5.0 out of 5 stars.  Compact, concise, comprehensive, July 11, 2010

What a smart idea. This deck of 50 bike routes comes in a durable box that keeps the cards in good condition. The cards themselves are of a sturdy coated cardstock that you can easily take along with you, without having to lug an entire book. Brilliant!

The cards are color coded - brown cards are off-road, green cards are paved and blue cards indicate a waterside route. Within these three categories, riders can select from a great variety of routes: long or short, hilled or flat, easy to difficult. You can travel on-road, over creeks, through mountains, around reservoirs, down hills and along the sea. Skill levels range from casual to expert.

The 50 routes span a large geographical range throughout the Bay Area. Each card has a detailed map and excellent written instructions that are sure to keep you on route. My husband loves this deck. It was a great introduction to the fabulous bike routes of the San Francisco Bay Area. Recommended.
