5.0 out of 5 stars.  Juggling is fun; learning is easy, June 17, 2008
By Terry (Pennsylvania)
Like the title says, a step by step instruction manual that even I can understand. The book breaks the process down into easy parts, and walks you through very well. If only it could get me to actually juggle right, but I am determined. I believe it is like riding a bike - once you get the hang of it, it will become second nature. Of course, they provide the juggling bean balls, which is a real bonus. Great book!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  It works!, June 21, 2008
By Zen Ko (USA)
I followed the clear instructions that includes very helpful pictures.
I practiced 5 minutes a day and within 2 weeks I had the basic 3 ball juggle worked out - but I was not very good! After 12 months of occasional practice I can keep the 3 balls moving for 40 throws before I drop something! If I manage 80 throws I'll try and attempt some of the other tricks in the book!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  One of the bags broke ..., December 19, 2008
By T. Cook (Houston, TX United States)
I learned to juggle with this book when i was a teenager and am very excited to give it to my nieces and nephews as they approach that age. I bought 4 and have given away 2 of them so far. After about 3 hours of play one of the bags dropped to the floor, of course, and the seam burst. Now we don't have enough bags! We can sew it up, but it's very disappointing to me considering I STILL have the bags my uncle gave me back in the 80's. It's a FUN and GREAT book, but they just don't make juggling bags like they used to...

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for the elderly too!, January 15, 2010
By Virginia (Mid-Atlantic)
My father, in his 70s, asked for this for Christmas from Amazon. As a result of a kind of stroke that happened after he received medication for a heart attack (the medication causes problems in a very small percentage of patients and we were just very unlucky) years ago, one of his hands has always been a little stiff - a concern because he plays piano. He thought this would help with aging problems - keeping active, helping maintain flexibility, a little exercise. He has been very much enjoying this book and this product, says it is much better than sitting around reading! Obviously enjoying this a lot and learning something new. He is frailer than he was and less mobile, so I am happy for any product that brings him fun. Thanks Amazon! - I can always count on Amazon for Christmas, stuff always comes in when it should, problem-free and a great selection - who would have thought my Dad would learn to juggle?

I gave this to my adult son. He had never juggled before and now is a juggling whiz! Great fun and you really can learn how to juggle.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Timeless classic for performance art and fitness, January 3, 2010
By Van, emvc (at) lycos.com (Honolulu, Hawai'i, USA)
"Juggling for the Complete Klutz" is a timeless classic for good reason. It breaks down an arcane and occult discipline so that even I could get the idea. In the thirty years since this book's first edition, there have been many knock-offs, but none better. With this book, the attached juggling bags, some time, and a LOT of perserverence anyone one who has anything like normal mobility in their arms and shoulders can juggle.

The relevance for performance art is obvious, but the authors dig into the subject a little further, discussing advanced techniques and introducing some basic showmanship.

Fitness? I thought you'd never ask. Coordination may be the most neglected aspect of physical fitness, and juggling does wonders for it. But with slightly heavier bags, balls, or other objects to juggle, muscular strength and endurance will get a solid workout. One cycle of juggling might not take much, but keep it up for fifteen minutes, and your shoulders, hands, and back will have a memorable workout.

Juggling is a discipline that will benefit anyone who practices it, and this book is the best place to start.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Juggling step by step, February 22, 2010
By Judy (Philadelphia, Pa)
This is a good book for would-be jugglers. It takes you step by step through the juggling process. I wish it had suggested juggling with scarves first so you could get the feel of it before using 3 balls.
Good book!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A great gift for an 8 year old, January 10, 2010
By Beau Raines (Seattle, WA USA)
This set was a great gift for my 8 year old son. He loves it and it was one of the more popular Christmas gifts this year.

I didn't realize (not reading all of the fine print) that this book came with the juggling balls, so I did buy a separate set of juggling balls. Really, it was my fault, as I was only looking at the pictures in the searches and not reading the full descriptions.

But now, we have two sets of juggling balls.

I've been watching him and been picking up juggling. The book has a pretty easy to follow instructional style!

It'll be really cool to see my son master juggling. Hopefully, he doesn't get so good and run away to the circus!

If you know someone who would like to learn to juggle. This is the book for them. Easy to understand, easy to follow, and includes 3 juggling bean bags. It's the complete package.
I was able to get fairly competent within a week or two. It is so easy, that you'll want to learn more and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A classic that still does the job, August 26, 2008
By OnTheBay (Berlin)
Whether young or old, everyone with even a modicum of coordination can learn to juggle by following the instructions in this slim book. Of course, the key is practice, but here you'll learn all of the techniques and exercises you need to amaze your friends and family, and feel smug while doing it!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Learn to Juggle, June 4, 2010
By J. Marcus Hinson (Georgia)
I bought this product for my seven year old son and initially thought he would be a bit too young to follow the instructions. He can read relatively proficiently and there are written instructions provided; however, the pictorial instructions are outstanding. He is slowly getting the hang of the basics of juggling, and I can tell his hand-eye coordination is improving. I used the Klutz Juggling book and bags to learn to juggle in the 1980s and now the skill is like riding a bike--you never forget. The quality of this set is excellent, especially the bean bags which are nicely weighted and durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Fun!!, January 9, 2012
By MaryM
My grandsons are having a great time learning to juggle with this book. Their father learned with the same book many years ago and is thrilled to see his sons having as much fun as he did with the same thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Better for adult than kid, September 14, 2011
By Abril B Turner (Costa Mesa, CA United States)
The book does a great job breaking down the act of juggling step by step. My only complaint is that the juggling balls were too large for my 11 year old's hands to manage. I ended up making smaller bean bags for her to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A worthy gift, February 7, 2011
By Gadget Freak
I bought this as a gift for my wife, who learned the art juggling late in her life. She got really good at it practicing with this product.
She brings these nice 'square balls' out when we have kids visiting, and you must see the wonder in their eyes when they see her juggling!
Anyone who wants to learn the art of juggling, this is what you want.
Inexpensive and a lot of fun.

The book was good, but the picture of it showed three juggling 'balls' as well and I did not receive them. Should I have?

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A Juggling Classic, September 12, 2009
By Robert L. Sanders (Lowcountry, SC USA)
This is the second time I've bought this book. I first bought it over a decade ago. I like the feel of the bean bag cubes that are included with the book. The book contains simple pointers that will help you get started and inspire you on your juggling career.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Buy it for everyone on your Christmas list, October 24, 2008
By once and future teacher (Ketchikan, AK)
I received this as a birthday present and promptly bought 3 more to give as Christmas presents. The book is clear and humorous. It will teach you what you need to know to join the circus if you're willing to put in the time, but the authors recognize that most people aren't that ambitious, and provide simple instruction for the novice to keep 3 objects aloft with relatively little practice. I was able to get the basics after a few days of intermittent practice, and while my juggling display doesn't last long, it's still great fun. I used my newfound skills to keep my kids (ages 4 and 1) entertained in the airport during a 3 hour layover, they find watching me mess up even more exciting than watching me juggle successfully.
