| Product Description: | | | | | The Lund hitch-mounted cargo carrier installs into a 2" square receiver and has a 500-pound capacity. This carrier features a black powder-coated finish, pre-punched holes for attaching accessories, and tie-down straps to secure cargo. Weight of cargo must be distributed evenly to prevent damage to carrier or hitch. | |

| | This is a sturdy cargo carrier that adds a lot of space in your vehicle. I have a Pontiac Torrent with a UHaul hitch. The carrier fit great. Assembly went well, and the carrier held all my luggage plus some other items so a decent weight. As in other reviews, the carrier does stick out from the back of your vehicle however this allows room for you to access your back hatch/gate. Even though it sticks out in the back, I could not see it in my mirrors. When I arrived I just folded up the carrier and it didn't stick out much at all, so no worries when backing. I was supprised how quite this carrier is. No ratteling in either position. I think it would be a good idea to buy two hitch locks though. One for the hitch and one for locking the carrier when it is in the up position. It comes with a pin but if your at a hotel you never know what people will take. I strongly recommend this cargo carrier.

| | I purchased this item for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. As a sportsman, this product has helped me bring home the bacon AND the venison without them riding inside with me! I LOVE the folding feature. It really helps with the parking and gives another layer of security for the back hatch. The way the hinge is constructed you do not lose 2 inches off your hitch height/ground clearance (as in some knockoff folding carriers). The metal mesh is VERY strong and sturdy, yet enables law enforcement to view your tag and taillights(so you don't get a citation for obstructing their view or cause an accident b/c someone can't see your brake lights. Assembly is very easy. Took me less than 30 minutes by myself. I highly recommend this product for any sportsman currently using an SUV (Grand Cherokee, wrangler, tahoe, rodeo, blazer, explorer, expedition just to mention a few). Get the 60in version--you will be glad you did! THE EXTENDED RAILS IN THE PICTURE ARE AN OPTION--personally I am glad it did not come with it. I would have taken them off anyway. I do recommend getting two locking hitch pins, one for your receiver and one for the hinge portion (just helps keep the honest people honest out there) Bottom line--This is an OUTSTANDING PRODUCT! Kudos to Lund for their design and to Amazon for their great deals!!! Thank you for your time. ;)

| | The cargo carrier was excellent quality, however there were times where some holes did not line up perfectly. All in all the carrier was very much worth what I paid for it.

| | I recently bought this cargo hitch and I have been very pleased with it's performance. It was slightly difficult to put together and maybe I did something wrong but I have been unable to fold it up as described. It is a sturdy cargo hitch overall! Q.A Florida

| | I really think this product is a great idea. The folding carrier makes it great to bring a load of cargo somewhere, dump it, and fold up and not have to worry about backing up into something later on. I am using it on a Dodge Grand Caravan, and sometimes you have to watch out it doesn't scrape on the ground because the hitch on my van is mounted low. If this were used on a pick-up truck or SUV it would probably have pleanty of clearance all of the time. I also cut two pieces of 1/4" plywood to use as inserts in the carrier over the metal mesh support. This gives me a solid support on the angle iron sides, and more confidence that I will not break the metal mesh by accident. I know that if the mesh were solid, I probably could not lift the carrier by myself. I like it!!! It does stick out far from the back of my van, but I can open the back door, and then stand in the space and have access to that cargo space in the van. I would also suggest a locking hitch pin to keep this from coming out of the hitch. I had a hitch installed specifically for the carrier, and neither came with a hitch pin!
