Product Description:
The World Champion approved Kuota Kalibur lives up to its reputation. It is a lightning fast bike that just flat out performs. The Ironman is tough and this bike is on the "must have list for many of todays pro athletes. The Kuota Kalibur is shaped to slice through the wind...and the competition! This is the bike that put Kuota on the map. Norm Stadler holds the Kona course record against the worlds best athletes...he managed to hold 26mph for 112 miles! The Kuota Kalibur frame starts at 1080 grams (2.4 lbs!). The monocoque frame, rear wheel cut-out and internal shifter housing tells the world this bike is all about going fast. It is a low and lean machine that is so easy to handle all you will have to focus on is turning the pedals. The Kalibur starts with a race-ready geometry. Its 76-degree seat tube angle provides the "go fast position you just cant get on a road bike. The steep seat tube position gets the rider over the pedals so they can utilize their quad power. While this provides for more power to the pedal it also leaves the legs fresh coming off the bike and heading out for a run. The Kalibur is built with the best in the business Shimano components. For starters is the Shimano Dura-Ace 10-speed shifters perched on the Profile T2 aero bars and comfortable extensions. Shimanos precise performing Ultegra SL front and rear derailleurs do all the transmission work as the Shimano gears keep the speed coming. The compact 50/34 crank paired up with the Shimano 12x25 rear cassette gives the pilot a perfect ratio of gears to find the awards table when all is said and done. A little racing tip: Pushing a big gear on the bike will only lead to a long walk to the finish line. Dont smoke those legs! Spin those pistons and save it for the run. Triathlon is a tough sport so the San Marco Azoto saddle provides the comfort you deserve for those glorious long days in the saddle tearing down the road.
