handy tray, but you can improve it..., July 17, 2010

SEE INSERTED PICTURE ABOVE. I like this tray, pretty sturdy, but I made one improvement. I added some rare earth magnets and collars one uses in woodworking to hold cabinet doors closed. [...] has some in varying sizes, just search rare earth magnets. Anyway, just use a wood screw to screw it to the tray, I used a washer under the collar since my screw was a tad too long. (poke a small hole in the tray where you want the magnet to go). Now you can keep those small parts handy without them getting lost.
The PCS-10 stand has the mounting collar needed to mount the tray, the PCS-9 does not, and I almost bought it; glad I got the PCS-10.

I didnt think this would be all that useful, but I got it as a gift along with my Park Tool stand. Much to my surprise, its super handy and along with a magnetic bowl makes keeping your crap in line easier than normal.

This tray is excellent keeping everything handy as you work or clean your bike. Be sure to buy the optional collar for your stand to lock the tray in place.
