I'm getting another one of the same model so that should tell you how much I've liked my original over the years. Great product at a good price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Quick and easy to use, February 19, 2010
By Calvin Clift (Little Rock, Arkansas USA)
I have panniers, but I was looking for a bag to put my valuables and they take them with me when I am away from the bike. I believe that this will do the trick:)

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Pretty good for the money, June 8, 2011
By David Bland (Teaneck, NJ USA)
It is what it is. I agree with the other reviewers that the velcro straps have a very small surface area where they connect, so if your rack is the wrong size it might not fit well. But I don't have that problem. Other than that it's quite spacious and seems to be built well

I haven't had an opportunity to use this yet but it fits perfect with my saddle bags. I am excited to use this on our trip in June. It will hold my extra essentials.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works like a Dream, May 2, 2011

Sleek, slender, stays tight on the rack. Exactly what I wanted, and expect it to last forever. Or, sometime close to forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bike bag!, November 16, 2010
By C. Kauffman (San Francisco, CA)
Others mentioned that the velcro strips are short for attaching this bike bag to a bike rack, however, mine fits absolutely perfect on my non-brand bike rack! Measure your bike rack and compare to the bike bag dimensions, and if they are close, there should not be a strap problem!

This bag is very well made; does not collapse, is very secure on my bike. It is about the size of a six pack, so don't expect to get a five-day change of clothing in it, but for day trips it is perfect! I spent probably more than an hour searching on the Internet for bike bags and reading reviews because I'm particular about my bike items -- and this bag is perfect!! --
