Bicycle baskets are the definition of functionality. By simply clamping a bicycle basket to your handlebar or rack, you can easily carry more stuff to and from where ever you may be pedaling.
The Wald front handlebar bike basket is ideal for carrying groceries and other smaller items. | The versatile Wald 3133 front basket is no exception, with a large basket area that makes it easy to carry groceries, picnic items, and other essentials while riding. The versatile basket bolts to your front handlebar via a Wald holder. The holder offers plenty of clearance between the bar and the basket--helping it accommodate your bike's shifters, cables, and brake levers--but still holds tight to your bike. Bike baskets also offer a number of secondary benefits. They help prevent riders from carrying items in their hands, keeping their focus where it belongs. They also help balance the excess weight appropriately, so you won't feel off kilter each time you round a corner. They can even impact your wallet by saving you money on gas when running errands. And, of course, they can contribute to your physical and mental wellbeing, as bike riding is terrific exercise and helps clear the mind. Available in powder-coated white or gloss black, the Wald 3133 basket measures 14.5 by 9.5 by 9 inches (W x H x D).

great basket!, August 23, 2010

I bought this basket after a trip to Scandinavia. Everyone there had bikes with baskets and I used one on a tour of Helsinki. My boyfriend installed the basket and reported that it was easy to install. It is sturdy and holds my purse, water bottle, and whatever items I buy on a quick trip to the store. I highly recommend this basket.

Nice basket, easy to mount, sturdy, August 13, 2010

I like the look of this basket and had no trouble mounting it on my bike. I especially like that it's not too wide but is nice and deep. (Note that I have an extra-long head tube on the front of my bike, so the basket sits far above the wheel.) The basket is very easy to lift off and return to its bracket. I like the black color very much -- it matches my bike and looks very smart. I do find my bike a little awkward to maneuver when I fill the basket with bags of groceries. You definitely do not want to place very heavy items in the basket because it will set off the balance of the bike. Finally, the price is very reasonable for what you get.

Great basket, August 11, 2010

I am a college student and ordered this bike basket because I needed something that could help me get groceries back to campus. I have been very pleased with the product -- it is very large and sturdy, and yet you can pop it off and take it straight into the store with you in no time flat. I gave minus 1 star only because it rattles a bit when you're biking around on a bumpy road or sidewalk, but otherwise I have been 100% pleased with it! Very well made!

wald 3133 bike basket, August 6, 2010

This is a great basket. I was able to install it within about ten minutes with just a phillips head screwdriver. I have a biria easy step bike and it fit my bike perfectly, and looks great. As far as lifting it off and puting it back on the bracket it seems to work pretty well although I can't see me talking it off except maybe when the bike is on car carrier.
The fit is tight without any rattle when I ride. Basket is big enough for a milk jug and maybe a few smaller items, so I don't think it's practical for much more than the bread and milk run to the store, but hey anything more and I would use the car.

Doesn't fit thick handlebars, August 6, 2010

I had to return the basket because it wouldn't fit around my handlebars. I wish they'd provide measurements so I could have checked beforehand. I have a Jamis road bike.
