Good day pack, July 12, 2010
Overall this is a good day pack. Bladder holds plenty of water to last all day. Pack has plenty of room to hold everything you need for a day hike. Lunch, jacket, accessories, etc. I marked it down from 5 stars for two minor complaints. The shoulder straps don't attach directly to the pack, so there's a slight lump where they sit under the D ring, so they can get slightly uncomfortable with a heavy load and a full day's use. Also the waist strap is too narrow with not enough padding where it sits on your hips. These two things are not overly uncomfortable, but they are noticeable after a long day.

Very Comfortable, bought for Grand Canyon Rim to Rim hike, March 25, 2010
I'm going on a rim to rim hike at the Grand Canyon in June which will reach 100+ degrees at the bottom so I need a good hydration pack and I'm hoping this is the one. I will update this review after I get back. I went on a short hike up South Mountain and tried out the pack and was very impressed how comfortable it was with the bladder completely full. I like how this pack has the waist and the chest strap for comfort and support for when I have it full of water, snacks, and any extra equipment that I will need for the long hike coming up.

Over the years I have gone through a number of different day packs by different manufactureres, but this one has become my favorite. It is studily constructed and well designed. The pack has everal interior pockets to help organize small gear and a comfortable suspension system for all day wear.

I just used this pack for a 8 hour adventure race. Th ere was plenty of room for cargo i needed. The side pockets are great for food items, extra bottles and any other small items you might want to carry and the 100 oz. reservoir is plenty of fluid to keep you going for hours!!
