A jewel in the Caribbean! Travel along the cliffs and white-sand beaches of this quiet island's turquoise waters in Bike-O-Vision's journey around the largest of the US Virgin Islands. The tour takes you through rain forests, hilly pastures often glimpsing one of the 18th century ruins of the former capitol of the Danish West Indies. This is a great journey for a wintery day! 75 minutes in length

Great concept and filing but video quality is lacking, August 2, 2010

PROS: I use this for spinning and the video is very well made. Nice scenery and varied terrain. The videographer is obviously a biking enthusiast. There are level runs, gradual inclines, steep hills and nice views. On your exercise bike (or spin in my case) you can adjust the tension on the flats, when a hill is coming crank down and get up on the pedals, then when you hit the top of the hill, drop down and loosen the tension. The pacing and terrain is EXCELLENT. This is great fun and makes spinning more enjoyable and helps you build your own programs
CON: The video quality is low. In today's HD world, this is sorely lacking. Too bad as the views and scenery would be stunning in a better video format.

Don't judge by the cover, May 5, 2010

The written description & the photo on front cover suggest that the scenery will focus on ocean views but the main views include just roads ...and more roads (complete with yellow lines!) with weeds on both sides. 97% road / fields and maybe 3% ocean views. Honestly, they could have been some of the same roads I travel in Kentucky. They looked the same. I was so disappointed. Why would a person want to look at roads, and roadside weeds, while on an island famous for beautiful beaches. The positve part is that forCycling made the return extremely simple.

This is a beautiful video. As you stationary bicycle around the island the ocean is always visible and the colorful music keeps you motivated. It's certainly cheaper than flying.

The St. Croix journey is real "Island pleasure" on a cold day!, July 25, 2007

I love cycling indoors (or out) and this dvd is just what I'd been looking for and a great compliment to workouts. The island scenes are great because I've been wanting to visit the Virgin Islands for awhile and haven't had the chance. Beautiful place to take a vacation too. The realistic forward views keep you pushing ahead. I ended up getting all the dvds. It's probably the best investment I've made other than my stationary bike. Many interesting and scenic rides- I'll never get bored. I like the lack of distracting commentary, cyclists on the screen in front of my views, and graphics found in the other DVDs I've tried. I recommend this one and am looking forward to their next one.
To the "Gabe" review: I have the whole set of cycling dvds by Bike-O-Vision and there is one DVD that is 35 minutes called the "European Sampler", but St. Croix is definitely 75 minutes long. Better check and see if you got them mixed up maybe?

Its not 75 minutes long as advertised, April 21, 2007

This DVD is outstanding and I am going to order the highest rated Bike-O-vision DVDs. I use it several times a week while riding my exercise bike, I find the music to be immersive and appropriate to the scenery, and I often find myself unconsciously speeding up my pace when on downhill sloping sections of video footage or I change my pace to match the music. About the music -- music is a subjective experience. I can imagine how some people might not like the variety of music which ranges from (what I call) "steel-drum-salsa" to classical music. So have your own music handy, just in case the music doesn't work for you. I suggest Reggae and Steel drums. So why only 4 stores? Because I feel like Bike_o_Vision bilked me with false advertising concerning the length of the DVD. I have no idea how Bike-O-Vision can get away with claiming on the box that it is "75 minutes long" when it is closer to 45 minutes and includes several minutes of unavoidable advertising at the end. If the video and music had not been so good, I would have returned it because I feel like I payed for 75 minutes and only received 40-45. I will be sure to time the DVD with a stopwatch on my next ride, and post the exact time here. My workouts are an hour and 5 minutes, so no matter the exact length of the DVD, this discrepancy is a little inconvenient and it would be nice to be able to choose the duration of the workout as you can on many Yoga DVDs.
