5 out of 5 stars.  Way better than a sippy cup!, August 27, 2010
My 2 1/2 year old has been using sippy cups and straw cups that leak all over the place and many don't fit in a cup holder. Since I just got a new car, I had to find an alternative cup/bottle fast! After purchasing and trying several different types, the CamelBak Kids Bottle is by far the best! It does not leak (though a little come out the straw the first time you close it but only if you fill it all the way to the top), he had thrown it several times with no leaking or craking, it is easy enough for me to screw open and close but not enough for the little one, the flip of the straw is easy to operate and my 2 1/2 year old loves doing it himself. If you have a toddler that has not used a bite straw (where you have to suck while biting down) it takes a few tries to get used to it. At first he tried and didnt get it but after 2 more tries, he got it and loves it. I have to buy more because he does not want to drink out of anything else!

2 out of 5 stars.  Why should your child learn to bite to drink from a straw?!, August 10, 2010
I did not end up buying this product although it was attractive (my son loved the dinosaurs)! I liked that it had a straw -- no tipping back like a sippy cup! -- and had a small volume for kids. My 3-yr-old asked, "how does the juice come out?" I read the directions, and the child has to bite on the straw to get the straw opening to open. How strange! I dislike it when kids bite down on the plastic straw to drink (take out sodas)... this further encourages that habit.

4 out of 5 stars.  My daughter loves her new water bottle, August 2, 2010
My daughter loves her new water bottle - so much that we bought a second one. Same quality as the adult version. My only critique would be that it is more difficult than the adult version to dissassemble and clean, but that it a minor point ... I wish we had discovered these sooner.

5 out of 5 stars.  Best by Far!, July 27, 2010
After years of trying just about every kid's bottle and sippy cup on the market, I am thankful that I finally discovered the CamelBak kid's bottle. At first I was apprehensive because of the cost, but trust me, they are well worth it! When specifically looking for a kid's cup there are a number of things that I look for; some of which are:

First, that it is BPA free. Second, that it is dishwasher safe & easy to assemble. Thirdly, that the bite valve does not fray or become hazardous after a decent amount of use. (We still have had no problems after 6-months, which is a record for us.) Furthermore, I love the fact that these cups truly do not spill. Moreover, they hold enough fluid, so that I do not constantly have to refill; yet, they are still light enough for the kids to carry for themselves, which is great especially when we are on the go. Plus, the kids think they are "cool." Making them a win win in our house!

I am actually ordering more today since we will need extra once school begins.
