3 out of 5 stars.  Toning, March 3, 2010
I was excited to try out Robert Sherman's cycle challenge workout and wasnt disappointed with the spinning part. However the music can do some improving. As for the toning exercises, he talks way too much and assumes that everyone following his workout is more than a beginner. I appreciate the fact that he explains the muscle he is working on with regard to proper form but there is no need to explain further than that. The flow is too slow to feel the benefits of the toning segment. I was waiting too long in between sets before he begins the next move.

5 out of 5 stars.  Great Ride!!!!, February 13, 2010
I love this instructional DVD... it's like having a personal trainer right in your home. Sherman does not take you on a wild ride, rather he provides a well-paced cardio and strength training routine with breaks just when you need them, along with stretches which allow enough time to catch your breath. The core training segment is also very good but since I don't have some of the equipment which is used, I only do the spin segment.

4 out of 5 stars.  Everything I expected and more, November 4, 2009
Robert Sherman does a great job in taking you through a great workout. I was expecting, the Spin Class but found an added bonus of having an off-bike strength training and stretch sessions as well. I found the workout to be progressive with a little for everyone. My wife who has never been in a Spin class is starting out with the warm up ride and stretch portions of the DVD, myself as a Triathlete am enjoying the more advanced levels of the ride. Robert Sherman's DVD is just packed with useful tips and he talks you through the entire workout. I have found the advanced portions of his workout challenging. I can see that I will be working with this DVD for quite some time to come.

1 out of 5 stars.  Cycle Challenge DVD, May 10, 2009
I was really disappointed with this DVD. I felt it didn't offer much of a workout and I'm a beginner. I used only once and now it is just collecting dust. I bought Spin and Slim instead and love that one so much more.

1 out of 5 stars.  Not much of a Spin Challange, April 15, 2009
I am an avid spinner and was very disappointed with this DVD. Robert Sherman is like watching grass grow, not very motivating and very monotone. I was looking for someone to pump me up during the workout and he made me sleepy. Additionally, there was no jumping, no isolating of body parts on the bike, strictly riding and changing intensity and speed. I was looking for something more exhilirating and challanging. This wasn't for me.
