4 out of 5 stars.  Perfect for a small netbook, August 25, 2010
I have a 9" Asus netbook and this bag is the perfect size to carry that and a couple of other small items. The ID holder is a bit out of place though, who wants to carry their ID on the outside of the bag? The little pockets on the outside are a bit too small. The only thing I can think to put in there are a pair of earbuds. Seems fairly well made and looks decent, not to much of a murse for me to carry around.

2 out of 5 stars.  A So-So Messenger Bag, August 24, 2010
Relatively small, doesn't hold a lot in the main compartment and the side pockets are only big enough for a cell phone or a pair of shades and nothing else. Otherwise, the construction is sturdy. Just don't expect much utilitarian value.

5 out of 5 stars.  Bag strap measurement - about 53 inches, July 26, 2010
Before buying this bag, I needed to know how long the strap of this bag was when fully extended, and I am sure others might need to know as well. Many, many manufacturers don't list this measurement (including this manufacturer) and I can't think why - people come in all sizes, like tall, pregnant (or both), etc., etc., and if they are going to buy online, they sometimes need to know if the bag is going to fit them. So, according to the tape measure from my sewing kit, the Urban Explorer Canvas Shoulder Bag strap is about 53 inches from end to end. In other words, if you hang it over your shoulder, the bag will fall about 26.5 inches down the length of your body. Of course, the strap is adjustable so you can shorten if you need to.

As for the rest of the bag, I like it very much. Others have detailed the pockets, closures, etc. so no need to repeat all that. I bought it to replace a very heavy leather messenger bag that I'd had for years, and which was causing me back pain. This new bag is much appreciated for its comparatively lightweight canvas; it's sure been easier on my back since I do wear it cross-body. The bag is big enough to hold a full-size wallet, a bottle of Tylenol, a hairbrush, a coin purse, a big bunch of keys, cell phone, book or Kindle, a couple of cosmetics, and quite often my lunch too. I for one appreciate the little plastic ID pocket. I put my bus pass in it and it's nice not to have to fumble for it when boarding the bus... although it must be said that since I do have to lift the flap of the bag to show the pass to the drivers (the flap of the bag I got covers the ID pocket rather than sitting just above it like the photo shows in this product description), it always feels a little like I am flashing them... oh, well!

5 out of 5 stars.  Love this bag!, July 23, 2010
Love this bag! The many pockets make it the perfect bag for everyday work, as well as my new carry-on bag of choice when I travel for work. I can't wait to take it to Europe this fall.
The bag is roomy enough to fit a shirt or light sweater with ease, but not bulky. It is low-profile, keeps you organized and looks great. the shoulder strap is easily adjusted to fit to your liking. Now your cell phone doesn't have to mingle with your book, water, keys and snack for on-the-go anymore. Everything has its own place. Fabulous!

5 out of 5 stars.  SOLID, DEPENDABLE, EFFICIENT, June 28, 2010
It's not very stylish, but this bag is the most practical, useful and durable carry-all I've got, and the price is amazing. Mine is black and roomy enough for a cross-body, passport-type small bag that I can pull out for quick trips. I can't put makeup, cell phone, Moleskine, and other necessary stuff in the small bag, so I stash it all in my Urban Explorer; it has a lot of pockets, an interior zippered section, and enough unstructured space that I can have it hold my passport cross-body. I can carry my Urban Explorer for hours -- the straps are wide and so is the bag, so it hangs well. All in all, it's worth twice the price and I'll never be without one!
